We joined the Southcoast autism center 4 years ago. The wonderful staff there changed our lives. They are compassionate and experts in their field. We have consistent, compassionate and individualized support for our family and we have have had the pleasure of seeing our daughter grow in leaps and bounds in a fully supportive and nurturing environment! We started off with another company and received home based services for my son. While the workers were amazing people, the home based approached lacked several key attributes.
Luckily and by accident we found The Southcoast Autism Center. Our son is in The Foundations Program.Their approach, which takes place in a school like setting, values teaching communication. Having a clinical team and administration onsite has had immeasurable benefits.
The center based approach has been a wonderful experience for my son and my family. They provide a supportive environment and the staff has been a blessing.
More programs should follow this model.
I started working at SCAC just over 3 years ago. I started out as a direct therapist and have since transitioned into a supervisor. We have some amazing therapist who are invested in our clients progress. They show up with new and inventive ideas to help enrich the therapy sessions. The atmosphere is open and inviting. Everyone does an amazing job supporting each other and jumping in to help regardless of what the task is. I have worked for several companies that provide ABA services in the home and school environment but have found a disconnect with staff and not support. At SCAC, I have been supported during my transition from direct therapist to supervisor. I have also felt supported as I develop and grow as a supervisor. I have recently transitioned back from maternity leave. The company has made the transition for me as smooth as it possibly could have been even with COVID -19. One of the best companies to work for.
My son was going to Middleboro Public Schools and he wasn't getting the help that he really needed. We got referred to SouthCoast Autism Center and it was nothing but a blessing! My son is doing so much better & the staff is loving and incredible. My son is so lucky to be helped by such amazing staff. We love South Coast Autism Center
