South Heights Baptist Church, Sapulpa, OK Review

Last week, November 5, 2017, I had the good fortune of visiting South Heights Baptist Church and bro. Todd White. Bro. White and I were friends and classmates at the University of Arkansas, where we were members of the Arkansas Marching Band. I have known bro. White for almost 40 years. I now live near Tampa Florida, and was able to see him and his wife again while in the area. When I visited the church I met some wonderful people who had a genuine love for God's word. I had never met any of them before, but they were all very friendly and hospitable. I felt very welcome and safe there. None of them knew I had known their pastor for years. Yet it was clear to me that they love him very much.
The worship service at South Heights reminded me of the way we all used to worship, using the great hymns and preaching from the King James Bible, still my favorite version! Todd White preached straight out of God's word verse by verse. Theologians call that "expository" preaching. All I know is that I like it. If you like worship the way we used to do it in America, this place is for you.
On a personal note, I was very alarmed when I read the review of another visitor. I can only assume she is confused with another church experience, because bro. Todd White would never treat anybody in an unloving way. Bro. White is one of the kindest and most caring individuals I have ever known, and will always go the extra mile for his people. Sadly we live in a day of social media and internet blogging. Too often we read postings worded in ways people would never speak in public. Bro. White is a good man pastoring good people in a good church. I cannot in any way picture him as the one review described. I would recommend anyone reading this to visit South Heights Baptist Church and see for yourself. You will be blessed!

I have attended this church on a few different occasions. Every member of the congregation welcomed me every time and made me feel welcome. The pastor preached from the bible, was very welcoming. I really enjoy each time I visit this church.

The members of South Heights are the friendliest group I have ever met and really care about each other. I am pretty particular on what is delivered from the pulpit. I found that the pastor, Todd White, teaches and preaches solely from the KJV Bible and is very good at relating the teachings to our daily lives. It is also a plus that we sing from the hymnal, as that is the music I prefer. I am blessed to have found, been guided to, this church family.

I have recently started going back to Church and i prayed for a place to worship and found South Heights Baptist Church. The Church members are few and they are so kind and have Welcomed me with love and compassion. The preacher deliver a sermon right out of the KJV Bible and explain it in a way that i Can understand.we sing song and we listen to the words of God. This is our go-to church whenever we visit the Tulsa area. The preaching is solid! Pastor White does an amazing job of explaining the Bible where even the youngest can understand. I love how he involves the children whenever possible. If you are in the area, whether on vacation or moving here, I would suggest this church!

I have been a member of South Heights Baptist church for eight years. The pastor teaches straight from the King James bible and, more than anyone I know in this fallen world, is closer to being a living example of what the bible teaches. I am blessed by all the loving people who attend this small church and am proud to be in the family of God among them.
