The medical center is very well designed and well maintained but it can only do so much to alleviate the long wait times which is customary for any hospital visit.

Interestingly enough, on top of the long wait times to see the doctor, they also added the additional long wait times to use the elevators. Part of the problem is they haven't implemented any smart queuing system for their elevators; it's on a first come, first served basis.

I got admitted for 2 days for a surgical procedure. I was in room 671. The room was very spacious, bright and clean. I had a good window view and the bathroom was big. The nurses were very caring, gentle and compassionate. Meals were satisfying and interesting. Sheets were changed everyday and cleaning done daily. Although there was something wrong with the TV screen and the room had a stuffy smell whenever the aircon temperature was above 22, I would still give St. Luke a 5 star rating.

One of my unforgettable experienced is that we were going to Canada. Then we need medical examination for Visa, so we go to St. Lukes. There is a scenario where She gave me something to sign in a paper, and I probably don t hear where to sign. She insulted me after I ask her for the second time. She told me that what grade are you? You re in college right? why is that you don t know where to sign it?.I hope I ll never see her again. She s a doctor tho and act with no compassion at all.

Hello St. Lukes Medical City Taguig. Today 31st. of July 2019 past 12:20 AM. I just want to give a comment to one of your Employees specifically to the Cashier Girl at Parking located at the 5th Avenue exit near corner of Rizal Drive. She is wearing a pink upper clothes or Seoul, what so ever! Her name is not sure if Grace or Chris. I don't know What should I feel Tumaas na kasi dugo ko sa ulo because of this experience. I feel my condition might go in critical level. MagkakaSakit ako lalo the way She treated me matagal nako nagPapaCheck-up sa Hospital nato because of the High Standards and Good Service of other employees that are polite and down to earth. But, you know what this is a very Poor Customer Service, when She saw me coming riding on my Motor cycle. As usual I gave her my parking slip with a smile but I think naistorbo ko sya sa Panonood sa phone niya sabay sabi niya "Casual to Sir Casual P100.00. i gave Her my Lab Results to inform Her that I need to Leave It after my Lab test for the reason that I'm unable to drive kasi nilalagnat ako earlier today until now. I go back at this time just to get the result and My Motor Cycle baecause I need to have a 2nd opinion on my condirion for tomorrow early consultation. Sad to say nakatanggap pako ng panghuhusga The way She look at me from Head to foot sinsabing sinungaling ako at walang pambayad. sa Sobrang inis ko iniwan kona sa kanya sukli at Receipt ng Parking which I can use as a proof. diko makakalimutan this end of July 2019 habang masama pakiramdam ko. I hope that you would take necessary actions on this ayos lang that they can use their Phones as much it's not affecting their Jobs. Gentle reminder please treat fair all the patients para babalik balik sila and always remembering the Good Service that the Hospital and Employees can give to us

It s really earned its place as one of the country s premiere hospitals. Constant improvement in services. Short to medium wait times, friendly doctors and staff and a well managed queueing system.

When looking for food, Don t eat at the cafeteria, opt for the other franchised resto s. The cafeteria sells a mediocre-tasting menu that are sometimes pricier than the other franchised resto s inside the building. If rice is your thing, go pricey and eat there. But if you are on a budget, you can get a better-tasting deal at the Pizza Hut right across it.

Known to be the best hospital in the Philippines h...

Known to be the best hospital in the Philippines having good doctors. I can name doctors that are so greedy and money hungry considering this hospital is known to be a NON PROFIT hospital that rich and can afford people donate and support this hospital. Doctors and their secretaries nurses and staffs are all money hungry. They charge 2500 pesos to only change gauze and bandage.?? whereas you buy a whole roll of bandage for 50pesos....
I said they are all money hungry because they wouldn t discharge my brother unless I pay his bill of 350000 pesos for hospital stay and surgery only..the surgeon anaesthesiologist and pathologist another 350 thousand pesos and they ask CASH otherwise a 100 thousand pesos will be added to their FEES if they will apply the amount to ST LUKES account..the doctors secretary also told me that whatever she said is strictly confidential between me and the doctors as I am the one paying for my brothers surgery & hospitalization. My brother was only referred by his doctor overseas and did not realize how greedy this st Luke s hospital is. To cut the story shorter I have to max my savings and credit cards to be able to get my brother out of what people say.,best hospital but call this hospital one of the best GREEDIEST hospital not the best hospital of how they re known for. Once they know you are an Overseas Contract Worker they think you re rich and they will start charging every breath you do in that hospital...
PLEASE....President Duterte have your people investigate this St Luke s Hospital Global so they can no longer take advantage of patients especially those people that can not afford but only wanted to be treated by the so called good doctors in this hospital. They should treat people and save lives not to get everything that these patients have saved.
ST LUKES MEDICAL HOSPITAL GLOBAL....doctors nurses secretaries and staff:

