Nice place for small plates. A bit on the pricey ...
Nice place for small plates. A bit on the pricey side, but the food is good.

We sat at the bar, way over on one end. It seemed to affect how we got our food, because the people next to us that sat down 20 minutes after us got their food before we did! By this time we were starving and contemplated mugging them for their food lolol. The bartendress/waitress was prompt in serving our wine, so we were too mellow to commit a mugging. Anyway the tapas all were absolutely delicious. Brushettas, we ordered the tomato, basil, and fresh mozzerel, and the seared tuna, were wonderful. Skirt steak excellent. Mushroom truffle ravioli( three for 15 dollars!!!l) were worth it. Roasted brussel sprouts and another cauliflower tapa excellent. So the food and wine( thank God for it) were very very good. The service, not as good. Several of our tapas were cold, but tasted good anyway, even though they should have been piping hot.
Mostly delicious! Limited menu, not cheap, but consistently well-made Italian faire. Ocassionally, there will be a cook who puts out sub-par food. Beware of crowds and wait time on weekends and happy hour.
Great food, drinks and atmosphere. Definitely worth checking out.
The service was terrible. We sat at the bar. The couple next to us got up and left.
Food is hit or miss but the good plates outweigh the bad. Tapas sizes are to be expected with pasta places unusually small for the price. Generally speaking one of the better spots in Clifton.
Everything about this place is amazing. The food, the sangria, the decor, the atmosphere, the staff including the extra attention you receive from the management staff. It's truly great!
We sampled many of their taps, and I will definitely go back!!
Nice menu and wine selection. Experienced sommelier.
Great place for small plates. Everything we had was fresh and tasty. Will def return!
Really enjoyed my visit here, the food is amazing. I've not had Italian tapas before and I can say it does not disappoint. The staff are super friendly and helpful. I can't praise this place enough
Little pricey for the portions but well worth it. Food was delicious and service was good.
Great place! Very classy atmosphere, large menu, and unreal wine selection. Something for everyone and you will find a new wine you love! The food was delicious, but expensive and the portions small for the price. But, it's all very fresh and expertly prepared. I mostly took of a star for the staff. My friend and I are new to wine so had a couple quick questions for suggestions based on what we know we like, we asked several times and were blown off by all but one of the bartenders (that bartender was excellent, thoroughly answered the questions and even pointed out other wines we may like or want to try). It was a bit off putting. I understand it was busy, but at that price and atmosphere, it's as much about service as selection!
Instant favorite. Enjoyed all of the small plates (though steak is better kept for other places and enjoy the more exotic variety available here). Efficient and knowledgeable staff, fast service. Our server was correct, 5-6 plates for 2 is more than enough. Pay attention, as each plate isn't much, but they add up. Still, no regrets at all!
It's good. I like regular size orders not small portions.
Delicious food! Loved their three types of sangria.
Fun place and the food is really good. The tapas portions make it easy to try many different dishes
It was nice. A little expensive for what they offer. I gave it 2 stars because it s definitely not family friendly or vegan friendly. It s more for a date night, with your partner or a best friend.
Always get great service and delicious food here! Wine selection is pretty good too.
Really good food. Very comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. Just a little bit on the expensive side.
Went here for a baby shower and was so impressed with the food, wine and service. Great variety of food. On a scale of 1 to 10 every dish we received was an 8, 9 or 10! I want to go back!!
Italian Tapas what a great idea. Everything we had was excellent. Fantastic service.
Celebrated my wife's surprise birthday here! She and all of our invited guest enjoyed it! Our friends and family were so surprised on the food quality as it was family style served in a private room we reserved. Emily and her team were phenomenal! Great customer service and we repeated some of the food that was brought and they didn't even complain, everything we wanted was served to us and made sure we were completely satisfied!!! Highly recommend this place if you're looking for some good Italian food, conversation, desserts, hosting a small party or celebration.
Best place i have been to in a while. The menu is very unique.
Awesome happy hour specials at the bar, and the bartender made us fun, excellent cocktails
Sat at the bar usually receive great service since not may people eat full meals at an empty bar but it was not good at all. The place is a good looking place but food is so over priced for the portion and quality they are putting out. Just not a place I would ever recommend.
Our go to date night spot. Sometimes the service can be a little hit or miss, however the managers are always around to pick up the slack. The bartenders on the other hand are always fantastic and incredibly accommodating. The wine selection and pricing is more than decent. Do not skip dessert.
Great service and delicious food... Can't complain!
Awesome atmosphere, wonderful staff and outstanding food. Would recommend. A+
A friendly, fun, well-decorated, and clean place to enjoy some very tasty foods while sipping on your favorite beverage.
Went for a baby shower. The room was small and cramped. Very stuffy. Had to request for the A/C to be turned on. All the food was good. I think if I was at a regular table for lunch or dinner, I would've enjoyed it more.
Ho hum. Food was ok. Not as good as I thought it would be.
Staff is very helpful and attentive, food was quite a little dissapointed lack of condiments "salt" ,tapas variety on them.
