First off I would like to thank the entire staff for making this the trip of a life time!! they were extremely helpful and kind. They made is feel like royalty. My husband and I were blown away by their service. from the front desk staff, our personal butler, the beach boys, the maids , THE SPA personel, The concierge EVERYONE was amazing! The restaurant waiters and even the chef came out to see if the food was GOOD!! it wasn't good it was fabulous!! from the presentation to the taste of foods and pairings was out of this world! all of the restraunts were top notch. The bungalows were spectacular. very modern but also very tropical and tahitian vibes. with fresh flowers daily cleanings and even a nightly turndown service!! Since the resort is huge you can choose to travel throughout by bike (which we chose to do the majority of the time because it was such beautiful scenery) or can can call your butler for a pickup any time. The spa was very luxurious and extremely relaxing . We booked several activities like 4x4 tour and jet ski combo which I highly recommend!! we did the dream picture tour that included 200 pictures as well as a tour around the islands and all the prettiest scenery and ended with snorkeling at the biggest coral reef that had 100s of diff fish and underground pics. of course the swimming with shark and sting rays was awesome. Also we missed our taxi back to the resort from the main island. and they sent a taxi and a personal boat pick up at no expense to us. which could have costed us up to $100 to $150. but they arranged it all and covered the cost !! I would highly recommend this resort above all others and we will def be back. if you were like us and was having a hard time choosing I will make this easy for you... St Regis is by far the BEST resort we have ever been too.. Thanks for making our honeymoon unforgettable!! sincerely Mr & Mrs VanTreese #310
and a personal thank you to our butler Masa who catered to our every need and always had a huge smile on his face. and our fave front desk lady Clara for upgrading our room and even finding some hair clippers for my husband the night before our photo shoot so he could spiffy up !!

Beautiful! Great view, unbeatable bungalows, all services.
The attention is exceptional, everyone is always very attentive to your needs, they will locate you to give you a message, if you are lactose intolerant and you tell them, later all the restaurants are aware.
The manager asks every day if the service has been excellent.
If you want to spend your honeymoon in a good hotel. This is undoubtedly the best option.

If you're going to bora bora looking for a luxury ...

If you're going to bora bora looking for a luxury vacation, the St. Regis will exceed all your expectations. This resort probably ruined hotels for my husband and I, but it was worth it.
The minute you arrive on the island several of the hotels staff are ready to welcome you, grab your bags and take you on a luxury boat to the hotel.
The ride is about 15 minutes, more staff are on the welcoming deck and in the reception. At the st regis, every guestroom is equipped with a butler, a person who takes you around the whole resort on a golf kart introducing you to everything you can do, places you can eat, around the hotels private Lagoonarium, and finally to your room. That person is not only at your beck and call, they know your schedule by heart, the call u to remind you of reservations, and to manage your transportation even if it's on resort premises.
The rooms are clean and fully equipped, the maintenance team are on standby when needed, and the housekeeping pass by your room twice or thrice per day, to clean up and replace your empty water bottles. They have a copy of your schedule from the butlers to do their job when you're out so they don't get in the way. Impressive!
The water ranges between shades of blue and turquoise depending on the depth, trees are everywhere, and structures are built using wood, blending into their surrounding so smoothly.
Food is fresh and yummy, the breakfast buffet is superb and fill of variety. And a couple of restaurants in the resort makes it unnecessary to leave, choices of cuisine range from French by chef Jean George, Italian, asian, and Tahitian (te pahu). Finally the aparima bar, is the only restaurant and bar open 24/7 it also has good food, more casual though, a way to make it from breakfast to dinner, it has a part extending into the pool and it serves amazing cocktails, we tried almost everything on the menu and they were good. Go for the classic bloody mary
Our experience was unforgettable, and we would definitely recommend you come here at least once in your lifetime.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars! This was one of our bucket list trips and it did not disappoint! Every aspect of service is top notch. The entire staff is warm and welcoming. The general manager Richard welcomed us personally (as he does with all guests I m assuming) which is a great touch. Our over water bungalow was comfortable and well maintained. Akane our butler set up all our dinner reservations and made sure our every need was met.
Plenty of water activities on the resort. The Beach Boys
are very attentive ..bringing water and fresh beach towels regularly. By day two all the staff seemed to know my husband and I by name! We couldn t find anything to complain about! Truly paradise...It s a must if you ever travel to Bora Bora!!!!

