Southwest health system Review

L&D department operates very well as compared to other hospitals we've been. Totally would recommend Southwest as a place to have a kid.

Covid 19 everywhere & one of their ambulances pull up at the convenience store & both employees get out, walk in the store, touching things, no masks, no gloves. Really? NO MASKS! Your employees are a danger to society. I wouldn t let them touch me in an emergency.

The Southwest Health Care System (in Montezuma County, CO) is quite-bad (indeed). They are very-poor with their communications - and, the "quality of care" is subpar. I am going to get another doctor, with a reputable health care system - in Durango, CO.

I must start by saying I have had a good experience in another part of this hospital. But, wow. The care in the ER makes my jaw drop. Not much sympathy towards family members, who can t see loved ones in there due to covid. Not to mention, the care to patients (my family member). There was one guy that is clearly there just to collect a paycheck. WRONG profession to be in; he was an unprofessional, rude, power hungry, bigger older fellow, on an ego trip. He should be ASHAMED of himself and the way he treats the patients. I m sure this wasn t the first experience like this, this guy SHOULD NOT be working in the field of CARE. Patients need to be treated as HUMANS with DIGNITY. Clearly, these reviews tell it all about this place.

I'm filing a complaint and possibly a lawsuit against this hospital. I had an ATV wreck a few days ago and broke my ribs and my collarbone. I was xrayed medicated and sent home to follow up with orthopedic surgeon Brandon Jones. He operated on my clavicle placing a plate and screws. I filled the prescription before the anesthesia block wore off and in the middle of the night when the feeling came back I knew that the pain meds weren't working. I called the orthopedic and Jill spoke with dr jones and they concluded that I should take double the dose 2 pills every 4 hours. So I did. When I had 6 doses left I started calling to get a refill like jill told me to and no one answered the phone all afternoon. So I called the hospital like the discharge paperwork said. Georgia at the front desk called dr jones and left him my number. He never called. I called the hospital back 2 hours later and stevie was working the front desk. He called dr medina's who was the doctor on staff and they said I needed to come down to the e.r. to get evaluated and they would take care of me until dr. Jones office was open on monday. Well they didnt. I was seen by dr Lovett and she tried to make me feel like I was some kind of druggie. She insinuated I was only there for narcotics.... I showed her I still have 4 doses of two pills left that could make it till morning.. but what then? I literally had surgery 2 days ago and cant get a refill when my doctor and nurse had me double up.... I've never been so insulted in my life. Dr Lovett, myself and my children 2 and 3 yes would much rather have been in bed.. had it not been for the direction of your on call doctor I would have never even met you. Regardless my medication runs out in 3 more doses.... and Cortez hospital didnt do anything but waste my time money and energy. I WILL BE FILING A FORMAL complaint and more. I will be advising my insurance to refuse payment to your facility as you dont deserve payment since my problem wasnt resolved.

EXCELLENT CARE! I had two recent experiences at Southwest Memorial Hospital and greatly appreciate the wonderful care I was given by the doctors, nurses, and other staff. 1) I had to go to the ER because I d run my finger through my sewing machine (major ouch!). The needle had broken off and was imbedded in my finger. Thank you to Dr. Asche for doing a superb job extricating the needle and stitching up the wound! 2) I went in for foot surgery for the removal of a debilitating neuroma. Thank you to Dr. Carelock for the successful surgery. I am happy to report that healing from both of these incidents is going well. I would not hesitate to recommend Southwest Memorial Hospital to others.

My husband and I were on vacation when he got ill. We went to the ER and he was diagnosed and released in a little over an hour. Thanks to the doctor's diagnosis and the friendly staff, we were able to continue our vacation. Thank you, you guys were awesome!

I m pretty sure that this review never get reviewed, but here it goes. I moved to the Cortez area in mid-2017 and hoped to transfer my health care to Southwest Health System here on Mildred next to the hospital. I was assigned to Dr. Churchill. I have never met a Dr. so out of touch with the world, nor have I ever been treated so poorly by somebody that happily accepts my money and my insurance. Best insurance that anyone offers nowadays. When I mentioned that I would like a different doctor, I was told by the heavyset, and rude front desk receptionist we don t transfer patients . So, I was told for the most part that I was stuck with an out of date doctor, and that all I could do is find a new one outside of their weird circle. Now this is a facility with several different doctors, With a myriad of helpful experience. If you have a choice please find a practice outside of Southwest Health System! It s for your own good!

Don't go here. ER 2xs same day different diagnosis both times neither right then had me come back for a $600 ultrasound that came up clean. Cleaned me out is what they did and I feel less secure about my condition going somewhere else for a fourth opinion thanks I love throwing thousands of dollars around NOT to feel better. Did I mention I had to call 3 times for my ultrasound results that thru were supposed to call me for? I would recommend this hospital to people you would like to see die.

ER staff were caring and friendly. I w as treated very well. Two days later i was back for ourpatient surgery that ended up requiring me to spend the night. Everyone at Southwest took excellent care of me. Thak you for your graciousness.