Worst hospital ever! They don t care about the patient, they care about the patient s money.
The staff are very slow and untrained.
My son had diarrhea, he was dehydrated and was taken to the emergency room. All he needs was to finish a bag of IV for about 4 to 5 hours and get discharged. But the hospital have a rule that if a patient spent more than two hours in the ER he or she needs to check in a room even if the ER is empty.
ER staff, nurses, doctors are just sitting around talking. I have to assist a nurse who draw blood on my son and he asked me if I have water so my son can swallow his medicine. They don t have water? Then the staff told us that the only available rooms are executive and mid level. The ward or the cheapest rooms are fully booked. It s like a hotel actually. I insisted on the cheapest room because I know my son doesn t need to stay overnight. Staff said they check again, they came back and said there s a room available, when we went to the sixth floor there were a bunch of room that were available
When my son needed assistant the nurses are very slow to come and they don t want to help or clean up. The doctor s have those scaring tactics, they keep on insisting that the patient need to stay more days because he s not well and might get worse, all those nonsense. Moreover the hospital s lobby is like a mall food court there s a bunch of fast food restaurants. Also there s like a bell boy in the lobby with a hotel style cart to assist you with your luggage. Finally the website will not reply to your questions and inquiries.

Expect to wait 2 to 3 hours at the Emergency Room before u are seen. If yoy have a stroke or heart attack, you will be dead. 99% of the people here in ER just have a fever or flu or cold. Why isn't there a priority system?

St. Luke's BGC is one of the best hospitals in the country. This is also my go to hospital for anything "sickness" related for me and my family. The ER is fully equipped and they have residents on call for most of the clinical departments. Waiting time can be improved though.

The Wellness Clinic is also nice and efficient. Results can be seen and downloaded in less than 24 hours. The added healthy buffet is also a plus.

Parking space is also ample and there are restaurants like Mary Grace, Bizu, Via Mare, and Starbucks. The Medical Arts Building and Doctors' Clinics also smells nice.

This complex boasts world class medical personnel and equipment in a modern, well laid-out building. Just about everything can be accessed in-house. Lodging, restaurants, transportation, banking and entertainment facilities are incorporated into this state of the art facility. I stayed at the 'hotel' at 10 North and was impressed with the level of service offered by the staff there. In fact I found all the staff I encountered to be helpful, polite and most important, medically adept and professional.

I will go back for check ups in future years.

St. Luke's Urgent care is the worst at urgency in the Philippine hospital history. I've been waiting for 1 hour and 30 minutes for a shot that should only take 2 minutes. This is a follow up shot, wherein further consultation should not be required. I wasn't even told of the consultation when I was asked to come again. They only told of the shot.

Avoid St. Luke's if you're looking for justifiable immediate care.

My boyfriend got tested for covid last wednesday. They gave us 72 hr timeframe for the result. We were also told that it will be uploaded on his online acct. It's now Tuesday afternoon and they still haven't released the result yet for some reason. We tried calling the num on the documents but the ivr said it is not updated. We finally got through by using the phone number we found in google. They keep transferring us to another person and no one is helping us. Horrible customer service for a world class hospital.

It is almost 4pm on January 9, 2020. There is a very long waiting time here in the Admissions office - lots of people waiting but there seems to be only 1 functional staff who s processing the Admission requests. Very poor customer orientation. The hospital management needs to look at their staffing levels, especially since this hospital is known for charging steep fees and therefore should be able to afford efficient staff to attend to patients.

