This conference centre is stunning. it's hidden. Its well managed by Tsebo. The security was pleasant and professional. The facility has beautiful architecture and is very clean and well maintained. The conference hall is stunning. The canteen requires a once over but it's a work in progress. Claire the lady with which I dealt with was pleasant and professional.

The South African sugar industry provides employment in job starved regions often in deep rural areas where there is little other economic activity or employment opportunity.

The industry provides education and training, contributes to excellence in research, science and technology, supporting enterprises, and ensuring the sustainable use of natural resources. Opportunities for this industry to contribute further to South Africa lie ahead and include renewable energy.

About South African Sugar Association

The South African Sugar Association (SASA) is a non-profit organization that was established in 1929. The association's primary objective is to promote the sustainability of the South African sugar industry, which is a significant source of livelihood for many people in the country. SASA represents sugarcane growers, millers, and refiners across South Africa.

The sugar industry plays a vital role in the economy of South Africa. It provides employment opportunities for thousands of people and contributes significantly to the country's GDP. The industry also supports various downstream industries such as transport, packaging, and logistics.

SASA works closely with its members to ensure that they adhere to sustainable farming practices that protect the environment while maintaining high-quality sugarcane production. The association also promotes research and development initiatives aimed at improving productivity and efficiency within the industry.

One of SASA's key focus areas is promoting social responsibility within the sugar industry. This involves working with stakeholders to address issues such as poverty alleviation, education, healthcare, and community development. Through its social responsibility programs, SASA aims to improve living standards for communities living near sugarcane farms or mills.

In addition to promoting sustainability within the sugar industry, SASA also plays an important role in advocating for policies that support its members' interests. The association engages with government bodies on issues such as trade agreements, tariffs, and regulations affecting the sugar sector.

SASA has a strong commitment to transparency and accountability in all its operations. The association regularly publishes reports on its activities and financial performance on its website for public scrutiny.

Overall, SASA's work has contributed significantly towards ensuring that South Africa's sugar industry remains sustainable while providing economic opportunities for thousands of people across different regions of the country. With continued support from stakeholders both locally and internationally through partnerships or collaborations with other organizations or institutions globally focused on similar objectives like theirs; it will continue making strides towards achieving their goals while remaining relevant amidst changing times!
