Table of 11 people, we were seated at a table suit...
Table of 11 people, we were seated at a table suitable for 6 people, I was rudely continually bumped by the staff as the walked by and unapologetic.

Nice food. Outrageous price difference between eat in and take out though.
Speedo's is a Sydney icon. The coffee isn't always great but the view and the service is amazing. Locals relax here to chat and to watch each other or as a midway point in a bike ride.
Cool place and great location. Love that they have good thought out vegan options.
Great vibe, great service, and the chips were cooked REALLY nicely, but I came for the burger, and sadly it was a let down. Good points for the all beef patty, and nice cheese, but points taken off because of the bun (I know this kind of bun is popular with the hipsters - but this is NOT a hamburger bun) and lost points because it is too big to bite into and the price! All-in-all, lacking flavour. Sorry
The food was nice but it was so busy I found it very hard to be served at all. There is minimal seating.
Probably the best poke bowl I've ever eaten! Good service, value and quality
The food is really good, the staff is just terrible. I came here twice: on a weekend and on a Monday. During the weekend it was extremely chaotic, 30 min wait, tables are tight to one another and there s no personal space at all. Staff pushes you to get through while eating. They don t seem happy to work there either.
On a Monday, it was pretty decent, free tables. However, it took me over 30 minutes for the waiter to come take my order. She was rude taking the order and didn t know/care about allergens.
It would be pretty easy to make this restaurant 5 stars, the food is great, views are impressive, but staff ruins it.
Overpriced but its expected.
There s wifi and vegan options.
The food was very nice, we had the poke bowl and protein power + peanut butter shake & protein shake. Friendly staff and great location. Only downside was the bins were situated right outside which attracted a lot of flies
This is a great location. If available grab a table outside. If does get pretty busy so don't go if you need to eat straight away. We had about a 30 minute wait. Worth the wait though
Very busy Cafe. Most often a queue for coffee. Food on the expensive side
Very busy cafe frequented mostly by locals. The food is ok and so is the service. Ideal for a takeaway coffee.
Have been going to this cafe for many years now and can honestly say it's one of my favourite places in Bondi. From the incredible view of Bondi to the friendly staff (especially the incredible Annie!) to the amazing food this place is a must!
Ordered a salmon wrap and a chicken wrap. 3 fresh juices couldnt get better quality and speedy service. Very happy
Correct service. Excellent french fries, slightly weird fish and chips. We arrived a little before noon it was already full. Staff sign your name on a sign and call you when a space becomes available. Effective.
A visit that didn't quite match up with my expectation! My friend and I ordered the matcha waffle and the french toast. My french toast came half an hour after my friend's matcha waffle so we basically watched each other eat their food! The matcha waffle and the french toast itself tasted great but there were way too many conflicting elements on the plates which didn't go well together.
Best spot for brunch in Bondi, service fantastic, food not expensive and yummy and views great (if you get an outside or window seat). Though can get very busy. Will definitely bring People who don t know this place will find it hard to discover this little gem.
Overall a great experience and a great place to dine. I like the service and most of all value for money. Great place for family with friendly staff...keep up the good work
Location, location, location - plus great coffee, good service, a place you can walk into with sandy feet yet not be treated like same. A perennial family favourite, we've been coming here for 20 years - and will probably keep coming for the next 20.
Only challenge - parking - though we usually get lucky ;0
Speedo's is a lovely cafe right opposite north bondi beach. Great Views from the cafe and has a range of food/drinks. The Chai Latte I ordered was quite nice, but a bit too bland for my liking. Relaxed atmosphere and is perfect for a brunch or coffee break, will come back !
The breakfast menu is a delight! The waitresses were really kind and the service was surprisingly fast for a cafe that was full. The smoked salmon was so good with a generous cream cheese(?) spread underneath. The matcha waffles were dense and sweet which is surprising because it did not really taste like matcha much (but still really nice). The peanut butter milkshake and the caramel milkshake were also really good.
The food was pretty good, I had the waygu burger. But the service was mediocre at best! The waitresses hardly gave me the time of day and when they came to serve my drink and food they literally slammed it on the table while having a conversation with a coworker and didn't even acknowledge me. I felt it was very rude and unprofessional I would not highly recommend this place nor will I be going back.
Speedo's isn't just a cafe, it's a Bondi icon. Long may it live.
Food is very overpriced and portions are small, the staff were rude and the seating is very tightly packed, very hard to get up from the tables as there is no personal space. Not to mention the angry glares you get from other customers when you have to push past them. The Pink Pitaya bowl I ordered came topped with browning mushy fruit, and was flavourless and icy. The kiwi still had the skin on it and wasn t ripe. On instagram the cafe looks nice but not worth the overpriced, flavourless food you receive.
