St Barnabas Nursing Home reported 18 cases with 2 deaths from COVID19 on 4/7/2020. Six weeks later on 5/19/2020 the PA State releases a report of nursing homes and it shows St Banabas has 61 resident cases, 14 employees and 31 DEATHS ! How did this happen - no followup reporting by local media since 4/7 and no communication from St Barnabas with the community or with families of residents and employees??? I understand COVID19 is causing havoc in nursing homes, but absolutely no communication from St Barnabas or from local media is extremely disappointing. The reporting on 4/7/2020 was done by several local media outlets including KDKA and The Trib among many others - why was there no follow-up after that report? St Barnabas is a large enough organization that they should be communicating with the community and family members on a regular basis explaining what they are doing to fight this awful virus. They have had no communication at all! Look at their website - very little information and their Facebook page has nothing - it only gets updated when they are advertising for help. There has to be a reason why some nursing homes have been hit so much harder than others - why has St Barnabas been hit so bad with the most deaths (50% of cases) in Allegheny County and so many employee cases? St Barnabas also has several locations in Allegheny and Beaver County - are all the cases from one location or is the reported numbers from the State a total of all locations? Communicate St Barnabas - stop hiding and provide information to families and the community!

They took excellent care of my grandfather and great aunt.

I was recovering from knee surgery and was sent to saint barnabus, it was a clean place and the Nurses were great so was the staff.if I ever need a home I would choose Saint Barnabus.

My aunt-in-law was in the specialty care unit for many months after a debilitating stroke left her bedridden and barely able to speak. Initially, she was very difficult but the staff was patient with her. She was treated very well. One nurse learned she liked dandelion tea and brought some in for her. Her final days were peaceful.
