I've spoken to several of these people on the phone and they were ALL very condescending, rude, and hateful. They made me feel like I was an idiot for asking questions, and I've got a Master's degree. Ridiculous lack of customer service. If you don't wanna be nice to people, don't work with them. Period.

I just got off the phone with a clerk she sounded like she did not want to be there. But she did provide the information needed.

Every time I visit the assessor's office it's always a pleasant one. The women that work at that desk are always so helpful and so patient. They always provide complete and thorough explanations and answers to my questions.

Only time I've been in there and not been in trouble, is when I got married!!! Haha.

Worst court house ever! Very unprofessional, unEducated People I had to ever deal with the state need to run background checks and do random drug testing on all the employees there. They can't be that

Called in to check if my daughter's birth certificate was in. Lady who answered said "We don't normally do that over the phone". Then did not help. Poor customer service skills.

Called in, bounced around till im at whomever handles tickets and hung up on before i can ask a question

The staff needs some manners and appreciation that they are representing a civil service

I just called in with a property tax question, got right through to the assessor's office and the clerk could not have been any more friendly and informative. I've done a lot of business in the Saint Clair County Courthouse over the past two decades and a FIVE STAR review is not only well-deserved but long overdue. My appreciation also to Brenden Kelly and the State's Attorney's office as I know these are very smart, hard working professionals that genuinely care about our community.

These people are VERRRRRY RUDE! Have no BUSINESS dealing with the public!!!

Someone bless these poor souls in this pour courthouse with Snicker bars - bunch of miserable potatos, if you ask me. Poor phone manners and communication skills.

I have a pending court case coming up and I was told the judge always sided with the landlords that s not right you can see the prejudice in the air unfair judges and they are allowed to get away with it because they all wear the same white sheets after 5 o clock they act like we are trash I never had to deal with this type of stuff in East St Louis dealing with slumlords in Belleville greedy landlords racist people live all through Belleville

St. Clair is one of the worst courthouses I've been to. The clerks are rude, and condescending, it's very obvious they don't want to work. They'd rather sit around and gossip!! St. Clair needs to find a more reliable hiring practice!!!

I have tried to call for community service questions. No one picks up or calls back. Then court came up and I had all hours done but would not approve because it wasn't on the list. I.e. the list I was calling about. When I finally did get ahold of someone that was after calling 6 times leaving message after message, she was just as rude now as when I was there that day. Then she hung up on me while I was still talking. Talk about being rude as hell. They want to be respected they need to show respect!! This is the first time I have had to deal with them an man oh man.

I have lived in belleville il my hole life !!!! I have watched my beautiful city continue for decline since i was a teen... this city is very bussiness unfriendly.... the property tax rate is rediculas and they do t care because you must jump theough alot of hoops... as always there is always good people .. but the majority of the workers flat dont care... one person told me once when i was trying to suspened my trash service for a while because the house was empty for a few months that i can not do it... and if i didnt like it i have the right to move outa town... and i did... then a few years ago they started this crime free housing ordinance.... it was 25.00 dollars... this year in 2018 they decide to raise it to 30.00 per unit... i didnt see my notice for renewal until nov 19th.. as i work a full time job along with keeping up with 8 rental houses... i mailed them a check immedeatly upon finding the reregistration on the 19th of nov... 2 days later housing calls me informing me they are returning my check. Because i owe them more money... the penalty for being 7 days late they doubled the registration fee to 60.00. And their answer was i should have read the letter.... I have been trying for 3 1/2 weeks to talk to this mayor and he will not answer, or return my calls.. i have tried going to his office and hes either in a meeting, busy, or running arrons. I have tried to make an appointment and they wont let me... they tell me they dont know what his schedual is... and this is the tip of the iceberg.... this city and county is crooked as hell... they will tax us right out of our homes... i am putting all my houses i have worked hard for up for sale and moving to missouri where they are tax payer friendly..... this is insaine... and it wont stop till there is no tax payers left... cant wait till i leave... i wont even shop here because the sales tax is insaine... so BEWARE !!!!!! Stay away.. and for god sakes dont buy a home here!!!! You will be sorry...
