I've been here for Cannabis events and now to vist Mr Mori, a Shiatsu Master who has an office there. From the Valet to the Front Desk, this place is always polite, concerned and professional. The building itself is a historic gem.

My stay at Hotel Sorrento was very pleasant. I particularly appreciated the prompt and friendly service of the valet, Chris. My room was clean and spacious, and upon my request, ready a few hours before check-in. I expect to stay again as opportunity allows.

This historic hotel is beautiful! The hard wood walls feel so classy and the grand piano in the lobby was a delightful touch. The service is top notch from the valet top three door man to the front desk worker. The room had a great view and the house robs are very warm and cozy. Live music and wine social in the bar are fantastic. From the hotel we were able to walk to lots of bars and restaurants which was fantastic. Highly recommended this hotel.

Beautiful room, comfortable bed and gorgeous architecture. Staff was kind and helpful.
We stayed for the history, and were enamored by how well hotel management made the stay comfortable and high end without detracting from the boutique nature of the building.
(Also the current key cards are SUPER COOL!)

Nice boutiqe hotel. Large living space with a living room, bedroom, and large bathroom with marble everywhere. The desk was also nice and big to do work. However, it has a creepy feel and was told that this is the most haunted place in Seattle. No ghosts in my room so overall good experience!

The staff care about you, and you can easily tell. Our A/C unit broke towards the end of our stay, and the manager took 20% off our final bill. Even though it was a minor inconvenience, you can tell they care about their customers.

Everyone was extremely friendly and the room was spotless.

I received a accessible room for no reason and it did not have the bathtub advertised. The toilet ran all night with no one to quickly fix it -it kept me up so I finally dig into the tank and fixed it myself. Several items in the room were broken-including the French press water system which was cracked and wouldn t heat up.
I had a short visit and honestly did not have time for all of the inconveniences. When I alerted the desk and emailed the hotel-the staff told me that the repair person would have fixed the toilet since it happens often and if a quick fix. But it took hours of waiting and I needed to sleep. Also when I emailed the hotel-no one responded back to me.
It was extremely disappointed and it cost so much for not even being able to sleep.

We have traveled to Seattle for medical appointments for many years. This was our first stay at Hotel Sorrento. We stayed in a Junior Suite and were offered a medical discount. Our room was located above the hotel entry, so we didn't have much of a view, but the room was spacious and very comfortable. The linens were of fine quality with pillows in a variety of types and thicknesses.
There is a French press coffee bar in the room in addition to complimentary coffee near the front desk. I enjoyed the Sorrento's hosted wine selections in the Fireside Room during happy hour.
We often dine at The Dunbar Room while doctoring nearby. As always, the waiters were knowledgeable and friendly. They serve the best grilled cheese and tomato soup I have EVER eaten (although I still miss the individual soup tourines they once served it in). I ordered room service on Saturday morning. My Smoked Salmon Omelet was heavenly and was delivered to my room in less than 20 minutes.
Hotel Sorrento is one of the oldest hotels in Seattle. It has been well maintained, but it is not new construction. The floors creek in a charming way and you'll probably wait for the elevator. Use this time to say hello to another guest, enjoy the beautiful decor, and savor the moment.

Great hotel. Good location to things in the city. Expect noise from the city to leak into the rooms. Also, the HVAC units do not get the rooms very cold. If you need a cold room this is not the place for you. Otherwise, enjoyed my stay for the Seahawks game and the staff is incredibly nice!

Beautiful lobby, great service, rooms are small but well appointed. French press is too small for two people. AC is out of service, no extra room fans. Nice place convenient to lots of great downtown stuff.

Hotel Sorrento was a lovely hotel to stay on! We decided to extend our stay a second night and it was not clear to us the rate almost doubled! Getting our invoice was a little unpleasant, but overall great folks working there and super conveniently located near the hospital.

Had a great time. Elevator was a little slow, but it's an older building and that is to be expected. Free wine tasting in the bar downstairs and lovely patio. They made our dogs feel extra welcome!

To be clear, I haven't yet stayed at the Sorrento... I have definitely ate and drank at both the Dunbar Room and the Fireside Room and can speak to the quality of the food, the cocktails and the service. By far, if you're looking for a great local experience at a classic Seattle hotel, this is the place. The wood paneled setting is nice on a cold night. The service is great. Very attentive... I'm a huge advocate for having a holiday in your hometown. My experiences at Hotel Sorrento definitely will bring me back for a weekend stay sometime.

