Stadsschouwburg Amsterdam Review

One of the most historical theatre on Amsterdam. Well organised and chique.

Sightseeing. A few shops inside, food court at top level.

Good good, it was great enjoyed hot chocolate in historical building and the weather is good. Friendly staffs, and great location.

Once Amsterdam's main theater. A picturesque schouwburg, but some seats on the balconies have a very bad view of the state.

Cozy place catered drinks good food and friendly staff

The more than 100-year-old building still has allure, despite and thanks to the modern modifications. The main hall has not changed, but the stage with everything behind it has been modernized. The theater offers drama, dance and opera. There are several foyers for a drink before the show or during the break. There is also a brasserie in the building, so you can eat and / or drink something before and after the performance. Afterwards you will be on the vibrant Leidseplein.

The restaurant is not recommended. The lettuce was faded, the sauce too fat, the burger too salty and too fat.

I do like the location and the sound is amazing. But the most concerts are to crowded. With a bit of bad luck you will stand behind a pillar of at the back where people walk all the time. But further a great podium

The dance performances are always atmospheric and of good quality.

A great theater. If you are standing in front of the wrong entrance. It looks like you're standing in front of a restaurant. That's pretty confusing. But the big room is super beautiful! That's why I definitely recommend it.

Generally fantastic performances in beautiful halls. The lower room has special charm but also the Rabo room, at the very top is a beautiful room where you will always feel good.

Great picture. seats fairly spacious. Sound is nice but very loud. long lines for refreshments. no breaks so come to the show on time.

This building houses 2 theatre spaces.
The older style proscenium arch theatre and a modern studio style .
Both are large, one neglected and one very new and modern, interesting as is the theatre that plays here.
Highly recommended.

Nice place to work, outside the hectic of the Leidseplein. In addition, free WiFi available and a good lunch menu. Staff is less attentive now and then

Good show from Lubach, had a lot of fun. As far as I am concerned 4 stars. Maarrrr, what a terrible place, on the side so that the largest part of the screen behind Lubach was not visible. And let that be a pretty essential part of the show ...

Nice on the outside, I think it's a historic building, but I've never been inside because I don't like theater.

Toilets were not clean there was a dirty sewer air. Music and acoustics was good.

Yesterday at a performance. Turns out that you have virtually no view of the stage at the top.

Beautiful historical landmark, especially at night. There is a restaurant and bar district in walking distance.

Nice programming but outdated building. Too tight seat space and strange routing.

Great for a performance at the ITA. That is just the Amsterdam city theater. The performance is Othello (Shakespeare) by theater group Amsterdam. However, it was disappointing. It is unfortunately a somewhat flat version. I lacked a refined build-up of all the drama that the piece has in it.

Excellent food, good service bit pricey if you want a double patty.... The restaurant just charge for two burgers without the extra bun sauce and salad there for 3 stars
