Solid Landings, also known as SureHaven......what can i say about them??? Anyone looking to get cleaned you have my kudos for that, but if you are looking for a place to heal and become whole again, I would keep looking. If you want peace of mind and want to channel all of you energy into healing and don't want to worry about petty issues or making sure the staff was well organized and up to date with their surroundings (especially when it comes to your medication) this is NOT the place for you. I was in their facility for almost 2 months, and everything that they advertise is pretty much a big lie. They have no experienced staff, while in the program I saw medications misplaced and clients waiting around for them some even having reactions to lack of meds (some even needed medical attention but due to them only having one nurse (between all facilities) they would even have to sit around until meds were found or another client actually having to call 911. The therapy they provide is by a therapist (but not an experienced one at that). After one session with their EMDR therapist I ended up in the emergency room having to be sedated due to the therapist not able to completely pull me mentally out of a session and my body went into almost like convulsions and shakes. The first 3 weeks of treatment we sat in a garage for 12 hours, sitting on an old couch that you were able to feel the coils with the only breaks you got was for lunch, dinner and smoking breaks (and if you don't smoke you can forget about being outside unless you don't mind the smoke). The program is very unorganized, they have no curriculum in place so you pretty much get the same lesson but with a different facilitator. It is very redugdant , repetative and boring. They advertise that they specialize in Smart Recovery, but if you were to ask any of the facilitators what that meant they would look at you like you were talking in a different language and ask you what that was. Towards the end of my time there we were actually taking lessons to introductions to SmartRecovery along with the staff. We were considered guinea pigs of this program, it was a joke. As far as outings, they consisted of going to Barnes and Nobles, an outing to the beach, or volunteering to pick up trash. Another thing that bothered me was the fact that if were to become sick you could either go to CareNow (or something similar, out of pocket costs to you because they do not have a Dr on call) and you lose all benefits, from phone to outings. In my time there I saw many clients frustrated for lack of feeling helped, to seeing them cry themselves to sleep to them leaving the facility and using again. Cries for helped went ignored. I reached out to the Programs Coordinator and the Ceo/Owner (Steve Fennelly) of the company and I was assured that the issues would be looked into and resolved as well as other options for further assistance would be offered to me (but like everything else, false promises). Getting sober is a very crucial and important part of your life (something you only want to do once with lasting results). Do your due diligence before settling in this facility. The best of luck in this great journey. Stay sober my friends!!
