Staying right now with my 17 year old daughter, and we came to have her medical clearance. But everything changed and we got to stay overnight. I have back pain and am sitting on a hard chair and not allowed to go outside to get a pain killer. Asked once to search in my car and they said that would be my last time going out and leaving my daughter alone in the facility. Couldn t find the pain killer in the car, probably left home. Now I m spending the whole night sitting on the same chair with very painful back not allowed to get help since I m not the patient as they told me. It feels like I m getting tortured. If they are not responsible to my daughter s health while I m not next to her as I m getting a pain killer. Why would they hold us here overnight? To send more bill to my daughter s insurance?

*WARNING* Corporate practice of medicine REPLACED all anesthesiologists from this hospital!

There are only CRNAs (not physician anesthesiologists), so you will NOT be seeing a physician to review your history and tailor your anesthetic before you go off to sleep.

Before you think that physicians are too expensive and unnecessary, know that they are paying their nurse anesthetists more than $350k.

Most of the nursing, therapy staff and doctors are really good and caring. I just think the hospital itself is cold and depressing. Each floor should have a nice patio where patients could get out and get some fresh air and sunshine. In a long stay, trying to recover enough to go home, I think the mental stress of being in such a cold, unnatural institutional environment hampers potential healing. Im healthy and I find it very depressing inside those walls. I think for my family member who is sick, it is probably so much worse..Every hospital should incorporate the opportunity to see beauty and be outside. The medicine can only do so much.

Not the ER, but the hospital. Stay was so bad, so loud, so cold, so unresponsive. Hated it. And on top of it they lost my clothes and shoes. Have been trying to get reimbursed since dec. 2020. Letters, calls, the run-around. Now lies. Finally in March a woman got back to me, Amanda, saying I had signed something saying they were returned. I did not, so I asked her to send a copy of this alleged form. Crickets. (After SEVERAL calls in March. Again in April. It was only in June after I said I filed a case in small claims, she said "oh, I can mail you the $98." I told her no, it was more now with $45 court costs and interest 10% per court...but I had the wrong name info on the filing (S/B Dignity health.) So apparently it is their policy to LIE to you. Still deciding whether to refile or contact a news organization. This is so unethical and appalling.

To whoever responded below, asking for my contact info, I obviously don't want to post it, but have NO idea how to contact you to give you those details...

Recently, I took my 1 year old daughter to the ER here as she was very sick with a high fever.
First I ll start by saying that there is absolutely no privacy provided for the patients there.
My daughter, and many many others were treated in the triage and sent out and called back in several times.
My daughter had a 103.3 fever and no concern was shown. We waited about 30-45 minutes for Motrin. No sense of urgency for my daughters high fever.

Once Motrin was given to my daughter we were sent back out to wait in the waiting room for more than an hour, WITHOUT them checking her temperature anywhere in between that time. This was upsetting and concerning to me because we were having a hard time getting her fever down.

When it was time to be discharged, the nurse took us back to a room with a bed and went over the paperwork with me.
When it came to dosage information; the nurse was no true help. She started off by saying Now I m no mathematician but let me see if I can help you figure out the proper dosage for the Motrin for your daughter.
I kid you not, the nurse came up with THREE different amounts, and said she was for sure the last dosage amount she came up with was correct.
I had absolutely no trust nor faith that that was correct.

Last but not least, the nurse said the doctor was going to come and talk to me; but the doctor just stuck his arm through the curtain and gave a thumbs up.
I wanted to talk to the doctor in regards to the dosage information and I was not able to!

Luckily, when I got home, I found a dosage instruction chart from my daughter doctor from her last doctors visit.
And let me tell you!!! The Nurse gave us the wrong dosage information for my daughter! A HIGHER DOSE, not lower!!!!!

I would never take my daughter back to this hospital again. Horrible experience and I am definitely going to be looking into filing a grievance.

I want to thank the nurses in ICU15 who were on last night. They were there for my older sister Jennifer Kurena Boeckel-Barr when we could not be. The nurses were extremely communicative and responsive whenever my little sister and I called in to check on Kurena. We were to far away to make it in time so the nurses really helped out by doing a video call. Thank you, so so much.

And to my sister we miss you and love you. Rest in peace. You'll be in our thoughts always.

The emergency room, is my experience and the crazy expense for stitches blows my mind. As some one who has given stitches and over more experience medical procedures, I was over charged and fighting the charges bit America's health care system is all for profit for the rich.
