They staff at this office and other facilities do an outstanding job, this organization plays a major role in our community. The services that are available to women as well as families are critically needed for the growth of our society. Nice to assist women in need. Sadly some people not taking ownership of their behavior harms women and kids
Where I found emdr! No therapy seemed to work for me until I found this place. The counselors and workers create a safe, warm environment and I feel so lucky to have found them when I needed to.

I would rate no stars if i could; 1 star too good for this society. Please give your volunteer time and money to any other organization but this one. Unprofessional staff who display favourtism to some clients including SOWINS secretly giving one client $2000 to purchase new furniture, while ignoring another client who requested SOWINS's housing mgr's help when she ran out of food abd was told by another SOWINS's client they gave her grocery gifts cards the month before. The housing coord. ignored the client'srequest for help to grt food for her child and her. Shady and so lacking in services for victims they brag about serving, not to mention the shortage of transition house workers and counsellors because of staff burnout. The Salvation Army is a much better choice as the $ goes to the people who need it, and not to the fat paycheques of SOWINS's executive director and housing coordinator. Ndp hacks too
