I don't know how to rate. I was broken hearted having to bring the best behaved most beautiful cat to them for adoption. Loved her so much. They found her a home within a week. That's the good part. When I took her there I was without carrier because she didn't need one. She was neutered had all her shots and papers didn't need a carrier. The lady was rude, started treating me like I was hiding something about my cat. I began to get pissed off but remembered she might abuse my cat if she became mad at me so I retreated defensively and I told her again I have her vets name and all papers in my hand. She was still an Ass****. Then she retreated finally. She brings a carrier out that was waaaaay to small. A wire cage if you will. She puts my poor cat in it. She couldn't move. Her hair and body was sticking out from cage and I was asked to do paperwork while she was terrified and pent up in this cage too small for her. I said it's too small and she retorted "Oh she'll be fine". I couldn't focus on pertinent information since my poor Kittie was so uncomfortable. Horrible experience but in the end they found her a home, but when I called to check up on her (almost every day) they said I had relinquished rights and didn't want to tell me a thing. I had to be rather cajoling to get her to tell me she found a home. There was no need to patronize me.

Beautiful facility and animals well taken care of, very clean. Staff is very helpful and pleasant. We have adopted to dogs this year from the SPCA. This is Sadie/Willow she was a puppy mill dog from Ohio. 3 yrs old a cream color golden retriever. She is wonderful, it took awhile for her to come around but she is the most wonderful, loving dogs.

We just adopted our second dog from the SPCA- this time a puppy. The dog has been just as fantastic as our 3 year old dog.

But even though the building is newer, On busy days there are not enough offices to process the paperwork. I know it's to late now but be prepared for delays in leaving with your new pet.

Love coming here to check out the animals but hate that they hound you the volunteers and follow you around and ask you crazy questions I believe if you go there you should be able to look around without them following you everywhere talkin to you if you need help then you can go and ask them !!!

Such a beautiful and clean facility. The animals have space to interact with visitors and to be secluded if they want as well. This place has many different types of animals and they are all taken very good care of. We only went to look for a pup and we left with a cutie pie.

We adopted a puppy mill Pekingese a few years ago. She was so distressed she would scream through the night. We we're very priveledged to take care of her and give her the best four years of her life. We are looking forward to another dog that has a very slight chance of finding a home. LuAnn.

They do not seem to have the Animals best interest at heart plus that incident that happened a few years ago where they were shooting up cats with needles that had air in them to kill them because they didn't want to waste money with the euthanasia medicine. That is very painful for the animal .That still left a bad taste in my mouth but sometimes I do drop off animals there because there's nowhere else to go

It was awful. I told two ladies I wanted a meet n greet with a dog they said I had to go to front desk first to sign in and make an appointment. I did and then went back to get the meet and they gave the dog to another couple. Those people need to get their act together. And God bless the animals because there were only a few dogs there and that is not the only time I have visited them when they really didn't have much.

Very disappointed in how they did nothing to help a stray out that showed up in my yard today. It's extremely thin, you can feel all of it's ribs and the bones in the spine. All they did was scan it for a microchip. They ended up bringing the cat back out to me and she said I could always let it go back outside if I can't get any help from the adoption places they gave me phone numbers for. Really? Let a cat that may not be spade to live outside so it can get pregnant and have kittens outside and help the homeless cat population go up. Very disturbing. Shame on them. Meanwhile I have 2 cats of my own and can't afford medical help for this one. I really feel it needs help but I guess they don't care. I'm praying one of the adoption places calls back but nothing so far. I will say the girl that brought the cat back out was very nice and that's the only reason I'm giving 2 stars otherwise I'd give none.

Wonderful source for dogs, cats, turtles, rabbits that need a loving home. The men and women that volunteer/work here love all the animals dearly and their personalities shine through when you see them interact. We adopted Mya today and could not be happier with her. Plz adopt and make a difference!

Found a wonderful dog to adopt and we did but the workers and some volunteers were very rude. Not enough people there to help you and answer questions. I couldn't wait to get our new dog out of there... the people who work in the store part were very nice and helpful finding a harness that would fit our dog and showing us how to adjust and put it on. The main desk workers could use a lesson in customer service.

Staff are knowledgeable and helpful. Tried very hard to pair my family with the right animal for us. Ultimately we did not find that animal and there was no negative feedback. They are very concerned that animals go with the proper family.

Went in today at approximately 1:46 p.m. to look at a dog that was listed on the website, did not see the dog, so we asked about it, and a volunteer told us that the dog will be out "shortly ". We waited for over an hour, then asked another volunteer about the dog ,she said that they can't find the paperwork. We waited for another 30 minutes, then checked with another person who checked the computer, and said that the dog was in the infirmary, she then went to the infirmary to check, she returned and said that the man who was working on the dog , has the paperwork and took it with him to lunch.. She said that they would get the paperwork as soon as possible. We sat there until 5:00p.m.,then asked another "lady" , I think her name was Cheryl, about what time the dog would becoming up and was told that the dog has medical issues and was then told by another volunteer that the dog would not be available today.