Mussels no flavor on them and Prosecco was not cold enough.
I had lamb chops and brussel sprouts that were gluten free. Flavor was soooo good and portions just right. For dessert, vanilla gelato which was also very good but portion larger than I expected. Staff very pleasant. Great atmosphere! Visit there when in town. Have never regretted it!
Good food, but figuring out the small portions is a bit of a learning curve.
Inventive, delicious and reasonably priced dishes and drinks in a warm and romantic environment. I expect to return many more times.
Atmosphere is terrific. Wine selection is very good. Service is ok. Food choices are numerous and very good.
Excellent tapas!! Friendly and efficient host and waitress. We ordered a few dishes: bruschetta, burrata, muscles, steak, crab and salmon. Seafood is fresh, steak was awesome. Wine was fresh and it's open late on the weekends. Fairly priced for great food!
Great bar experience, delicious food, great company :-)
Great food, especially the deserts. The staff are friendly and professional, and the food is served in a timely manner.
Excellent selection of wine. Food was great, lots of use for truffles.
Overall, one of the best Italian restaurants in the area. Fresh high quality food & great quality/selection of wine that will not burn a hole in your pocket. Staff is friendly and accommodating that makes you keep going back for more.
Have been here a few times and was always happy. Was there this past Saturday with a party of 7. The pasta was a big disappointment. When I surveyed the other members of our party, all agreed the pasta was mushy . Probably caused by their cooking it was earlier in the day and hearing it up hours later. Very disappointing from this place. They will get one more try, but that will be it.
I was incredibly disappointed with the food. The cheese board was basic, and all the small plates we ordered lacked flavor. Everything tasted plain. We were so disappointed that we didn t bother ordering dessert. The meal was not worth the money.
A wide variety of carefully crafted small plates and impressive wine list make for an awesome dining experience. Great for brunch, lunch, dinner or just a snack at the bar.
Nice enough. Decent food. Good drinks. Pricey. Middle aged after work crowd.
Such great atmosphere. The staff is great and so is the food.
Love this place. Great selection of wines. I love the cheese board, the meat board, the gorgonzola, apple & walnut bruschetta. The fig & prosciutto pizza, the sausage & broccoli rave pizza (just to name a few). The staff is friendly & knowledgeable to suggest what to eat.
Good food good service friendly people nice atmosphere
Love going here for lunch. Fan of the pizza and open steak sandwich. Mussels are good too.
Great place for a date!! Good food as salad on the picture but 4 stars.. Shrimps on the plate were cut on the half so instead of having them 8 in total you eating 4 which destroyed my experience :/
Went there with my girlfriend first time for both of us and was a great experience. The food is small portions but much much better than expected. Good draft beer too. Oh and wine if you're into that stuff
Great atmosphere, but even better food! All of the tapas were amazing with the bruschettas coming in at the top of our list (shrimp scampi and seared tuna). We also enjoyed the truffle pizza and carbonara - the perfect amount of food for an indulglent date night. A large variety of wines to choose from and great service.
Good selection of wines and small plates. There should be something for everyone here although it can get pricey.
Me and my husband came to this restaurant for a nice date night. Upon arriving, one of the employees (we re assuming the manager?) grabbed my husband aggressively by the arm and yanked him away from the hostess desk and asked you have a reservation?? When we said yes, he turned away and ignored us while we spoke to the hostess. It was very rude and alarming but we decided to stay. Our waitres was very nice, at least. We then ordered our food. I ordered the lobster ravioli, which was a $16 dish. The meal came with THREE, yes, THREE small, clearly priory frozen ravioli. It was definitely NOT enough to consider it diner. Just from two tiny entrees and a one-slice of bruschetta appetizer, the bill was over $70. We left hungry. The dishes are WAY too small and WAY too expensive, even for a small dish restaurant. I have been to pretentious restaurants that charge too much for food before, but this place was the most ridiculous dining experience I have ever had. Very rude employee and overpriced food for extremely average dining experience. Definitely would not recommend.
ps. Spuntino, please don t respond to this with a cheesy sorry ,but, or our specials are response. Our experience was negative and genuine, and no response will change it. Thank you.
My husband and I visited Sputino's with family over a vacation and I cannot recommend it enough! Our waitress was named Cindy- she was amazing! Our service was quick, the waitress was very kind and friendly, and the food was outstanding. Perfect environment for a date night or intimate dining. Loved our visit and will recommend to others!!
Amazing tapas! Good wine selection and friendly staff.
Go here frequently, try the beet and goat cheese ravioli
The tapas and wine are amazing and delicious my husband and I love it here!
Very good food and atmosphere for that area. Usually come here before or after a movie. I usually have to wait about 5 - 10 minutes every time we go there, it does get crowded. I am not sure if they take reservations. The food is usually quite tasty and they also have a 'secret' menu which you should inquire about. I have to knock off 1 star because of the prices, especially for the wine. NYC prices for Clifton, NJ.