I was impressed by the vast lagnarium and so many fish! If I had time, I would go to the lagnarium and swim. I spent a lot of tours, but I can enjoy it in the St. Regis. The Japanese staff also came and was very relieved. I had wonderful life memories. Thank you very much.

Everything you see is fantastic. It's been a long time since I've been there, but it still reminds me. It was a bit old, but it was a well maintained resort and I remember having Korean staff. The resort is spacious and there are so many things to do, I didn't have time to get bored throughout my stay, and the food seemed not to be enough to complain about. (The Lagunbai Jangjoji restaurant was the best part)

I remember being uncomfortable with the ridiculous level of overcharge, the wrong order for a souvenir, and the rudeness of the massage staff.

I only feel it after going around the resort, but the service here seems to have been poor. It's really superb for basic things like greetings, restaurant serving, and room service. However, there were many things the resort had to do well, such as changing reservations and delivering souvenirs that are out of stock.

Bora bora is a bucket list vacation. The St. Regis is a step beyond that list. Service was outstanding. Location was outstanding. The rooms, while a bit dated, were outstanding. The expense was great. I would go back tomorrow and will go back soon. Don't know why more people don't go to French Polynesia?

Our stay at the St Regis Bora Bora greatly exceeded our expectations. The facilities were immaculate. The service was top notch and very friendly.

Perfectly located on one of the barrier islands, the resort features views of the pacific to the east and the lagoon and main island to the west. Transportation to the main island is provided by the resort or you can even call for and off schedule boat taxi.

The overwater bungalow's are just fantastic. All offer great views and privacy from the other guests. The bungalow has an open air shower and a large bath tub. Swimming off the back deck was ideal. Aquatic life was abundant underneath the bungalow's and walkways. Snorkeling gear can be borrowed by the beach area.

The grounds are well kept. Bikes are provided for quicker transportation around the resort, but are definitely not needed to get around. There are even concierges with electric carts on call.

The St. Regis in Bora Bora is on a complete other ...

The St. Regis in Bora Bora is on a complete other level of luxury. If you have ever seen the movie Couples Retreat (which was filmed there) you have an idea of what it looks like but it doesn't do it justice. The water is incredibly blue and it is just Incredibly peaceful.

Food is amazing, with an incredible breakfast buffet. You have access to three different restaurants, as well as the pool bar area. One thing to note is this place is expensive, which shouldn't come as a surprise. Cocktails run around $20 -$30, with entrees for lunch and dinner being between $30 - $50+. The good thing is that portions are big, so you can split them and be satisfied.

Rooms are amazing, with some of the upgraded rooms getting their own plunge pool. If you don't get an upgraded room, ask for one in the low 300's so you're far away from the pool area. Good number of excursions available, so something for everyone. Getting to the hotel does require a boat trip which you have to get through the hotel, and it's $130/person.

This hotel has probably ruined hotels for my wife and I, but it was totally worth it. Every part of our stay was incredible and very memorable.

5++++ Favorite vacation and hotel ever from the moment we stepped off the airplane.
The service was impeccable, especially our butler Sebastian who was always checking in on us wherever we were to see if we needed anything. Housekeeping was always on top of everything but never intrusive. The restaurant staff were incredible especially at Jean George where we ate most nights. This review is long overdue as we stayed last December. We loved it so much we already have reservations to go back this December for our 1 year anniversary, counting down the days! The hotel is PERFECTION in every way! Thank you St Regis!

