Great place for a escape!! Pool and hot tub and dry sauna. The pool is about 80 degrees. Being brought back into the lodge days with lots of events to do to keep the kids entertained, to basketball to tennis, with bowling and arcade.

This place tries to be what I assume it was a few decades ago, unfortunately it falls a little short. To their defense, it's hard to keep places like this going in today's modern age as people are less interested in mountain resorts like this anymore. But the grounds are nice, the water park was enjoyable and cleaner than I expected. (Note I visited in an off season so it may be better at peak)

Our stay was nice but our bartender, Mark, was the best! Very attentive and entertaining. My husband left his glasses behind but Mark took care of them for us. Couch in our room could stand replacing, master could use a dresser and mirror, bathroom could've been cleaned better, and the lighting was REALLY dim. Still in all, our stay was enjoyable. Please take good care of Mark if you visit Split Rock!!!!!

Nice Quiet Resort. The options to spend your time were unique with the water park of course, a pool, an arcade, a bowling alley, tennis court, board game room, pool lounge which also had tabble tennis, and a movie theater. When it comes to the rooms, the room I had was larger featuring a box tv and a small flat screen, a dining table, and a full kitchen. However what bringd it down is the fact that it had minimal to no cell service at times especially in the rooms farthest from the resorts center and the same was the case for the internet. But overall a fun place to wind down.

This is a very family oriented getaway. There were plenty of activities to do. However, it seemed very outdated. The wallpaper, the buildings, the restaurant, the arcade, etc.

Overall, my family and I had a great time there and you can t beat the perks the timeshare provides.

Definitely not worth the money and the pictures are misleading... the staff had no idea what they were doing and there was awful customer service. The entire hotel is in desperate need of refurnishing. Walked through an entire hallway which smelled like pee and bologna, and the bed in the room was broken. All of the fun things to do are ridiculously overpriced, even renting a single basketball was over $20. Ended up leaving without even staying the night. Not worth your time.

Split Rock resort is a great place to take kids. Many activities to do, such as tournaments that the hotel holds, basketball, tennis, raquetball, arcade, bowling, an indoor water park, and an indoor pool. There is also a food court, and a nice restaurant . Satisfactory!

Visited Split rock during Winter break. We stood in a Willowbrook Villa . The units where clean and updated. Replacing towels took longer then expected. The winter has been mild, no snow on property. Visited Callback resort to go snow tubing. It was fun for the kids, $40 dollars fpr 3 hours.
Local dining was available in the area.3 days seemed like enough time. The water park was ok, and theres bingo at night.I'll cross this off my list.

Went here for New Years party. It was fun and the live band was great. Kids had a blast. The drinks were WAY OVERPRICED!! soft drinks and beer. The finger food that was provided was good. Could have put it in a better place or in 2 locations though.

Original room we booked was not what we expected. Fridge door would not close. Drain plug in tub did not work. Ceiling fan was disgusting. Overall the room was just dirty. The management was able to quickly get us into a nicer room and offered to but us dinner for my husband's birthday which was a nice treat. There is plenty to do in the resort and great restaurants nearby. Just don't expect 5 star accommodations. Rooms could use some major updates.

Dirty, run down, badly-staffed 1970's motel. rarely do we write a critical review, but this place was a disaster. Every piece of metal was rusted, every place that had paint was chipping, every carpet stained. Our Suite: a strong cherry-chemical smell, 3 lights not working, dirty tissue laying by the bedside, hairs on the towel, tissuebox falling off of the wall, a chicken bone laying in the hallway, toilet seats of different colors screwed on loosely and askew, doorknob loose and falling off, OK I'LL STOP THERE. But I am sure that you get the point. If you are ok with this level of "shabby", this is a great hotel. Otherwise, I would look elsewhere.