Wonderful hotel in First Hill, not far from downtown. The location was just what we needed. Staff was amazing to work with and answer our questions. The property is just beautiful and so historic. They keep most of the original design and have done a wonderful job with the historical preservation. The furnishings keep the early 1900s decor while being in good shape. They have a common area with a large fireplace in the lobby area, and a bar and restaurant next door. Highly recommend.

My husband Steve and I wanted to return to the Sorrento Hotel on our 25th Wedding Anniversary. I phoned to make a reservation. The person at the desk was cheery and very helpful. I mentioned that we preferred to stay only the night of our 25th Anniversary, and related to her a few of the memories I held of our wedding night at their hotel. The Sorrento Hotel is a beautiful Grand Hotel in the fashion of very high-class with prestiage famous for its ambience and superb service.
The clerk explained choices of rooms, costs, and bed preferences. Clearly outlining the options available to us. With her help, I placed our reservation for April 30th. Our arrival was planned for after dinner at Canlis where we were the first wedding service and catered party conducted in that famous restaurant.
Upon arrival at the Sorrento Hotel, we checked in at the desk. The delightful clerk on duty, Jackie, was both attentive and mysterious about our reservation. She checked us in, handed us our keys, and asked the bellman to assist us with luggage and then parked our car.
Jackie hinted at surprises in our accommodations and the room. She was cheerful and such a pleasure to work with that I felt immediately special. My spirits were higher after her welcome.
The Sorrento Hotel lived up to its reputation. Every hospitality memento, gift, comfort in the expansive suite was beyond our expectations.
We visited the bar near the front desk for a nightcap before tucking into our incredible evening. So, of course, I stopped by to thank Jackie for the extraordinary accommodations and gifts extended to us for our special anniversary. She was gracious and kind again.
I must say THANK YOU to the Sorrento Hotel Manager and Staff for extending the welcome, thoughtfulness, and warmth for us.
We have travelled the world, and can easily say This was the absolutely best treatment we have experienced from any hotel.
Thank you, Thank you.
These memories are still bringing warmth and tears of appreciation.

She s a grand dame of a bygone era and a delight in every way. The staff is delightful and attentive, the rooms quirky and charming, and the overall experience priceless. If you want a perfectly modern room, find a chain; if you want a perfect experience, book your reservation here.

Beautiful, comfortable, friendly! Old age charm. The only compliant would be on the strychnine side of the hotel it's a little noisy. The staff is excellent, the wait staff if first class and very helpful.

You should stay here just for the elevator. The food is decent. The bar is wonderful. The rooms are classic. Great valets. I m not afraid of the bed clothes so I can sleep comfortably. The remotes don t scare me either. Cleanliness is very very good.

I have always wanted to experience the Sorento s Fireside Room. I stopped by with a girlfriend yesterday after work and was in aw how beautiful the decor and architecture was. I was not impressed one bit with the service. The young man at the door and the gal at the desk were very warm and welcoming. The young man who was the server finally took my order after 15 minutes of watching him walk around an mostly empty room. Perhaps he was busy somewhere else?? Fast forward 20 minutes girlfriend arrives, room starts to fill up during happy hour and 40 minutes later he stops by after ignoring my eye contact to come over and asks her drink order. We never ordered any food because he never came back. Another young man served our white wine. Disappointed with the experience. Looking forward to returning and experiencing the wonderful service the Sorrento is known for.

Went for holiday tea. Great ambiance, Christmas-y without being over the top, fireplace crackling and all. Food itself was okay, scones a bit dry and hard. Croissants would have been a lot better warm. Bread a little dry on the finger sandwiches. The service was excellent.

Service is superb. Rooms, expectedly, are a bit dark and worn as this is a very old hotel. That said, everything is top shelf and spotless. It's quite elegant. However, the food is mediocre. I'm hoping the new food and beverage manager will bring it up to expectations for this fi e old place.

My significant other and other and I had a wonderful experience at Hotel Sorrento. Location: Good. We walked to all the places we were interested in going and they were all less than a mile away. Room: Wonderful. Very spacious and clean. Lots of pillows on the bed, and the bathrobes were comfy and luxurious. The shower was a rain shower, so that was also very nice. Service: Could not have been better. From the front desk to the valet to the wait staff in the Dunbar Room, everyone at Hotel Sorrento was extremely accommodating and made us feel cared. Also, if you want to get romantic with some rose petals on the bed, just ask and the concierge will take care of it for you. It's a bit pricey but well worth it. You will not be disappointed. I highly recommend this hotel, especially for couples.