One of the top resorts in all of Bora Bora. This place is stunning and is most definitely at the top end of the scale in all categories. The resort is beautifully laid out and extremely well kept. The rooms are very spacious and contain lots of lovely touches and very stylishly finished. The resort sits in arguably the best location with amazing views of Otemanu and surrounded by the the whitest sand beaches and the most vibrant turquoise lagoons. There is even a shark park where they are currently nursing a pregnant shark. This is directly next to one of the restaurants so you can watch them as you eat. There are also a few inner lagoons which are teaming with marine life. There are also many activities on offer such as snorkelling (obviously), jet skiing, tennis, etc. And the spa is wonderful! Highly recommended for an idyllic stay in Bora Bora.

The Bora Bora St Regis resort has to be one of the...

The Bora Bora St Regis resort has to be one of the most incredible places to stay in the entire world. Literally, almost every spot on the island is screen saver worthy. The villas are super spacious, cozy, and unique with glass flooring to see tropical fish below as well as an amazing jump off spot into the beautiful ocean lagoon. The hospitality is exceptional with butlers, concierge staff, cabana staff, and restaurant wait staff that make you feel like it is your own home. It is an endless description of how good the food is with breakfast and dinner fit for kings and queens. Recommendation is to fit in a BIG breakfast, grab a shared lunch at the pool bar, and try out the Japanese spot, buffet, or Lagoon Restaurant. It is pricey, but its worth every penny. I cannot stress how amazing this vacation spot is with excursions, custom photography, and free fun all wrapped into one. 5 Star is guaranteed... and the weather is beautiful.

SRBB was absolutely incredible. The service, the food and the breathtaking views make this resort a must. We were there a total of 9 nights and combination of the delicious restaurants and special nights they hosted (an Indian night and a Polynesian night while we were there), we were always satisfied. The butler service is extremely attentive, we had Ida. She was incredibly sweet and so helpful. She made our stay more than comfortable. If you love the sunset try to book your hut facing the mountain or be sure to clarify with them when you book . Depending on where your hut is the view is very different. We visited their spa twice and had both the candlelight outdoor massage and an inside couples massage. Both are vastly different but both amazing experiences! The conceierge is helpful in booking different activities. Our recommendations would be the dinner on a private island, swimming with the turtles, and the jet ski tour of the main land (which includes lunch there). If you love relaxing and enjoying the serenity of bora bora you will be so happy, but if you prefer excursion and adventure there is plenty of that was well! Initially we were torn between the Four Seasons and SR, but we are more than pleased with our choice. Thank you SRBB!!!!! And readers enjoy your trip, you re going to have an amazing time !!!!

We were there in the July of 2011 for our honeymoon and by every occasion we cherish the days we had there.
Now planning another trip to the same place with our 6 years old daughter, can not think of another place than St. Regis.
Everything about the hotel AND the staff were amazing!
The consierge was so great and we booked many excursions from diving with the sharks and feeding sting-rays to helicopter tour to see the heart-shaped island close-by. The private dinner on the motu for us alone was great too.
Apart of the excursions, we never needed to leave the resort as it was so great. The food at its restaurants are wonderful so that you do not want to take the risk of trying else-where. Unfortunately we tried Bloody Mary because it is over-rated and we thought we have to try. Never again we dined outside the hotel.
The sushi restaurant was my husband's favourite and the grilled tuna from the room service was mine. So on our last night, I have ordered from the room service to the sushi restaurant and we both could have our favourites! The staff was so great to accommodate every favour we asked, they do not have 'NO' word.
Considering the people coming from all around the world and having different habits for breakfast, the buffet was wonderful that no-one would complain.
Myself having Mediterranean habits, i was more than spoiled to feel myself home with the familiar ingrediants for the breakfast and wonderful croissants as a cherry-on-top.
Thinking that the island is in the middle of no-where and literally the other end of the world for us Europeans, having all those European ingredients fresh every day must take a great work on the back-grounds. For that I am so grateful.
Our villa had a private pool but with the quality of this sea, we have never ever tried it.
Another great idea of St. Regis is that they have a Lagoonarium where they use a fish net to secure some area from outside sea-life. So you snorkel without any surprize encounters and also see a great and natural sea life inside it!
For our chance, we have seen a sea-turtle swimming-past our villa!
Bora Bora was the 3rd exotic place I have been to after Seychelles and Singapore and I would chose Bora Bora and St. Regis again and I would go every year if only flight would not take nearly 1 day without stop-overs!
I hope to be back there so soon!