Had liinch there today. One of the best delicious and healthy meals I have eaten. Seared Salmon and salad. Very well presented cooked perfectly and with a very delicious imaginative salad. Desert was also very good and beautiful presented. The green machine drink and coffee good too . 5 chef hats. Better than numerous posh wanky restaurants. Also socially responsible ecocern real recycled paper menu. A good indication of a quality establishment.. Not for meat pie and tomato sauce no idea clientele.
Pricey for what you get, food is mediocre at best. 10% surcharge on the bill during weekends and holidays. Breakfast open to close but only some items so best to ask. If you re eating here you re just coming for the view. They don t split checks!
The owner opens really early, always with a smile! The eggs (scrambled of course) re superb with enough cream to counter act your bondi workout and protein shake! Stroll further up the hill (if you havent already had a heart attack), and you will discover wonderful tourist-free views! The lunch menu is to die for (the cream filled delights will give you a heart attack too!).
Service - Was good, waiter was friendly and smiley (that s what the one star goes towards).
Food - Food wasn t seasoned and bland, eggs were undercooked, no salt and pepper at the table, forgot part of our order, good sweet potato fries though
Hygiene- The worst part, sat next to 6 dirty, smelly bins with flies all around them which is such a turn off when waiting for your food and eating your food. Although the cafe have taken tables out for COVID purposes we were sharing a bench with another couple sat behind us so we were litterly back to back (touching).
Speedos used to be great but seems to be going down hill.
If you like the beach, sit by the window sill to enjoy the view.
I stumbled across this place on the coastal walk... what a cool spot! Their food was gorgeous and delicious, so fresh. Stylish and friendly. All around wonderful.
Really disappointing... especially the asian waitress that was giving us the service. It s completely a shame the way she treated us. unbelievable
Lovely cafe with great food and an amazing view well worth the wait times.
Pre-cooked pancakes and heated when serving! I wont recommend this place. The salmon bagel was also pre- prepared and heated!
I Would come back for their juice and chocolate cronuts! Coffee was ok. Its Nice place to chill in the afternoon. The place was a bit squishy if its crowded.
I wish they close later than 5, i d love to sit for a little bit longer :/
Good food and decent coffee but poor service and very poor hospitality/hygiene. There was a mistake in my order in which I received and extra poached egg in my big brekky. Upon realising this, the waitress took my plate away from me and then I proceeded to watch the chef pick the extra egg off the plate with bare hands. They told me if I wanted the extra egg I would have to pay for it. Since when in hospitality does the customer pay for the house s mistake? Unapologetic and poor hygiene during COVID
Always nice in the early morning before the crowds get there.
Standard aesthetic cafe food that looks better than it tastes. Food s also pretty pricey, seats are incredibly packed in and service is poor - severs are always super awkward and have forgotten to bring out parts of my order on more than one occasion.
Highly disappointed at the amount of plastic used. I sat in having food and drinks with friends. I got a juice which came in a plastic cup and with a plastic lid but, a paper straw. Would love to see a reduction in the use of plastic here especially being so close to Bondi beach. Please encourage customers to BYO cups and give your eat in customers glassware rather than plastic take away cups.
The food was ok looked better than it tasted if I'm completely honest!
The food was a great break from the beach. Good coffee, cinnamon rolls, and a blended juice thing that was light and refreshing.
Went for lunch today with four people. Menu limited, I ordered a pumpkin, goat's cheese salad, which had some hard pumpkin, little goat's cheese and lots of lettuce. I ordered tea, which came with a tea bag, warm, not hot, water and milk. No room on the table for the food at all. The others had wraps and cake, which was average. Not going back.
A "hidden" gem ? A MUST try. You'll fall in love with your eyes before you even taste their yummyy dishes... Pancakes and everything are heavenly made at this place. Recommended.
Wouldn't waste my weekend here
Service- Terrible
Staff- Rude and disrespectful
Food- overpriced and nothing like whats promoted
I saw Hugh Jackman here once and will therefore always have fond memories of this place. Whether you're grabbing your morning coffee after a sand run and swim or coming here after a long day spent in the sun you will find something on the menu. If it's hot i suggest grabbing a mango smoothie.
We had lunch here today. Great view. Grilled chicken salad ok but nothing special, the lamb with quinoa just tasteless. Friendly approach at the counter when we were ready to pay but didn't like the service at the table from both waitresses. I don't think we will be back again.
Great service and great food, always a treat for the kids.
Lovely food selection and pretty great service. Thank you
There is a rude waitress who is Asian woman, and she was rude to everyone, not only customers. I saw her gave some customer the middle finger. I think the customer didn t see that, but I really shocked. And she was rude attitude to me and my friend, we didn t do anything, we just tried to pay so we were standing front of register. And then, she gave a sigh with sulky attitude. I ve never met like this bad attitude human. She ruined our trip.
