Decent food and drink, very good service, not overly busy, nice bright and clean

Decent food and drink, very good service, not overly busy, nice bright and clean
Great bar for after work drinks
Lots of space for large parties and the food is not bad either
Very rude and inattentive bar staff. Very long wait at the bar during busy times and certainly serve the pretty girls first which is very sexist and immature.
Does not support if you buying non alcoholic drinks and makes it very awkward.
Decent ambiance at times when it's sunny outside, means you don't have to spend time inside the place.
We have held an event for charity at St Bart's Brewery for the last few years and they have been nothing short but exceptional!
Right from the early stages of planning the event to the day of the event, the team are very helpful and responsive. We always received positive feedback from those who attend on how nice the venue and the food is.
Hoping to return again next year!
Came back to celebrate Valentine's Day 3.5 years after getting married here. We weren't disappointed. Such lovely staff and delicious food. Wonderful atmosphere, reminded us of why we chose this special place for our wedding reception.
Great beer selection, excellent location near Farringdon Station.
Nice, comfortable place. Good food, and great location. Highly recommended
The set up is more suited for drinks than dining; the food quality was acceptable despite food menu choices being a bit limited. Overall a satisfactory experience.
Was there for a wedding.
Excellent food and excellent service.
Had a great time.
Good size space, located a short walk from farringdon station and a good selection of beers
The layout of this venue is sublime, you have stacks of space to enjoy an intimate meal. The menu is small but that is a positive in my opinion because it meant the quality of the food was phenomenal. They could charge more and you'd still feel like you're getting a bargain. A little gem of a venue hiding in the city.
Conveniently located near farringdon and barbican, it's a nice pub/bar
Went to a wedding here. Was a really nice venue but they cut the music short for stone reason. Which wasn't cool.
I got to photograph a wedding at St Bart's Brewery this summer. The open room with the mezzanine above is fantastic for high energy weddings and a band on the stage makes for one hell of party! Super friendly and helpful staff too. Also great location for photos outside with the park and Smithfield's market right next door. Highly recommend!
Great selection of beers and a nice atmosphere inside... Worth a pitstop!
Good food, pleasant atmosphere and a nice selection of wines.
Good place to hang out with colleagues after office hours. Only for a drink though ... Not impressed by the food.
Excellent IPA choice. You must visit apart from they closed the bar at 10:30pm the soppy flanges.
Was here for a wedding reception which was very well handled and enjoyable.
Went here for a wedding. Food and service was great.
Ordered take away from their lunch menu for work. Their new menu (Q1'2017) is fantastic, the short rib and baby back ribs are all excellent and succulent. Good portions for one person. The interior looks great too so could make a decent after work party/watering stop.
A very cool pub with wonderful staff and a great selection of beer and food. Also hireable for events too!
Attended a corporate event here. The pub had a nice feel. Staff were good and friendly. Everyone had a good time.
Wanting to have a drink after a long day at work, we made our way to this pub. The bartender downstairs was extremely rude to us in 2 different occasions, even raising his voice and calling one of my colleagues a moron for no reason at all. Worse experience in the 6 years I have been living in London, never seen such appalling behaviour.
Excellent pub, loads of Ale choices as well as the usual drinks, big open spaces with a little touch of class. Highly recommended the food as well
Nice high ceilings, decent atmosphere, beer expensive like anywhere in London
A typical city bar, suited to drinks with work colleagues....preferably when the tab is covered.
Busy pub just off of Smithfield market, good selection of food and drink and great for a city crowd.
Not sure what this place is like during the week but on Sunday this place was really chilled. Was here for Chef Ben Spalding's Small Plate Session. Really varied menu and prepared to order. There was a DJ playing techno that was kinda relaxing and I noticed a table there of very cheffy people enjoying the food and cocktails. This is not what a normal Sunday is like here I expect, but the food was top notch (to be expected) and staff were quick to serve us and eager to please. They did not push at all for their own beers which I thought was a lost opportunity! And it took a while to get their attn to pay the bill. Maybe too relaxed? Definitely a great place to chill on Sunday and coupled with this pop up menu was definitely a bonus.
A great place to unwind and to enjoy an excellent pint of beer. Great attentive staff. A mezzanine is always a plus, just a very pleasant place to go and have a drink! I thoroughly recommend as a base for exploring Smithfield and St. Bart's. Top marks.
My brother hosted his wedding here. Best wedding ever!
Good size venue for our crowd and flexible space for the band and dance floor.