My wife and I honeymooned here in February. It was our third stop in the Tahitian Islands and a great way to end a wonderful vacation. The overwater bungalow looking out at Bora Bora was fantastic. Extremely spacious with plenty of room to relax and feel at home.
The room was a little dated and could definitely use some improvements. We had some power issues and were met with some rather unfortunate weather.
The butler staff was all very friendly and helpful. At times they were a bit overwhelmed, but they did their best to keep up with our requests. They provided covered golf cart transportation around the resort during the rain which helped us get to dinner with dry clothes. They provided us with laundry service and each morning would deliver us coffee, French press or hot chocolate right to our room. The hot chocolate was absolutely delicious.
The staff around the pool and recreation area did the best they could to keep guests entertained as days of rain continued. By far our favorite part of the trip there was Lagoon Restaurant. The service and food was the greatest we have ever experienced. We even got to meet the chef. It is worth the trip from Boston to Bora Bora just to eat there.
The hotel was not without its flaws, it is very expensive, the pool and some of the rooms could use some updating, and some communication upgrades would be helpful between the butler staff. I made my displeasures known to management and they have since reached out to me and assured me that updates were already taking place. We did notice while we were there they were replacing a number of the roofs. Management also felt bad that we were not 100% satisfied and have gone above and beyond to make their apologies known, to which we are grateful.

Nice buffet on Wednesday night. Hotel facilities were good. Ocean villa very windy-tried to get a downgrade but apparently no availability. Lagoon villas better to swim from as less wind and calmer water. Ocean villa more expensive but lagoon villa would have been my preferred option. Bikes to get around are fun. All restaurants are beautiful however the fried pasta at the Italian restaurant (which came recommended by the waiter) will leave you feeling sick. It's like having raw pasta with yoghurt and tomatoes.

Everything was phenomenal, any critiques I can think of would be suggestions rather than criticisms - and for every suggestion I have, there will be another guest with an opposite desire.

Absolutely everything was perfect, staff, accommodation, grounds, maintenance, cleanliness, delivery of a luxurious getaway atmosphere, etc.

I'm convinced anyone with complaints is kidding themselves, they want to be unhappy.

Love this place! Second time to Bora Bora first time at St. Regis. I m part of the bonvoy family and travel a lot to their best hotels. This was my introduction to the St. Regis family and it was AMAZING! Bora bora is beautiful but the service at the hotel is top notch, best of the best, from the front desk to hotel staff to upper management. It is one of the best hospitality experiences I ve ever had. Their genuine care for your well being happiness and excitement is amazing. I loved learning about the history and culture of the locals and I will be sure to visit again and try other st Regis hotels now that I know their excellence of service. I have a degree in hospitality so trust me when I say: one of the best hotels and staff ever! Thank you Oliver front desk manager and Ari at the from beach staff!

For our honeymoon it should be Bora Bora. Over 40 hours of travel to the end of the world have been worthwhile in all respects. We were able to completely switch off for 2 weeks and were spoiled luxuriously. A fantastic location, colors where you can not get enough and great service. It is very high priced, we were in the 5-digit range for the holiday but it was well worth it. Bora Bora is a dream destination and we could fulfill this dream.

Stayed November - December of 2020

First off beyond epic location as far as views go, their marine center / sanctuary is pretty darn awesome as well. The service truly goes above and beyond.

The only reason for three stars. If you are a foodie stay elsewhere. The main restaurant for lunch and breakfast has the same menu day in and out. No real local specialties. We were expecting an abundance of grilled fish and prawns, to be frank I don t think we ve ever eaten so poorly over a week as far as nutritional quality. If burgers and fish and chips is you jam, non stop you ll be happy.

