Had the French toast and it was delicious wasn't too sweet

Served up pastries from the day before and they had the consistency and taste of cardboard. Worse yet, the staff didn't seem concerned about their cabinet full of inedible pastries and continued to serve them.

However, very good coffee.

Lovely setting with wide open windows and a great view of Bondi beach, however, after such a hype I was disappointed with the food. I found it to be quite expensive for what you get, food presentation makes you think it's better than it is. The drinks are a positive though. Additionally, It is not spacious at all, which makes for a stressful dining experience. Overall, would not return.

Food was excellent and above my expectations. Service was quick and excellent.

Iconic spot ... food very good but it's a place where you can wear bathers and come covered in sand. But it's a Bondi institution and a MUST if you're visiting. Service average but you'll get a great feed. TIP: go early around 7am and sit outside and watch the procession of beautiful fit people walking past !!

Speedos cafe is hands down the best cafe in Bondi. The breakfast menu has a little bit of everything from meat dishes to vegan friendly options.

If you are hungry then look no further this place serves up some monster meals! The first couple of time me and my mrs attended speedos we ordered separate meals... oh joy is that a mistake... after the third day of ordering seperate meals we decided to order and share which still was enough to satisfy the soul.

The coffees are excellent as it s hard to impress my mrs however in this instance she fell in love with the skim mocha s.

All in all, if you are in the Bondi area we highly recommend trying the speedos breakfast menu.

It will fill you up so you can go and go and go!

Always bustling busy pretty good food but I'd rather go for take away too busy sitting in with so many take away orders as is next to north bondi

Always come here when I'm in North Bondi, only downfall is that the layout and tables are accommodating to how many customers come through. It's a small space so obviously you won't be able to fully accommodate but you could be more strategic

I saw a the cafe from social media with beautiful food pictures, so I gave it a try. The setting of the place is good as they have wide and open windows, which makes it look very spacious and makes the ventilation really good. However, the place needs expansion as it was too crowded. You barely have a space for you to walk through. Food was OK in terms of taste but presentations are really pretty. Service had a delay for our table and we had to follow up our orders for at least three times.

The staff here are super super friendly. Genuinely nice people. Superb coffee and out of this world cronuts! Large selection of food and beverages for breakfast and lunch.

Very very busy but we managed to get a seat outside. It has a great view of the beach which was nice with our meal. The food was good but not incredible and a touch overpriced.

Great place to go to. Good environment and friedly staff. Food is good too. Would love to come again.

Nice location and very well prepared food, flavorful (especially the pancakes) but air upstairs.

Food was ok, although the roasted carrot in the dish I ordered tasted off.
The place itself doesn't look very clean. The waitress service when we ordered was good, but the girl that got us the food pretty much chucked the plate on the table and didn't even said "thanks" or looked at us. Last but not least...I smile on that girl's face wouldn't be bad at all (short girl, with a southamerican accent). Maybe she needs a course on customer service. ..just saying.

The view is spectacular but the air cond didn't work very well.

Not sure I could say that the food was worth the wait but it's still a very nice cafe!

This restaurant has some excellent vegan options, I was really pleased by their nutter smoothie and turmeric latte.

I really enjoyed this visit. Had the big brekkie and it felt like I was back in the UK having a full English except it felt slightly healthier. It probably wasn't. That's most likely the bondi influence. It was a brilliant breakfast though. Very filling and an amazing view across bondi beach!

Very busy place but very popular for locals and very well located near beach front and parking

Been there on a sunny and busy day. Food was good, nice view but had the worst smoothie in a long time.. probably more ice than anything else, barely tasted banana..

Tasty unique food that was well presented and delicious for any dietary requirements but expensive as they charge a surcharge on weekends.

Lovely brunch spot overlooking Bondi beach from the north side. Next door to the surf school. Perch at the window and get stuck into pesto, chilli, smashed av's and eggs.

Good food, good location but terrible service. We came on a Wednesday morning, had to wait more than 25 minutes for a table. Ordered a coffee to go while waiting, staff member made a coffee for herself before making a coffee for me. Overcrowded. We were placed near the door, constantly had elbows in our back and bumped from patrons. Two of our party's meals came way before the last. The last dish was on the counter for 10 minutes before we had to remind the server to get it. When ringing up the check, the employee at the cash register did not make eye contact and was too busy in conversation with a coworker to focus on us paying.

Definitely a place getting by on the name and location rather than the service.

Bondi institution. Good for a quick coffee and take away snack. Can get real busy on weekend mornings so keep that in mind.

Absolutely awesome!
From standing out the front to finishing our meals everything was smooth fast and very friendly.
The food was epic! Had the vegan pancakes, perfect balance of savoury and sweet and the peanut nutter was delicious, highly recommended and will be back many more times

Very busy, very noisy, very good! Right on bondi beach, excellent coffee/eggs!

I would be more than willing to put on weight if I can have desserts here every single day! The cream cheese fig cronut is to die-for! Everything looks so yummy so you're guaranteed a tough time picking your desserts. My friend and I were lucky to get a table by the window so we were able to look out into the beach and watch the sun set behind the buildings.

