I attended a special event here and so I can only review the darker beers I sampled:
** Scarface Imperial Stout (Bourbon Barrel Aged)
** Butchertown Black Ale

Of the two, the Butchertown Black Ale was smoother and had a nice chocolate, nutty flavor.

I liked the dark lighting and vignettes on the wall, with the "sneaky" pair of eyes alluding to "Speakeasy."

The tour was led by a charming beer geek; while it wasn't as great as Boulevard Brewing Company's tour (which is a huge, state of the art facility so I'm not sure it's fair to compare!), it was informative. One of my 6 favorite breweries. If I must go to the bay area, I always have to stop by here. I'm so glad that they were brought back to life.
My favorites, in approximate order:
Pariah
Battle Mage
Speakeasy
Sierra Nevada
Stone
Ninkasi

First time was blown away! Great place for a beer or two. Nice ambiance, there was a live band when I went, great beer options, and parking out front. They have events so check out their events page. I'm getting my Speakeasy hoodie, soon!