Prices are a bit bananas but you have to remember they are trying to offset their AUM through food and entertainment.

Only other negative is their signature restaurant was also a bit of a let down. You can tell they cook hard but no wow factor. Generic American eats with no regional flair.

Once again service went above and beyond the entire time which is what you re paying for, just if you want legit food stay far away.

Expensive.....again....expensive. compared to moorea this is what you hear about when ppl say that f.p. is expensive. Good location, great resort, somewhat large, like the largest in f.p. (bicycles provided free of charge outside your room). If you can get past the $$, it is a quite nice resort and they try to take care of you. For best water, I would take moorea (easier to swim and snorkel, and much clearer and calmer). But for aqua turquoise blue water that you see in all the pictures and postcards, this is your place. Hope this helps

Pros

Pros
Breakfast: We are vegetarians and we really appreciate the Chef, the manager and the team for the great breakfast they gave us everyday. Thank you for making us love our breakfast everyday!

Elite Recognition: Elite recognition recognized and all due benefits delivered. Love it when hotels deliver on due elite benefits!

Location: Amazing location. Secluded. Great resort planning such that the overwater villas have privacy and beautiful views of Mt Otemanu.

Hospitality: Incredible hospitality. Everybody was welcoming and ready to help.

Seawater: The best Seawater I have ever experienced. So warm! Perfect for going in anytime. I will return for the seawater!

Lagoonarium: The Lagoonarium has been very well done.

Oasis Pool: The Oasis pool is lovely.

Water Activities: The Kayaking, snorkeling gear etc was all great!

Areas of Opportunity
Spa Specials for Elite Members: The spa specials for elite members are not as great as the other St. Regis hotels which resulted in us skipping the spa treatments. Would love to see better spa specials for elite members.

Happy Hour: Would love to see a happy hour everyday. Each day can have a happy hour at a different place to make it exciting.

In-Room Remede Products: The resort did not have the full collection of Remede products as other St Regis hotels (example: No facial bar).

This is the best place I've ever seen. The scenery is unbelievable, and the service is even better. I highly recommend this place. I researched every place in Bora Bora for a year and finally decided to stay here. This place is definitely heaven, and the St. Regis is designed to take advantage of every little thing, whether it's the sharks swimming beneath one of the best restaurants in the world or the spa designed around the lagoonarium. I'll definitely be returning.

By far the most magical place I have ever been to! This resort did nothing but make my husband and I feel like royalty. From accommodating us with our special requests, to just simply providing amazing customer service. The butler that assisted us was Kseniia Veliku. She was beyond amazing! She helped us book our activities, our dinners, shuttles and boat transfers. She was always on top of everything and ensured that we were taken care of properly. The resort itself was so beautiful! We stayed in an overwater bungalow and loved every minute of it. Housekeeping did such an outstanding job with turn down every morning and evening. I enjoyed walking in and seeing the room so clean with their special towel creations. The spa massages were fantastic and the lagoon for snorkeling was crystal clear with so many beautiful colorful fish. We had initially arrived to the resort fairly early and had several hours to spare before check in, the resort was so kind to hold our luggage and let us use their spa amenities to freshen up and even provided us with breakfast, which was so kind of them. Similar situation occurred when it was time to depart. Check out was at noon and we werent suppose to fly out until 5pm, they then also accommodated us by still letting us use the free shuttle into town to explore before leaving and still provided showers before departure. My husband and I visited a couple of other properties and met other couples staying at different properties, they all had some type of complaint, especially when it comes to mosquitoes, luckily everyone had positive reviews about St. Regis and not once did we have to deal with any inconveniences during our stay. From what I saw and heard, I personally wouldnt recommend any other resort besides this one!

This place is nice, as it should be. It ain't cheap but honestly it's worth it. Excellent service and beautiful resort. The only (minor) drawback is that the restaurants are just okay.