Another two waitresses are really great.
The best thing about this place is their location. Convenient.
They offer a few vegan options for the progressive crowd and it doesn't feel protentious.
Coffee sucks, food feels a little 'expected more' and music choice is outdated.
Waitress had a bad attitude.
Great place, very good food! Just the garbage cans that were next to our table it was just yucky and it smelled very bad when we ate but their pancakes were very good, and service too.
Use to be really good but now just rude staff and overpriced food.
Went here after a swim at bondi beach, staff were polite and attentive. Only had a snack here of a toastie and sweet potato fries and was tasty. Would definitely come back to try their other menu items and recommend this cafe as well.
One of Sydney s most instagramable cafes and boy does it life up to the name when in comes to plating.
I ve been here only a few times and even sent friends to try it out too. But unfortantly their experience was similar to mine.. it looked great but didn t have to much flavour or you just couldn t rate it !
Maybe we all had bad luck when it comes to deciding what to order and chose maybe the wrong things. So for now it s going back on my list to visit and hopefully it can uphold the standard of plating to flavour.
It's a small and cramped cafe and always busy so I recommend only going in small groups.
Nice setting but their peanut butter smoothie is not a smoothie at all. Please learn how to make a proper smoothie - one that is THICK, cold and smooth not lumpy & runny! And for $9.90 it was quite small and not worth the price. (on a positive - staff were lovely)
Dropped in with a friend for breakfast and was lucky enough to be one of the first to try one of their new menu items (pictured).
Amazing breakfast, great coffee, a lovely view and really friendly staff.
Recommended.
Just had breakfast there. Creative menu. Food maybe a little overpriced but was good quality. Service was good until when I went to pay for my bill. There was a long queue of people waiting to order food. I asked a staff and she said I can cut the line if I am just paying for my bill. However the counter girl didn't look very friendly when she saw me. She took my payment, didn't say thank you or ask if I would like my receipt. I believe I have been overcharged but I didn't have a chance to ask because she just turned to the next customer straight after I tapped my card. I felt that she just wanted me to leave quickly. Later on I looked up the menu online and confimed that I was overcharged. Probably won't go back again.
Friendly service and amazing food, busy but the food came out quickly
Great beachside cafe. Beautiful view of Bondi Beach. Was really busy on a long weekend sunday morning, and managed to get a table for 9. However, advise against the pancakes- while they look lovely, it was a bit too sweet and heavy. Great service and well-priced.
Great view for a long brunch people and surf watching. Good food variety. Go for the green goodness bowl for health with excellent taste, or the big brekky if you're missing that classic English that is often missed on Australia brunch menus. (However, I was told by dining partner that the quality of big brekky isn't as good as the ones at The Dairy or Shuk).
Family have been going here for a few years as the food and view (if you're facing the right way) is good but they seem to have squeezed in another row of tables into the already overfilled space. Won't be going back as just a few cm's between customers isn't enough. Will go to one of the many other great cafes in Bondi
A lovely Aussie Cafe<3
The best vegan pancakes that I ever eat and a nice view to the beach of bondi!
All the Waitress are so friendly and the atmosphere is good:)
The style from the Cafe is so fresh, modern and instagram friendly haha, I really like it
The perfect place for a meal at Bondi Beach. Great view and friendly staff
Beautiful donut but not very good taste. Also tried the triple stack pancake, which is quite impressive. Not very sweet, nice :)
Perfect location, and not wasted with mediocre food or service. Well done - the Detox Smoothie is brilliant.
Great vibe ,slightly crowded and staff took a little while to take out order but overall not a bad brunch spot.
Amazing food, amazing vibe, amazing people. Must try the big breakfast and That crushed lemonade thingy & mango madness. Loved it. Big shoutout to these guys. You ll be lucky if you get the window seat. The view s amazing!
The soft shell crab burger is epic though it is priced on the higher end
Ok view. Food average and v expensive for the taste and portions. So many other better places to go in Bondi.
Food that looks good, but unfortunately does not taste that good. Garlic prawn linguini with no trace of garlic, Salmon and zucchini noodles with absolutely no salt at all. Huge let down.
Location is second to none. Must visit. Food good coffee not the best. Better coffee at Depot or Bru food is fine.
This is a matter of 5 minutes ago: my sister and I headed into Speedo s Cafe to grab a quick bite before heading to a restaurant located an hour away. We didn t want too much to eat and asked what the serving size is for their chips and whether it would be enough for eight. After being given an indication by the waitress, we ordered 1 serving but not without getting a taunt, 1 for 8 people? accompanied with a rudely expressive face. From other Google reviews, we can see other people have had the same issue with the same waitress. This didn t sit well with me and it s something the cafe should consider.
