Awesome experience thank you thank you thank you!!! My mother was brought in per ambulance on 7/24/21 she is 87 years old. She went septic from a Urinating tract infection. If it wasn t for the passionate nursing staff and ER physician she would not have made it. ( The nurses where literally running) Once admitted to the ICU she had another bunch of awesome nurses. I d like to thank Margaret in ICU for love and compassion she gave to my mother while there. My family is grateful for the care that was given while there. My mom is still recovering, it will be a slow process. Thank you all for all that you do!!
I am someone who has seen their share of hospitals, so when I have a good experience I like to make it known. My most recent and only visit at SBH was as much of a pleasure as I have ever had at a hospital. The staff and Dr s were amazing and true real life hero s! I cannot thank them enough for taking such amazing care of me! The experience was not bad as normal because this staff cares!!!! Please take time to thank your health care workers! They are truly amazing!
Although the people working the line outside were nice, the whole setup is not very professional. It took my boyfriend and I two and a half hours to get a covid test. There seems to be no protocol and therefore patient care is lacking. We were told we would receive a phone call the following day from Foley hospital to set up an IV infusion but they only called my boyfriend. I m a little confused as to how they could forget about me as our paperwork was together and I was told I would receive a call for an appointment. My boyfriend went to his appointment and asked why they didn t call me and the lady said they were not given my name and I would have to call and ask for them to send it. Really? There mistake so they should give good patient care and fix the problem. Once I get my referral I do not plan on going back to this urgent care and I will be telling all my friends and family how ridiculously unprofessional this urgent care is. No one should have to be this sick and treated this poorly. What happened to people caring about their actions? I bet if it was there sister/mother/aunt they would have done what was needed.
I went to the Emergency room Friday 9/17/21, I had a very bad sore throat , I explain to the doctor that this issue was going on for about a week. The doctor told me to buy some stuff over the counter, then he said let us give you a Covid Test, I didn t wait I left, later Went to Thomas Hospital in Fairhope to find out I had Strep Throat and a Sinus infection!!!
Can not say enough good things about South Baldwin hospital and the staff. I had covid and was there for 8 days. The care was superb. Those are the most caring people I have ever known. What a team of great people!
Dr. Wilson is absolutely amazing. As a nurse myself, I have never, ever known a better doctor. She went above and beyond for me and the delivery of my baby boy. As for the nursing staff in L&D, baby nurse Ms. Paula is absolutely terrific, you can definitely tell she loves the babies and working as a baby nurse is her passion; there are also not enough wonderful things I can say about her. As my postpartum nurse, Candace was awesome and extremely helpful. She took care of me but also my baby when I needed extra help in the middle of the night. So thankful for all of the staff and experience I had there.
Everyone was great, the experience was wonderful except the food. I have been in that hospital several times and have always bragged about the food but not anymore. There was about half as much food on the tray compared to the previous time was was there. And no bacon for breakfast even though it s on the menu in the room. I was very disappointed as you see The final straw was the chicken pot pie. It was the same chicken from the night with gravy on top. I was really looking forward to that. And again, everyone was great.
March 4th, I went in to have my daughter. The nurses were ALL caring. Mrs. Lisa was my labor nurse, and I couldn t have been happier with the way she treated my husband and I. She definitely went above and beyond. After my daughter was born, Mrs. Paula was her nurse. Very gentle and caring. You can tell she was born to be a pediatric nurse. The staff went well over my expectations. This hospital is definitely an upgrade compared to the end of 2017 when I had my first born.
