Spinnaker Resorts and Southwind Management Review

We have spent numerous vacations at Southwind with Spinnaker Resorts and have been extremely pleased. Always clean and the setting is quiet, peaceful, and beautiful. It is located in gated Shipyard Plantation and during busy times at Hilton Head you escape the activity and relax. Southwind has great facilities, pools, two bikes free with your condo, a great bike path that leads directly to a private beach entrance at the Shipyard Beach Club. We love Hilton Head and we would not stay any other place. Adjacent is Carolina Club that offers additional recreation: outdoor gas grills, tennis courts, basketball goals, indoor pool table, children's playground, and beautiful lagoons that both share. Just down the bike path heading toward the beach is a putting green that is at a connecting Southwind. The condos are very spacious. We get a two bedroom, two bath or a three bedroom, three bath. Both have fully equipped kitchens with washer/dryer, large living room & dining room, and an outdoor deck. It is definitely family oriented and a great place to spend vacations.

Perfect place to rest and relax after a death in the family. Staff was very attentive. My grandsons were disappointed about the lack of a television in the third bedroom. We watched gators sunning on the banks of the swamp outside our unit. Personally, I think the signage announcing the fact that "Alligators may live here" should have been in larger print and a bit more prominent. I did not see the signs from our deck prior to my sighting the first alligator on the bank.

Great location to visit. Toured Harbour Light House. Live oaks beautiful and graceful.

Furniture was really dated. Screens were missing and on the ground. Exterior lights were hanging loose and practically falling off the wall. Exterior needed painting. Would be a great unit with some needed attention.

A little dated but the rooms were adequate, and they had plenty of activities. The path to the beach was easy to follow and was only about 15 mins walk. We took our toddler in a wagon with our towels, etc and it worked out great.They had bean bag toss and a a couple play grounds, and several pools. We only had the 5 of us, but we'd still have had plenty of space in our condo, even if we'd have had a full house in our 3BR.