It would have been nice if they knew what was going on, and all the volunteers communicated with each other, as they knew we wanted to see the dog,and let us sit there for 3 HOURS, until I heard them tell someone else that the dog would not be available until tomorrow morning.

Now I know why people say that the S.P.C.A. doesn't care about you,
JUST YOUR MONEY.

I had a great experience at the SPCA. The Staff was very friendly and helpful. Kate explained everything in detail to me. We are fostering to adopt a new Fur baby "Frasier" and we couldn't be happier with our decision to bring this guy home.

Such an impressive facility...clean, clearly separated, ample parking and most importantly the kindest of staff and volunteers. They have a knowledgeable wildlife department to take in injured birds, rabbits, orphaned cottontails, etc. Please donate and support any way you can.

I adopted 2 cats from here in 2002 and 2004 they both lived to be 20+ years old. They have me in the computer, but the 40 questions and the people following you around stalking you is a little much. You're not allowed to interact with the animals unless you tell them you absolutely are wanting to adopt, 100% sure. How are you supposed to know if you want to adopt an animal if you can't interact with them? Do they want people to adopt these animals, because you're treated like a criminal just walking in. I feel Sorry for the animals who need a home because treating people who want to adopt them like they've done something wrong is not the way to attract potential well suited pet parents. We'll go to tabby town.

Love hate relationship with this place some of the people are awsome and some act like they don't want the animals to go to good homes, there website is never up-to-date so unless your visiting every day actively looking to adopt your not going to find a good fit animal. Now my love for this place is becouse I did find a new forever friend but I had so much trouble during the process, having one women tell me that the dog was not going to be a good fit (this was after a meet and greet my second time with the dog) and then in the end have to foster before adopt, a ton of issues but all worth the struggle to add my dog to my family. In recap I would say worth it but watch who you talk to some of the volunteers are rude.

I support the people who honestly work & volunteer for the SPCA but I feel its ran by corporate scum bags. GO THERE WITHOUT NEWS CAMERAS & take a wounded dog there and it's not their problem they'll tell you to take it to a shelter. They just want donations & attention. They spend more on propaganda & commercials than they do on the animals they supposed to help. They didn't need to move they had large piece of land & building at the original location. They just wanted a new building in a trendier spot.I wouldn't trust them to cremate your animal ether!!!!They cremate bunch of animals together you won't get your ashes back.PLEASE look up Pine Rest pet cemetery they treated my family and dog with respect!! They provide cremations and memorial services.I don't mean to disrespect the people who honestly volunteer their time to the SPCA but I feel there is a shady side of this organization that the public doesn't see.

My boyfriend and I went to figure out if one of the puppies bonded with us. We asked the lady if we could interact with the dogs she said " You can go in as long as there is no sign on the door."
I went into the first kennel and had no problem. As I was on my way out of the second kennel I was greated with loud and unnecessary screaming about how you CAN NOT GO IN AND HAVE ANY INTERACTION WITH THE PUPPIES!

YOU HAVE A CROWDED FACILITY, AND YES IT IS CLEAN BUT YOU NEED TO HAVE THE RULES POSTED THROUGHOUT YOUR FACILITY! This small thing could make your facility much better.
THERE ARE DIFFERENT RULES FOR DIFFERENT PEOPLE!

WE WERE YELLED AT AND CHASED OUT BY 2 OBNOXIOUS LADIES! (IF YOU CAN CALL THEM THAT!) One of the ladies was white and had grayish hair and a very thin upper lip, the other was black, a little younger, had a purple shirt on and spoke with a heavy accent; THE POINT IS STAY AWAY FROM THESE 2 "PEOPLE" AT ALL COSTS!

BETTER YET FIND SOMEPLACE ELSE TO ADOPT!

Very clean facility, friendly staff and volunteers. I went to donate a dog bed and ended up leaving with a new pet hamster. I loved seeing all the small critters the SPCA has for adoption, and I feel that alot of people don't realize they have more then just cats and dogs!! And most of the small critters are rescues too, either found abandoned or turned in by owner.

First time in the new place. Thought the walls needed some color. I'm looking for a ShihTzu and I looked at all the dogs. Sm. Choice and the cash they want for this dogs is mind blowing. I thought cats where high. I have adopted over 7 cats and never paid the cost of a dog. I know breeders are total crazy on prices. But adoption for a dog $350 what do pups go for? So for me it was a disappointing.

Came in the other day looking at some of the animals up for adoption. I am very impressed with this establishment and how they treat the animals that are currently staying there. The rooms are large and clean. If adopting i do recommend giving this place a look.

It was my first time in years visiting. I had to put my 14 yr old dog to sleep. I won't go into details because I don't want to get staff in trouble. But they relaxed a rule for me and my Stella, which made all the difference in saying goodbye. The staff was very accommodating & very sympathetic to my last request. I want to thank her a 1000+ times.