The staff were incredibly attentive, patient and friendly. Food was on point. Pam the events organiser was fantastic and a credit to the establishment.
Good selection of beers, IPAs etc.
Couldn't have asked more of this place as a venue. Well done team.
A nice venue but it's a bit pricey, even considering the location
Nice lunch ideas but not amazing quality. Good selection of beers though. Would go for drinks rather than food
Went there for an event. Staff were amazing. Sara was a star, so knowledgeable about the English sparkling wine we were all enjoying, thank you for adding enjoyment to our evening.
Really liked the traditional setting here and the location overall. The food was tasty although the menu was somewhat limited overall. Staff were very helpful and pleasant.
Nice exterior and interior decor but devoid of customers outside of peak times. My most recent visit consisted of a round of drinks for four; gin and tonics for two, a vodka, lime and soda and a pint of 'Meantime Fresh lager'. Not a bubble amongst them. At least it distracted from the lack of taste.
Probably won't return for a while.
Don't go on a Friday. They had 4 bar staff who were clearly overworked. The manager came out for all of 5 minutes and clearly couldn't multi-task so left shortly after. It's not worth waiting 20 minutes for a drink
We enjoyed a Christmas function lunch there. Its a great place, the Italian lady who looked after us was fantastic (grazzi senorina), the roast meal and dessert was spot on. A fine, long afternoon well spent!
Excellent venue for special occasions with good craft beers & lagers
Great place to visit on a sunny day after work. Plenty of outside space on a quite road to stand and enjoy a drink. The drinks are a bit pricy for the type of place and other bars in the area.
Had a burger and sundae and both were good. Solid 4/5. Service was a little sluggish.
Went for a wedding - friendly accommodating staff, decent food, nice space. Decent selection of spirits, but I felt the beer choices were quite poor
I went to London for a business trip and a colleague brought me there for lunch, I had the chicken Cesar salad and it was really good. Cool place, nice food and friendly staff. I will definitely come back
I had my wedding reception here and have been back a few times since. Lovely place with lots of natural light, good ambience and well-sourced food.
Good beer but not great service. Expensive but standard for London
Bad karma. And u can't see what tables that are reserved.
Excellent pub, especially good for Xmas parties and the like..
Good Food and selection of beers. A little dark upstairs at lunchtime. Will be back in the evening.
Attended a wedding night party on the 27th April & thought it was excellent. The staff were all friendly & helpful. I would like to mention Sara an Italian girl who went above & beyond her role. We were a party of 7 and a little bit worse for wear she helped us out to the taxi who refused us and then went around the corner & hailed another 1. She spoke to the driver who took us to our hotel. Can't speak highly enough of her. The food was excellent too.
The attention is excellent! And he has very good beer
Large pub, with upstairs eating area - I visited for lunch, menu was small but attractive with a good selection of flat breads.
We did a wedding celebration here and the venue was absolutely spot on! Everyone loved the food, the decor and the staff were lovely. A number of guests asked us how we found the place as they loved it so much. The mezzanine is great if you want seating space whilst you use the downstairs as a bar/dance floor. Everything ran to schedule and the manager checked in with us every now and then through the night to make sure that we were happy and see if we wanted anything else done.
This was a celebration for our UK friends following our wedding in Australia so we've spoken to A LOT of venues over the last 8 months, and these guys were hands down the easiest and most laid back.
Had a superb wedding here and we're brilliantly looked after. Will visit again when in London. Thank you.
As part of our festive office lunch, we decided to opt for a traditional English Xmas meal at this gem of a place near Smithfield market. This turned out to be a superb choice which we all thoroughly enjoyed. We opted for a festive menu per head (chosen a few weeks ago). The smoked salmon was pleasant and not overpowering but the beef main was superb. Tender, with a great gravy to accompany it and offered with sides of Brussel sprouts and roast potatoes in goose fat. Service was excellent and would thoroughly recommend this hidden gem for a decent festive meal.
Quaint and well maintained classy bar. Good selection on tap and of spirits.
Beautiful decor, excellent service, great food, great British & beyond winelist
Good pub, improved food. Nice place for a drink in the sun next to the market
I've taken photos at 2 wedding receptions at St Bart's Brewery so far and I have to say, I think it's my favourite London pub venue. It's big enough to hold a good number of people but small enough so that it feels intimate. Most importantly the staff are super friendly and the food and drinks are fantastic. Highly recommended!!
Cool atmosphere and good music + nice snack selection from spitalfields market