I m from Toronto Canada and use to very high quality medical care. I used their emergency department for a serious swollen face from bite of some kind. This hospital is as close to International Standard as you can get. Still some dated practices but I can see it is well funded. I saw a Nurse, Medical Doctor, and an ENT specialist all within within 1.5 hours. All spoke perfect English, articulation of problem lab work, solutions, cause and prognosis was excellent. All staff seemed very competent. In Canada that would have taken 10 hours at least. 5,000 peso for service 5,000 peso for medication. Great value. Seamless care. Hope medication works. The take away drive to this hospital. They are not all created equal.

Our experience with this hospital was horrendous. ...

Our experience with this hospital was horrendous. This is our story.

Around 8 am, my mom was admitted at the ER of this hospital for high blood pressure (200/105). They had her undergo an MRI. I arrived at the hospital around 11am. The doctor arrived shortly and told us the the MRI results revealed she was ok, there were areas in her brain that were cloudy but these could have been blockages that resolved on their own. Then he asked my mom if she wanted to be confined overnight for observation, we agreed. We waited for a room until 3pm. Around this time two doctors (1 consultant and 1 resident) came in and did a physical exam (some tapping here and there). Then the consultant said mom was ok. After a few minutes the resident doctor came back and told us mom was ok (AGAIN...) BUT they wanted her to stay at the Acute Stroke Unit (ASU).

Naturally, me and my mom asked why. They could not give a categorical answer. They just kept repeating that she needs close monitoring. Note that a few hours ago my mom's attending physician informed us that my mom was free to go OR she could stay overnight IF SHE WANTS TO. My mom refused to be confined at the ASU. At this point, I noticed that the doctors were showing signs of agitation over the issue. They even told us to get a private nurse if my mom insists to be admitted in a private room.

Around 4pm, they wheeled my mom to undergo MRA (Magnetic Resonance Angiogram). The procedure costs roughly 19k. Since my mom was out of earshot, I talked to one of the doctors. I insisted they tell me the basis for their recommendation that my mom should be confined at the ASU. After persistent probing, the resident doctor reluctantly told me "she thinks" my mom suffered a mild stroke. I was beyond shocked. I angrily told them they should have told my mom or us relatives earlier and reminded them that the purpose of bringing my mom to the hospital was to seek medical opinion and treatment.

My mom arrived from MRA, and I instantly saw she was beyond upset. She told me she overheard the doctors conversing about her being stubborn for refusal to be confined at the ASU. She wants to be discharged and just go home. I told the doctors my mom wants to be discharged and that we will seek 2nd opinion at St. Luke's Quezon City. And because they could not do anything, they let us go after signing a waiver. The attending physician who initially told us we could go home or stay overnight for observation now told me he mentioned my mom suffered a mild stroke. I was no longer paying attention to their attempt of damage control. We just wanted to go home. My mom was admitted because of high blood pressure; but this hospital, staff and doctors were stressing my mom instead of making her feel better.

End note: Through my mom's medical insurance (Intellicare), we were billed Php42k for my mom's stressful stay at the ER of this hospital. I was informed that my mom won't even be getting any prescription because of her refusal to be confined at their ASU. The results of the MRA was not explained to her despite payment of 19k for the procedure. The doctors were unprofessionally conversing within earshot about my mom and her resistance to their baseless recommendations. I honestly thought this hospital is at competitive level with Asian Hospital. Well the answer is a big NO.

It would be 5 stars if it were not for their money priority Doctors, facilities, and other staff are great. The care is also good.

Nevertheless, I would also suggest food and drinks be provided while mommy to be is in the labour room. In addition, it would be better if the TVs in the labour room waiting area showed international content in English, as ABS-CBN with movies dubbed in Tagalog is not great for foreigners to watch, and of course you are an International hospital?

Also the couches are incredibly uncomfortable.....cushions would help.

We paid for the Great Expectations Normal Birth package.....74k......However, the birth ended up being a normal CS, albeit a CS is a CS whether booked and paid for 1 week prior or 30 minutes prior!

However, rather than allow us to pay the extra diffence between the Great Expectations Normal and CS delivery package, around Php 50k, we had to pay Php 136k extra with no inclusions.....so Php 210k in total

Jackpot for St Luke s, because they don t allow you to just pay the extra difference between the packages. They said we could have changed package the day before lol.....of course we and the doctors did not have a crystal ball.....so impossible.....

