I did not finish what I wanted to say before screen changed. To
those people who post that St. Joseph is not what it claims to be
I want YOU TO GET A LIFE AND BACK UP YOUR WORDS. Or get off
the couch and visit St. Joseph and see for yourself exactly what it is,
Boy, would you feel like a fool when you discover you judged before you
knew what is what.
I love St. Joseph and so do hundreds of children they have helped.

I was curious about where my small contributions were going so looked on Google maps to find it. It seems like a very nice school and I hope to go out there and visit one day. The children need all of our support so they will have a chance in life like many of us have had.

Be careful! They will directly give your contact information to every - EVERY non-profiteer and the mailings and phone calls will be nonstop. NONSTOP. How many trinkets and address labels can one person use? The "Indian" children can't be getting anything because they send out so many "gifts." They are very apologetic and nice (well-oiled machine) but this is irritating beyond measure. My mother donated to them and ever since, the flood gates have opened up with begging "organizations" and my mother who has dementia, spends all her time resorting tens of Christmas cards, hundreds of address labels, calendars, the list goes on. Instead of exploiting vulnerable older people, leave them alone. Just stop!

I donate to SJIS, and have for many years. I enjoy donating because not only do they accept my tiny checks, but BOX TOPS for EDUCATION. At Christmas time we send socks, toys and art supplies. Most always we get a letter of THANKS from Fr. Steve and the children.

On my 3rd year of learning, caring, and sharing with Very Special children (and adults), that are a part of me, as I am of them. I love everything the children send to me. My family and I, want and will make a trip to South Dakota, to enjoy the company of generations of great courage.

Received a pkg in mailbox the other day. A key chain with Dream catcher & Peacock feather below that. Very pretty, but have no idea where it came from as I didn't order it?? It wasn't in a brown mailer, just the packaging with this company name at bottom...?
Odd because I've had a wild peacock for almost 4 yrs now.

I enjoy helping this Indian school and the kids when I can. The underprivileged indians are never talked about it seems. Being part Indian myself means I don't mind helping these kids along as I can. Life has treated me well, so some of my blessings will go to them. Life has been a wonderful adventure for me. Pass along some of your blessings. You won't regret it.

I visited St. Joseph's Indian School last year during April, and witnessed talented students with huge potential encouraged by very caring teachers. I had enquired about working with students, and was granted the privilege of instructing them in ceramics. The staff is supportive of each other, their charges, and the children's families: I was impressed, and hope to return.

I have been supporting St Josephs with various small amounts, but never have I ever felt my small contributions haven't been appreciated. It doesn't matter if I send a gift or if I send $ - St Josephs has always been grateful. I wish I could give millions but myself am low income and sometimes it is all I can do to send a small amount but St Josephs always has been thankful and keep me in the loop. Thank you St Josephs for being there for the children & supporting their culture which is very important to me that native culture be learned & not forgotten. Big blessings & prayers are sent your way.