Overall I like the place. Waterpark is not huge and easy to keep an eye on your kids without having to keep chasing them(if not crowded) we try the breakfast buffet at the splitrock grill. (Weekends only) It was good for a fair price. The side of the hotel we stay at is easy to to tell that was old and far away from main entrance and main lobby and had to take 2 different elevators to get to our floor which I think is an inconvenience and few folks kept getting lost. But rooms were comfy well equipped if you want to make your own meals. Pull out bed was very uncomfortable for an adult but for the kids it was ok I guess. The pizzeria had really good food and fairly price. Drinks at the bar tho I believe where overpriced. 13.50 for a mix drink!. I will go back. Now that I know what to expect if booking price is fair definitely not worth to pay over 150 at night. Tho but less than that I think is a good option.

Was there for one of my best friends weddings and the ceremony was amazing (Nothing to do with the resort). Everyone from the wedding was staying in The Lodge. In order to check in you had to go to the Town Center on the other side of the resort. Then there was no one at the desk of The Lodge for 90% of the time if you needed assistance. When i checked in i found out they had split my reservation into two parts and i was promised that i would not have to move rooms. After the first night i got locked out of my first room with all my belongings still inside and was without a room for 8 hours. I was the lucky one without a room because obviously the dated rooms were not safe. One of the other members of the wedding party was getting out of the shower using the sink for balance as he grabbed a towel and the sink fell off the wall with almost no weight put on it. The sink then smashed on the ground cutting his hand open showing that the sink was not properly anchored in the wall. After a night in the ER he later found out they were planning to charge him for the sink and clean up.

One star for the bed being comfortable once i finally got a room.

I was here years ago and had a blast so decided to come back what a mistake. First off they switch my room accommodations to the worst building on there property. The room is dirty, my porch door would not lock, there was no vending machine in the building, and you could here everything your next door neighbor did. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND COMING HERE AT ALL. For the price you pay it's not worth it. There is some nice staff members but Maria at the front desk is horrible. She has no patience and very rude. I explained some medicial needs of my guest to her and she sad if they get sick just call an ambulance. She gave no assistance in helping me to get my original room back. WILL NEVER RETURN HERE AGAIN!!!!!

Overall visit was relaxing and pleasant. Good choice of activities for whole family available. The archery option was horrible. Need some new arrows with some fins on them. The lake is wonderful. The actual facility itself is very outdated. They need to replace all the original carpet and light fixtures as they seem straight out of the hotel from The Shinning. The water park was great. My kids loved it as we went during start of the off season. Overall very nice place but need to update to bring overall experience more memorable.

Navigating the resort was difficult at first. The restaurants closed too early. The room didn't have enough open outlits. The week before our stay the resort had a water line burst. The staff forgot to run our water before our stay, so there were rust deposits in our water. There is definite room for improvement.

A fantastic and cute location for a resort. It's split into two parts with a lot of parking and sits on a beautiful lake. Attended a race there which was organized quite well and parking was still accessible. Some improvements would be to have the restaurants open for additional hours (eg. Lunch on Sundays) and to have better signage.

This is my first time at this resort and needless ...

This is my first time at this resort and needless to say my last. My friend had booked it for me so I really didnt know what to expect. I'm relatively easy going person but this place really tried my patience. Check in states 4:00 PM which I was on time for. We all waited in line, got to the desk and then found out that the rooms weren't ready. Later on received keys to find it was a dirty room that smelled like rotten fish. I promptly alerted the staff and had to wait another 2 hours before I would get into the room because it hadn't been cleaned. Mind you they gave me a key to a room that supposed to be "ready" !! Finally it came time to get into my room that had been cleaned for 2 hours strait only to be hit with the same smelly fish odor. No matter what they tried it still smelled for the course of my stay. I opened the room patio door for the duration of my stay. When I approached the matter of changing the room they were all booked up, so my compensation as it were was a mediocre breakfast they comp me for and when I asked to see the manager I was told she is busy. Also the room by the way was with a complete kitchen. I believe if they have an accommodation like this then they should be able to combact these odors or else don't have this available to cook if they cannot clean the place appropriately. Can you imagine staying in a place you pay decent money for and sleep and wake to smelly fish ??? By the way did I mention that my room was driving distance of about a mile to the main facility. This comes into play if you have kids that want to use the waterpark etc. On the grounds. The service is also very bad. I hope this helps someone who is considering this place. Think twice. Unhappy customer.

