LOW TEA EXPERIENCE: great service, assorted food was delicious but it won't be remembered as HIGH TEA more so LOW TEA. This mainly due to the LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION and out dated crockery. The HIGH TEA EXPERIENCE was in the cascade lounge bar lower ground floor DARK DARK ROOM OLD 80's interior and i was so disappointed because it was my MUMS BIRTHDAY . We felt like we were at a funeral after party gathering. REALLY STAMFORD have your HIGH TEA ON LEVEL 1 facing north terrace , beautiful view, some decent light, ambience and life. Oh yeah change the crockery my cup was chipped.
Good location and we'll maintained rooms. Bathroom is bit dated and room service needs to improve
I came here for high tea recently, this was held in the Cascades lounge. Normally you'd expect a relaxed, quiet affair, with a pot of tea and some dainty sandwiches and cakes and although the food was well done, the atmosphere and service was very subpar.
No more than 40 minutes into our 3 hour window, a group of around 50 people from a seminar in the building, piled into the lounge and were so loud, we could not hear each other from one side of the small table. This completely ruined the atmosphere for us and we ended up leaving a lot earlier than we wanted. It was quieter on the street during peak hour, for comparison.
The one waiter/attendant was few and far between checking in on us and we had to hail him multiple times. Although it is absolutely not his fault, he was also the only barman too, so once the seminar group arrived, we were left to our own devices.
I recommend to those who coordinate the high tea, to move it elsewhere in the hotel, somewhere quieter, and to roster more waitstaff.
I recommend to anyone thinking of booking high tea at the Stamford to spend their money elsewhere. I personally recommend the Mayfair.
Lolovely hotel the staff were so helpful nothing was too much for them we would come back here again
Too expensive for the service provided. No free Internet in the rooms.
Always a great place to stay friendly staff and management.
We spent a night at Stamford Plaza Adelaide and were quite happy with the hotel. The staff were friendly and the location is good, being close to Rundle Mall and some nice restaurants. The views were none existent due to the buildings location. The breakfast was nice, but a proper coffee was an additional cost on top of breakfast which is a shame.
Beautiful hotel, amazing staff. So helpful and efficient. Room was spacious and comfortable. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.
I am staying on the 11th floor. They are doing renovations. I was woken up an hour before my alarm by the sounds of power tools, hammers and demolition work. For someone who travels for work a lot every hour of my sleep is important. Not acceptable to rent out rooms directly underneath or next to this sort of noise.
Extremely helpful staff, very clean and comfortable
Had a conference. They catered. All sandwhiches nice. The afternoon satsy chicken skewers where freat. All staff where polite
Nice hotel, although I thought the room was a touch small. Great view looking towards the Casino.
High Tea at the Stamford Plaza is always fantastic!
Enjoying Christmas thanks to the fabulous staff at the stamford plaza Adelaide.
Food was great but restaurant's online booking masses up our booking time and restaurant never got our booking
Have had to give it 1 star as you can t post this without it but would actually be a minus . Absolutely terrible, was there as part of hotel quarantine, food was atrocious. Even have there TVs framed so you can t plug any external device into them so you are forced to hire movies to entertainment yourself. When it came to checking out SA police and SA health told me I could leave at 00:01 on my 15th day but hotel staff informed me unable to leave till 8am as they didn t have the staff! Is this illegal detention?
Excellent night out. Stamford spa room was excellent, in room food was fantastic and the service by all staff couldn't have been better. The romance and indulgence package added a very nice touch and made for a very relaxing night away from real life. The whole experience was first class.
Very good. Nice service. Great staff. Clean. Would recommend
The service, decor, food, presentation are exceptional!
Enjoyed the stay but expected slightly more for what I spent.
Central, comfortable and quiet. The rooms are spacious and very clean.
Still two nights to go but excellent service so far.
We stayed in Stamford Plaza Adelaide for 2 nights. We had beautiful views from our room. The room was comfortable. Shower was fine. The luggage service was very good. Valet parking as well. Breakfast was good, but could be improved.
Wifi is not up to standard. It is only free in the lobby and it did not work properly on my iPad. I had to get help both times.
Perfect location, great facilities and food options
Convenient, great concierge, rooms for hire with refreshments available downstairs.
Nice clean room with comfortable bed. Convenient parking at $25 for the day. We had a room near the lifts which was a bit noisy, but bareable. We had a deal and paid an extra $2 for the buffet breakfast which was excellent. Would definitely stay again.
Staff is always helpful. Good view on the city. Great location and close to everything.
Possibly the worst carpark in Adelaide, or even Australia.
The location is great
Convenient ,pleasant Staff , love the driver that picked us up. He is such a breathe of fresh air. Overall, amazing experience
I am currently staying at Stamford Plaza for the next couple of days.. If guests' health and hygiene are not taken seriously, I doubt anything else would matter.
Good hotel but tired. The Stamford is a nice hotel with good facilities. It is, however, tired. The de or was quite old. We couldn't get in to our room until 5 pm which was a let down given we were there early. The staff were really good and in fairness, the price was excellent. The beds were very comfortable and the location is good It will be fantastic when the upgrade the rooms.
Very limited late night room service menu but otherwise stay was great
Went for high tea. Was of a good standard, but only one type of tea and vegetarian option came with less food items than non-vegetarian option.
We went to the wizardry high tea! Great theme, very creative presentation.
Very friendly staff and helpful good food great brekkie in the restaurant
Lovely high tea, great polite staff, restful environment
Reception staff helpful and Welcoming. Room spacious with standard emnities. Aircon was noisy and AC controller could be brought to more modern standards!! Otherwise pleasant experience!!
A favourite with us. Reasonable ratrs and very central
Great location in Adelaide, spacious rooms and facilities.
Looks grand from the outside. Inside is getting dated and could do with a spruse up.
Fantastic staff. Friendly and helpful while being polite and attentive.
Over priced for a very out dated room with a bed that must be over ten years old would never recommend the Stamford plaza Adelaide to anyone
Quite comfortable beds, perfect location, friendly staff. The rooms are getting a bit dated and the bathrooms could be improved but overall a nice place to stay.
Marvellous hotel with exceptonial service. Although it's not the newest hotel at the heart of Adelaide, it is kept in very good condition. So, the toilets may seem a bit outdated they are kept in good and clean condition. Breakfast is outstanding with a chef that prepares any special requests you may have. Too bad the coffee from the barista is charged extra. Would it have been included in your breakfast meal it would have given breakfast at Stamford just a littlebit more 'umpfh'. Rooms are clean, spaceous and well designed. And although I got in very early in the morning (7 AM), at the reception desk they were so kind to have a room prepared for me at 9:30 whilst getting a free upgrade as well. Too bad I can't rate them a 4,5 otherwise I would have. Will definitely stay here again.
Central Location Great Buffet Breakfast and friendly and helpful staff
Slightly dated in some areas of the hotel; however, excellent facilities and well appointed rooms. Centrally located to all attractions and conveniences.