Commercialization to the max. Not at all laid back; assembly line "service" and no room. Asked by three different waitresses 1 min apart "are you ready to order are you ready to order are you ready to order". Breathe! They then point out the things that are Instagrammable as if this is the only priority. Food for us as a couple came out staggered. Save your time and precious beach days... Find something else that is chill, special, and local authentic

Came for the pancakes and they didn t disappoint. Fluffy with beautiful rainbow of fruit. Better if had more maple syrup. Service friendly and efficient.

Downside tables dirty, ambiance was lacking and 10% weekend surcharge. Recommend to try but don t think I will come back.

Awesome location for breakfast on a Sunday.
I read the reviews and there seemed to be a mix of good ones and terrible ones. I personally had an amazing experience.
The service was quick and the staff super friendly. The food came quickly and all of it was fresh and extremely tasty. I've got a couple of fussy eaters in my family and they ate everything.
I'd highly recommend coming here for breakfast. The view is sensational!

Nice place with a great view, but can be very busy and hard to get a table.

Very disappointed.... we were sitting 2 metres away from full otto bins which completely STANK. The table was so sticky my napkin stuck to it and despite the colourful and tasty meal (amid the bin stench) it was the smallest and most expensive breakfast I've ever had. Service was ok though and the view was fantastic

Perfect cafe right on the edge of Bondi.

Speedos had been on my list to visit for quite a while and going to Bondi presented the perfect opportunity to do so. The food was excellent and they had a great selection of food, drink and snacks. The staff were helpful and friendly and service was incredibly quick. Would highly recommend if you can get a seat.

Got the wrong coffee but apparently I ordered it. Ok.. it's noisy so can over look it.
Told we had 10 mins to order. Probably could have told us before we sat down.
Then came the food. Rubbish.

Great views, great location but that's about it. Bondi Beach right at the door steps and some tables overlook the beach. That's the only reason to go there.
The service was alright just a bit slow and in my personal opinion not professional. I went there twice and the barista would not stop hitting on me, even the other staff were asking me for my phone number for him. On one point it got too awkward and creepy - it was the "Hi" coffee.
I tried their Pitaya Bowl. It looks great but doesn't taste as good as it looks like. I feel like the smoothie didn't't have a lot of taste to it.

Summarised - there are better cafes out there.

Friendly ladies making coffee, but $3.50 is expensive for an espresso. But... Bondi

Rudest staff and very unorganised service. 2 burgers we ve ordered came with different tabs and waitress didn t let us get the burgers on the counter saying they are individual tabs. 15 mins later when we ask for our burgers cashier admits his mistake laughing and gives ice those cold burgers. The waiting area is a mess and once they take your money, they don t care. Never again.

The coffee, banana bread and light breakfast snacks are all pretty good. Lunch is average and quite pricey. Great location though!

I liked the coffee and soft shell crab burger.
Only one thing I disliked was the annoying flies. They occupied the whole cafe. The flies could touch our foods at any second. And It made me doubt about the hygiene of the cafe

Location is amazing. Have to say the young waitresses were so lovely and patient. Witnessed them dealing with one of the rudest customers I have ever seen with incredible patience. How they kept their cool is beyond me! You have great staff!!!!!

Hustle bustle this popular North Bondi eatery. Food is hearty, large portions. Service is great given its so busy they don't rush things

Poke Bowl at lunch was awful. Too many green leaves of rocket, lettuce which imbalanced the bowl.

My friend had a cheeseburger which they didnt enjoy as it was too sweet.

Regardless, I will revisit for breakfast meals as these are what Speedo s do best.

Food good quality, prices expensive but called for. Staff EXTREMELY rude and unhelpful. Felt rushed and unwanted .

The staff made me feel uncomfortable from the moment I walked in. I was also thrown off by the $8 iced almond decaf which I pay a lot less for in other places. Even the girl who rang the till had to do a double take.

Rude staff who push you to order when given the menu. We ordered tea and juice and was dumped on the table

Ordered eggs and they didn't understand how I wanted my eggs cooked
Expected to sit at narrow table and a single bench seat really tight seating
Didn't like being seated on the footpath next to the rubbish bins.
Staff need to be given customer service training and have an understanding of English.
Will not go back or recommend this cafe

The ambience and vibe of this place is great on a weekend. The deconstructed hot chocolate was AMAZING and a must have! The vegan burger was good, however, it was too big and wasn t saucy enough. The other items on the menu are great, such as the pancakes and the avocado toast. This is an Instagram worthy cafe on Bondi Beach, makes it one of the best brunch spots in Sydney.

Ordered two coffees via the 'Hey You' app - expecting to "beat the queue" - however the barista took, made, and delivered coffees to other take-away customers who had just walked up and placed their order over the counter. It was clear that he was processing walk-up orders ahead of the app orders. When asked about this he was rather rude and unapologetic - blaming the app - when I could clearly see what he was doing.