So for any mother s and families hoping to avail the Great Expectations Normal package at Php 74k, be prepared to pay Php 100k+ extra in addition to the Php 74k if your child birth becomes a CS, or if you fall into any of the other numerous void exclusions they have in place.

Patient rooms are adequately furnished with a sofa for visitors and a ref. The suites add in a Lazy-Boy chair, and a CD player/radio set. Because of such room amenities, the stress of the patient, and the caregivers is much lessened.
Room rates, equipment usage fees, and all other fees though are a bit expensive.

If I could give negatives star rating , I would.

If I could give negatives star rating , I would.

I am located in US but I want to share my family s horrible experience with St Luke hospital in Global City. I had the assumption that by sending my Mom to this hospital, she will get the best doctor and best treatment but I WAS WRONG! My Mom went ahead to a see a hepatologist regarding the nodule that was seen in her CT Scan on her liver that was performed in Davao hospital. The doctor immediately diagnosed her for liver cancer WITHOUT even double checking the CT Scan result. After waiting for 3 hours, I talked to this doctor over the phone and I asked her multiple times to do another imaging on my mom s liver to see how the mass progressed over the month and to make sure about the nodule but she was so arrogant and dismissive. She acted so irritated when I ask questions about my Mom s condition. To make everything worse, the doctor was telling me that there is no hope for my Mom to survive and she did everything she could, where in fact she did not even bother getting another imaging to double check the tumor. All she tell us is the cost of liver transplant 10 million and Beads treatment for 1.5M. She was more concerned on the money and completely disregard in determining what should be the best treatment for my Mother.

As a result of this horrible experience, I decided to find another hepatologist in a different hospital in Manila (Liver Institute). I know its subsidized by government but the hepatologist Dr. Jamias is FAR BEYOND COMPARISON to the hepatologist in St Luke. He is brilliant and the best. He sees his patient as a person and not just money. He is very compassionate and knows exactly what he is doing. Long story short, my Mom had another MRI done per doctors instructions in NKTI and it turns out that the mass that was seen in her liver is NOT cancer ! It is a cyst and the liver transplant is not even an option at this point. How could this hepatologist in St Luke diagnose cancer without further testing? Aren t they supposed to be the best? Or Maybe the reason that this doctor is very passive and act like she did not want to treat my mother is because we are not like her other high profile patients, we are from Mindanao and maybe she assumes that we cannot afford any treatment in St Luke.

I am so relieved I pulled my Mom out from this hepatologist in St Luke, if you value your LIFE, DO NOT EVER GET TREATMENT from St Luke!

I went to SLMC at BGC yesterday to visit a friend who was confined there. I was quite disappointed to see that at the 5th Ave Market, where I decided to have lunch, they had completely stopped their self service drinking water station. This is so wrong for 2 reasons: 1st - A paying customer s only choice for drinking water now is to purchase an exorbitant Php50.00 for a small bottle of water. This is a clear disregard of customer service in lieu of profit.
2nd - Your complete disregard for the environment is appalling! The Philippines is the number 3 plastic polluter in the world. Many are now proud to support the elimination of plastic use and here you are, where you already got it right, are going back to contributing to plastic pollution! Unbelievable for a hospital that claims to be World Class ! I know they are concessioners but I am sure you can impose rules! So disappointing!!!!

St. Luke's Global City is one of the best hospitals I've visited in the Philippines. I went here to see my Opthalmologist as I had some issues with my eyes, heads up that waiting could be frustrating to some patients but mind you it's worth it as doctors care is as equal as to other patients making sure that each patient gets the best care that everyone deserves. A thorough assessment was initially conducted for both my eyes and was happy about it. Upon finding that Femtolasik could be a long term solution for my eyes, Dr. Duran was able to endorsed me to Vision Laser Center even though she out of the country at that time. I was able to finished my Refractive Screening even though I arrived a little late. Staff in this eye Institute was very courteous and responsive to my needs. I'm also delighted that they are always smiling whenever they coordinate with patients making the waiting game or any eye procedures a little lighter. They use the latest technology "Visu Max System" for their LASIK. I'm on the process of making this important decision. In any way, St. Luke's Global City is highly recommended for the best medical care and latest technology in the medical field.
