A Prestigious Institute were men and women of God are equipped for Gods Work...
College surrounded by Helpful people, peaceful and Calm Environment. Honored to be part of this Institution. Best place to be staff and Professors are Just Amazing.
The "Dr's" of this college got ripped to pieces by Israelites in a biblical debate...
We love going to SWBTS. We have had some of the best professors here and have been challenged in some of our theological thinking.
Watch this video regarding this seminary. Do your research.
Watch this YouTube video : It is the Sheila Zilinsky video, FLAT Earth & NASA Lies- What Does The BIBLE Say.
It has info about what a Dr. Larry Lee was taught there.
That Genesis was a myth, Adam and Eve myth and the reason Yahushua did not speak about all of this was because this is because " He did not have enough good information ".
This kind of teaching is anti Christ.
If not teaching strictly from the Word, Yahushua Ha Messiach made flesh then it is teaching of helel hasatan the enemy.
Teach scripture not pagan Tradition.
And the explanation of most seminaries regarding Bereshyith 6 is completely fraudulent. You do not need another man's interpretation of scripture. Just seek Elohim's true discernment and pray for wisdom and he will provide her to you. Amein.
Paige Patterson? Retired before his prime. Fire yourselves, or stand up and make a man.
As one of the best equipping grounds for ministers in the world, I am convinced that I have learned not only book knowledge but also strong foundations in God's Word and applied ministry of evangelism and missions.
Great place to learn and experience true friendship
Worst search engine I've ever seen, worst access to periodicals I've ever seen, and DEFINITELY the worst hours I've ever seen. Computers will crash, if they work at all, deleting your whole research paper.
I attend an orientation here, the faculty are extremely friendly, willing to answer every question.
To the Executive Board: My time at SWBTS and Dr Huber Drumwright was life changing. Paige Patterson's remarks are only 1/2 of the story. I suggest that the Board check the source of the bitterness, and sharp criticism that followed a good man for 15 years, and finally took him down. More than Page Patterson needs to go find Christ in a new way, and deal with their part in this disaster of Church Discipline. To all men, especially those in ministry, it is a new day in our culture. There are Delilia's out there that are anxious to say as they did about Weinstein, "We got you Harvey". The fruits of the Spirit have taken 2nd place to the idea of Justice, and revenge at any cost. Sin is permitted by our Father to allow the Spirit "IN" us (John 14) to develop righteousness. Learning from our mistakes and becoming more like Christ is my hope for the outcome on all sides in this tragic display of the lack of Christ in You. That is my earnest prayer for the Board of SWBTS and you who are reading this post.
Want to graduate in two years, but be forced to take 65+ hours for a masters degree that will actually take 4-5 years to get? Go to SWBTS.
Want the president of the seminary call out your beliefs and tell you to leave the school and your denomination? Go to SWBTS.
Want to be forced to wear pants every day IN TEXAS? Go to SWBTS.
This place not only equips you with for future ministries but also equips you be a better person.
Great school to learn conservative Baptist theology and very friendly, godly people. Highly recommended
I had the most awful and humiliating experience at this school as an International Student. I felt discriminated against in the music school office, registrar's office and financial office back in 2014. Once trying to drop a class in the music school office, the secretary mockingly said "I don't understand what you are saying, the secretary who speaks Spanish will be here in the afternoon". She kept on typing and did not even look at me. By the way, my BA was from an American school and spoke to her in English. The International Student's office said I could not work at a church as a music minister, even though the job I had been offered was a music minister position. I checked with a lawyer later and he said I could have lawfully accepted the position, as my F1 visa allowed me to work outside the school as long as the position was tied to my major. The "welcome" session held by the International Student's office was a list of things were "not allowed" to do and all the time they were saying we would be deported. I never felt un-welcomed, mistreated, and humiliated all my life. God worked out a way for me to transfer to a school in Massachusetts and the story was much more positive. I do NOT recommend the SBTS if you are a Latino/Hispanic international student.
Southwestern is a wonderful seminary! The best part of the school is it's people. Although I did my master's at Southern and a D.Min. at Southwestern, I find that the missionary spirit and high academic standards at Southwestern are more than adequate for anyone preparing for a life of service to God and His church. I would suggest shepherding groups or mentoring programs to be better organized, but the proclamation of God's Word and outreach to the world are super important. Thank you Southwestern!
THESE PEOPLE ARE THE WORST NEIGHBORS YOU COULD EVER IMAGINE HAVING!! I live on the same street as some of their student housing and they race up and down the street with no regard whatsoever for children or animals. I have seen them kill animals because they won't slow down and have had several near misses with them almost hitting me as I'm trying to back out of my driveway. They act as though they are the owners of this area and have their noses up in the air. As a christian, I am VERY DISAPPOINTED in these people. They are supposed to be Christians showing Christ to the world, but they are not doing a good job of that when their attitudes are worse than those who are not Christians. My husband pulled over to the side of the road (PUBLIC STREET WHERE WE LIVE!!) to answer his cell phone and their little want to be cops showed up within minutes, not just 1 but 3 vehicles to tell him that he could not be in THEIR AREA. One of them even insinuated that she had a weapon, ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?! VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THIS SCHOOL AND ASHAMED OF THE PEOPLE THERE!!
