St. James Place Retirement Community Review

My wife works in the Wellness Center at St James Place. She is a CNA and loves everyday she leaves for work. She definitely feels it is more of a family environment then just a job . She has been there almost 6 months and would not dream of leaving her residents, not only do they make you feel like family the staff is a family as well. This is no regular nursing home . It does not have long hallways, or wings as you would say. It is very comfortable setting as if a home not a hospital or nursing home!! She never comes home from work without a smile!! This is truly a wonderful place where you know when you leave your loved one they are still there with extended family and you never have to worry of there happiness!! So proud to say my wife cares for such special people of this wonderful community of super special people and family!! Thank you Saint James Place!!!

I just want to recognize the outstanding staff at Caring Companions. The management team of Becky, Sharon and Renee have been extremely patient, professional and accommodating in making sure my mother's needs are met. Sharon, even made a point of attending her caregiver, Carla's, initial meeting with my mother. The caregivers, Carla and Jessica, are courteous, respectful and have made my mom feel very comfortable. My siblings and I greatly appreciate the wonderful care you've given our mother.

Today I had the pleasure of interviewing with this establishment. Might I say that I was overly pleased with the level of professionalism, friendliness, and respect this community has for what they do and who they serve. From my standpoint as I prepare myself to decide on my career goals St. James place as well as the staff and residents has made me reassure myself that I'm headed in the right direction. Continue being great at what you all do.

Outsiders eyes this isn't a nursing home, hospital, or rehabilitation center. It's a way of living. A community that not only displays their ways but live it at all times!

This is the best place in for senior citizens . The facilities are awesomes...

Moving from Biloxi was traumatic even though I have a son and his family here in the area. I knew no one here at St. James. It took only a few days before I realized this community is truly made up of family. I had a new family. Even those who work here for us are part of the family too.

My Wife was a employee at this place, she told me this place was a 5 star retirement community and the residents and staff was the greatest she now works here in Texas as a retirement community cook and always compares How St.James Place is one of the greatest examples of how seniors can live out their lives in peace,joy,and happiness with a sense of having New great friends and extended family...

We have been residents of St. James Place for over a year and not a day goes by that we aren't happy that we made the decision to live here. Among the many reasons for this is the fact that it is such a friendly, caring place. This is true of the staff as well as the residents.

St James has rented out all the skilled nursing beds to outside patients , leaving the residents whom have lived there for over 12 years with out a skilled nursing bed when needed. They sent Ed to a nursing home off site and he is not happy, he is 98 years old and moved there12 years age just to make sure he was taken care of when he needs this care. I feel they have not honored the contract he has with them and I just talked to another person that lives there and she said they do this when they are short on beds. He has spent very much money to stay there as you know if you live there.
