Update (01/08/2020):

Update (01/08/2020):
Person C stepped in to help us with the payment issue. With the help of Person C we finally got the payment issue resolved. Initially I gave them 1 star rating, but after remediation steps and quick response from Person C I feel it's fair to increase the rating and give the benefit of doubt for delayed payment. I still would be careful with timely payment, if you decide to work with this company.

Initial Post week of Dec 16:
Hello, I am a vendor to Spruce Technology and one of our employees worked one of their projects for over 3 years. In general they are ok but they will pay not their invoices on time. Once the employee left us (and the project) Spruce hasn't been paying our invoices. I have followed up via e-mail including their CEO and other management as well, but 0 response. I called their offices at least 50 times, but nobody in accounts receivable answers phone. Our employee who worked there said that many employees left because of delayed payment.

There is incredible promise for this start-up consulting company. It's very exciting to watch it develop. A majority of Spruce staff is honestly some of the kindest individuals I have ever had the pleasure of working with. That culture keeps me coming back day after day. It also has the feel of a small company/grassroots organization which is very refreshing. Organization wise, the company has a ways to go. A majority of its management is truly amazing, but the pockets of not-so-amazing (both from Spruce and client management) hold it back. If you can look past the potential mismanagement you may encounter, remember you are surrounded by great coworkers, and strive for that big picture - you'll find that grassroots needle among a haystack of corporate consulting agencies. I have no doubt that once its footing is found, Spruce Technology will become a major contender in the IT consulting world. That, in itself, is very exciting. Just don't forget your roots, Spruce!

Another phone pool of foreign people trying to recruit you for jobs. They call and attempt to read the job description poorly over the phone to you. They cant just send an email, they have to call and read the description to you on the phone in poor English. Then when they find you are not interested they rudely hang up on you. This kind of recruitment is dehumanizing, rude, and unprofessional. Why would anyone want to earn money for a company like this?

As a member of the Spruce Technology management te...

As a member of the Spruce Technology management team, I hesitated to add this posting at all. However, I thought it might be valuable to add a management perspective to reviews of our company. In addition, I want any prospective employees to know that the leadership here really cares how our company performs in support of our staff. As I tell everyone thinking about joining Spruce Technology, we are not perfect, but I hope we are getting better every day. At the present time, we are facing the typical challenges of a company experiencing rapid growth and transitioning to the next level of size and complexity in our operations. The tools, processes and policies that were acceptable for the management of a company made up of less than 200 people and offering relatively few services are no longer sufficient as we spread across the country, reach across national borders, and stretch our capabilities in many directions at once.
Recognizing this, the Spruce Technology team is constantly tweaking, investing and evolving. I am personally drawn to our company for both who we are, and what we will become. We are a growing technical services provider, built on the integrity of our founders, and we have our sights set high. Being a personal example of how Spruce Technology promotes from within and supports its people, I look forward to continuing to work with Spruce Technology employees at all levels and in all areas of the company, to make the company what we want it to be, and to grow along with our employer.