We had issues since we arrived Monday. When I booked the 2 bedroom suite, the option I choose was a queen bed and two twin beds for the bedrooms. We checked in, got to the room and we did not have those bed choices. I went back to the front desk and was told they have nothing available. The lady was rude and didnt offer me any options. So, I asked for a cot and that was available. We have a 12 yr old boy and a 12 yr old girl who cannot sleep in the same bed. We also have a 1 year old so when it is bed time we like to have everything ready. This why we booked the room and bed choices that we did. At the time, we also requested bedding for the pullout sofa and washcloths. One was cloth was provided for 6 people. When you have six people staying in a suite and only have two beds most places automatically provide the bedding in the room for the pull out. Hours pass, no cot, no cloths, and no bedding. I return to the desk and request again. While we were at the lake, the cot did arrive but no bedding. No washclothes. The cot only had the sheet on it. I return again to the desk and let them know that I was still waiting. Needless to say the bedding never came and I had to track down house keeping myself. When I found her she had our room number written on her clipboard paper and said she had been there but we didnt have half the items needed. Not sure where the disconnect is. During this time we visited the arcade. We loaded 4 cards with $20. With one of the cards after my son played 5 games, it said there was no money left. There should have been $12. Javed helped us though the situation. He was very friendly and helpful with what he was given. The computer system was down and updating or something so he could not reload our money onto the card. After waiting for a half hour I just asked for tokens to compensate the difference. We didnt want to waste anymore time. Tuesday evening we visited the pool. After getting out there was only one towel for us to dry off on. We asked the gentleman for more and he said there were no more towels. He said he was only filling in that he normally works banquets. So we walked back to the room soaking wet. We used our bath towels to dry on and went to the desk to request more. And only after several attempts and 2 hours did we receive towels. Im not sure what is going on here but it is unacceptable. If you open up and book guests you need to be prepared to accommodate them. Especially when charging resort fees and service fees.

Only was here for the restaurant and bar. Inside was very nice and clean. They staff was friendly and helpful. There seems to be driving specials nightly, and it was bingo night at the bar. The restaurant itself had very good food, I had the wings which were very good, everyone seemed to love the salad bar's ham soup. They resort has a inside swimming pool, slides too.

My wife took me to Split Rock Resort February of 2011 for my birthday. The rooms were great, though a touch parted, even for that time. Though decent sized, clean and quiet. The view was beautiful! We loved the water park and the hotel pool. The restaurant on site was delicious and we loved the quaint look and feel of the main lodge, but also was outdated.
They had entertainment almost every night. There was also a store onsite to rent books or movies for your room or to buy anything you may need.
Hands down one of our favorite trips.
We would love to go back!

The location is great if you want to use JFBB. The reason for a 2 star review. This resort reminds you of an old time share resort that hasn't been updated for 30 years. Everything was outdated, including the H2OOOOOOO water park. The whole place is understaffed, and no resort staff ever smiled. They all looked miserable and overworked. There are many better options nearby for roughly the same price.

Paid over $2000 for an all inclusive weekend. The food was terrible. The first night we sent back both our meals and the replacements as they were worse then what was served the first time. Breakfast went okay but it took almost an hour from when we were seated till when we finally received our food. For lunch we went to the pizza place (the resort only let you eat at specific places for each meal.) not only did two customers who ordered pizzas after us receive them first but the cheese on our cheese pizza wasn t even melted! The food service was so terrible I went to the front desk and asked for a refund. They happily refunded me for the cost of the all inclusive but wouldn t refund the cost of the room. (Still over 1200) That was our first 24 hours and honestly that just set the tone for disappointment after disappointment. If I could go back in time I would never go here. I would recommend going anywhere but here. Worst stay of my life and honestly I would have had a better time setting that money on fire than I did here. Spending my birthday here has been one of the biggest regrets of my life to date which is a bold statement considering some of the mistakes I ve made.

We went up for CigarFest by Cigars International. The event was extremely well done and loads of fun.

The staff from Split Rock Resort was very friendly. It's nestled at a gorgeous spot in the Poconos right near Lake Harmony.

