Attended for a friend's wedding and have to say that the place was amazing! The setting is idealic. The staff are friendly and couldn't do enough to help with any enquiry, no matter how small. The food is delicious and the beds incredibly comfy. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Solberge Hall!
Just got back home having spent Friday & Saturday at this very pleasant & friendly hotel. Me & my wife got a warm welcome at reception when we arrived & were shown the key areas of the hotel along with directions to our room. Or room was spacious, warm, clean had a bathroom with bath, shower & loo. The bed was comfortable & there was a flat screen wall mounted TV if required. There was the usual tea & coffee facility along with a note advising fresh milk is available, just phone reception. Downstairs was a good size lounge & bar which was warm & inviting, the staff were very helpful. The food was very good quantity & value for money. The hotel is located well for visits to many walks in the Herriott countryside along with interesting towns & villages. I would highly recommend this hotel for a very relaxing stay in the impressive Yorkshire countryside.

The hotel stay is a present from our children - and we have to say so far it has been excellent - staff amazingly courteous - the food has been 5 star. The room is very clean and more than adequate - so restful, although we are staying a second night we feel the early praise is so well deserved. Definitely returning in the summer. Well deserved praise.

Been twice and enjoyed both times, nice quiet country hotel, nice rooms and great food. Staff great and helpful and the views and grounds are stunning, can't understand why a hedge is planted in front of the bar area and dining room. It looks a little tired in places and could go with a lick of paint but all in all a lovely place to have a break.

Hotel rooms were spacious and roomy, all amenities were good. The food was tepid and not to a great standard, when the Yorkshire breakfast arrived it was Luke warm and the mushrooms were really cold. Food lets down what could be an amazing package.

Enjoyed a short break here and stayed in a quirky but rather lovely room. Great en-suite and a room vita a lovely view. Food was excellent and all the staff were very friendly. Good parking although at one time it was quite busy with a wedding / reception although it did not have any effect on our stay. Lovely old house and beautiful driveway leading off a local country road. Would like to stay again some time so keeping an eye out for deals!

Wedding planner poor forgot to add gifts to table never ordered fireworks building looks good on outside but bed rooms very tired bar service very slow we had a very long que to bar then they but the buffet next to the bar

We did have a excellent wedding day but to was more inspite of Solburgh Hall than anything
They even managed to running out of starters at the wedding breakfast

Visited Silver Hall as a guest at a wedding. It's in a fairly remote location set back from a country road. The grounds were very nice and looked well kept. There is on site parking however it's a little limited and could probably do with some more spaces. Inside the building looked nice with its period features and they had a more than ample sized room designed for weddings and functions. Bar prices are reasonable and service was good.
A fantastic place for a meal or a hotel stay. I have never met more accommodating employees both for breakfast and evening meals. The rooms are large and there is good internet access.
Whenever I am a in the area it is my first choice of where I would like to stay.

Adaquate Christmas party. However we were the only group attending so it lacked atmosphere. The food was OK but not plentiful.
Celebrated our Son and beautiful Daughter-in-law's wedding at this wonderful venue. The wedding planner had everything running to perfection and the staff were very attentive, friendly and helpful. Special mention should be made of the young waiter/barman Chris for whom nothing was too much trouble.
The building and rooms are amazing, don't waste you time or money in the restaurant, I had a salmon salad starter, the salad was just afew mixed leaves with half a jar of mayonnaise with stale bread and a half cooked cold egg ( the White was not cooked through), the burger that I had was also awful, the chips came with aload of salt on and the bun tasted like an old flip flop, the burger itself looked and tasted like it had been flipped around the carpark a few timed and to top it off the onion rings where just filled with oil. All in all the location and venue is out standing my advice is to find somewhere else to eat.

Revisited 30 years after spending our wedding night there. Lovely character still and the evening meal and breakfast were absolutely superb! Could tell the food was local and fresh. Bed was amazing too, slept like a log zzzzzz. We've booked for our 60th anniversary!!!

Lovely day celebrating a family wedding. Overnight stay. Room was gorgeous and a massive thank you to Gaye our waitress at breakfast. Friendly, happy and very attentive.
My husband and I recently stayed at Solberge Hall, and we were particularly impressed by the staff. All staff were friendly, pleasant and would go the extra mile for their visitors. The bedroom we were allocated was beautiful and had lovely views of the hills. We were that impressed and enjoyed our stay so much I have rung this morning and booked another stay for September.

We spent two nights in room 1 Hutton for my wife's birthday. The room was spacious, furnished in keeping with the building and very clean. From being greeted at reception to checkout all staff were polite and attentive with nothing being too much trouble. The food was excellent with plenty of choice and my food intolerance dealt with easily and efficiently. It was exceptionally good value as part of a winter offer. We will most certainly visit again.

Amazing place. Go every year for New Year s Day for a 3 course meal. There is normally 18/19 of us there. Everyone is catered for with all dietary needs. Kept in good contact with myself about my options for 2 vegan meals and asked me what I would like as the chefs would prepare it for me. Sadly had a family emergency this year mid way through meal and the staff were fantastic! Called an ambulance and ran round after all of us making sure everyone was okay. Couldn t recommend this place enough!

Had an excellent Sunday lunch today. Typical fare of roast beef and Yorkshire pud and a lovely starter of Gravadlax, with sticky toffee pudding to finish. This three course meal was inexpensive too. I'll be back!

Incredible food impeccably altered to suit children and include various dietry requirements delivered with friendly, quick service by staff. The same staff also swiftly and effectively dealt with an unforeseen medical incident responding with first aid and calling for help immediately whilst providing a quiet space for adults to shelter the children away from the worried commotion. An unfortunate abrupt to our meal, but left impressed with the staff and the whole operation.
Excellent. Our second visit to celebrate himselfs' birthday. Staff are wonderful. He got two cards from them. Considering the weather and the beautiful country location, staff were engaging and committed to making our stay perfect. I also noticed the same professionalism with other guests. Highly recommended. However, do not have the wonderful afternoon tea before the great evening meal, unless you can place yourself timewise. Both are amazing, delicious and filling.

What a lovely, lovely hotel this is. Staff so friendly and helpful, setting in this country house is beautiful, and the food was just something else. Really loved staying here, such a surprise to stay at such a great hotel. Want to revisit next with my wife (vs. this trip which was business related).
Lovely boutique hotel in a manor house, well possibly hunting lodge. Nice rooms, good restaurant, and small bar. Wheelchair access looked to be limited to the ground floor. If that is a concern I would check directly. When I'm back in the area, I will definitely use again.