The facilities were a little dated. I don't know how old the place is, but it's showing wear. The parking situation is poor and the roads there were horrendous. It's right after winter, but the ride on property was a new suspension waiting to happen. The bathrooms were a mess, too.

I stayed at Split Rock last weekend and me and my family had a great time. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite in the Willowbrook and it was very spacious, in fact it was 3 adults and 6 children. As far as people saying the rooms are outdated, Are you really on vacation to stay in the room anyway?? The beds were extra comfy. The pools, water park and hot tubs were clean. The fact there's a movie theatre, bowling alley, pool and ping pong room, gym, arcade and laser tag on the premises made it even more fun. I paid the $1 toll when I arrived Friday night and did not have to pay again for the duration of my stay, I was also able to use the $1 receipt towards a purchase at the hotel. The food is a bit expensive so we only ate there once then ate out. The employees were all nice and friendly. I just may be booking another stay within the next month. Service did kind of suck but again I was on vacation didn't really care much for phone usage

Affordably priced for the amenities you receive. Movie theatre, mini golf, indoor water park (just to scratch the surface) are all on site. Only a 2 hour, scenic drive from NYC. The bar was simple and nice for cocktails and the breakfast was very good (especially the omelettes.. you must have the omelettes). The main issue with the place is that it could really use a decor refresh. Don't get me wrong, it was clean, but very dated and could use some repairs here and there. Still, I would not hesitate to go back as a family getaway!

Excellent water park for kids and parents. The environment is safe, clean and the staff is very mindful to keep children out of harm's way. While the price is reasonable and a day or evening at the park is fun, this is not the scale of water park where teenagers or young adults will find thrilling. Perfect for young children and those up to age 12.

I visited the resort this week. As of 6/23/2020 the following are not available:

Waterpark
Split Rock Dining
Inclusive Breakfast
Hot Tub
Sauna
Spa Services
Movie Theater

I was a little disappointed because the package I purchased included breakfast. The website isn't updated, so be aware of this when purchasing the packages deals. Front desk did say the waterpark should be open July 1st, but no date for resort dining.

The resort is outdated and requires a lot of tlc, but the experience and the staff made up for it! Gregory and Vikki are amazing staff members. They truly went above and beyond to create a personal and fun experience for our family. If you have children, they will have a great time. The bowling alley and arcade are open! The kids spent a great deal of time there. Above the arcade there is a decent size gym, billiards and pingpong.

There is a small cafe in the lobby with limited hours (8 a.m. to 2 p.m.) I believe they have ice cream, coffee, drinks and quick grab items like danishes and burgers.

Bingo is held in the lobby some nights. They give out some pretty cool prizes to the winner (heads up bingo is kid friendly)! We won ice cream coupons, bowling coupons, golf coupons and Split Rock Bucks (they can be used on most services at the resort).

If you walk about 7 minutes towards the basketball courts the rental cabin is located by the miniature golf course. You can rent bikes, bows and tennis rackets. The area has everything for a fun and active afternoon.

I believe we booked the Galleria suite. There's a kitchenette with everything you need to prepare your own meals. PLEASE TAKE MY ADVICE AND BUY AND PREPARE YOUR OWN FOOD. The kitchenette has pots, pans, dishes, cups and all other utensils. The grocery store is only 10 minutes away, trust me....you'll thank me later!

Overall, we had a wonderful time and we plan on going back next month when the waterpark is open.

There is a discrepancy with the price of my reservation, booked months ago and it was nearly half the price when I checked on it recently. My reservation is a month away now and I have been trying to contact someone in regards to my issue.

I called reservations and was transferred to a managers voice mail. He called back same day but I was at work and couldn't answer immediately. When I called back I got the vm again. Every day since for the past week I have called to the direct line left in my vm once or twice daily and I have not received any attempt to contact me back.

Today I called that same number, left a vm, then called the main line, and spoke with someone off site who gave me another number and extension to call. I have tired calling multiple times and each time I get a busy signal.

At this point I might just cancel and go back to great wolf. Thay have much better customer service.
