Our eighty plus golfers and wives were very well received by the hotel staff. Their customer service is outstanding, and we will be coming back again next year! The hotel facilities are also top-notch, including their complimentary breakfast. I would highly recommend this hotel, especially to all my friends!
The Sofitel Chicago went above and beyond to help make our son's engagement gathering special, fun, safe and successful. I searched the city for the right spot and Le Bar was the PERFECT place. From Scott at the front desk to Jessica Schoefernacker and Juan Luna they all went out of their way to make our gathering perfect. The location, food, drinks, and the service were all exceptional. After a year of lock down to have a celebration that went off without a hitch, felt amazing. They took care of every detail and I could be a guest at the party. The food was displayed so beautifully and was delicious. Jessica had the great idea to give away heart shaped macaroons and they were individually boxed for each guest with added chocolates. And, they were awesome. The room off of the main bar was perfect for keeping our gathering socially distant, safe and still fun for the guest. The music was amazing and the atmosphere was perfect!!! They even had the most adorable hand-painted sign congratulating the newly engaged couple at the front door. They went above and beyond and the pricing is so reasonable for the five star service and quality of food and drinks! I thank the Sofitel so much for all their efforts and hope others will take advantage of their great service, hospitality, delicious cocktails and amazing food! Thank you Sofitel!
The hotel itself is nice. I liked the room, the location, the bathroom. What I didn't like, and what made a huge difference for me, was that when booking through a third party, Sofitel ads a very sneaky extra charge of nearly $25 for what they call amenities. I saw this charge on my credit card and called the hotel. They said amenities were water, gloves, a mask, and something else that was something that should have been standard. None of those things were used by me, unless they meant the water in the shower and the tub. It is obviously a scam and seriously turned me off.
This hotel supported us with yet another wonderful stay! Thank you so much for upgrading my account! We want to sit here when we come for a break. It's a great place for us. Anything we want to see and do is conveniently accessible by foot. We will return, and I will suggest the hotel to my friends and family.

Beautiful hotel, comfortable beds, homey decor makes you feel welcome, did I say the bed was extremely comfortable! Keycard only access on elevators for safety. On-site restaurant Le Bar food was good
We stayed at this hotel last week and couldn't have asked for a better location or environment. The space was spotless, spacious, and offered a spectacular view of the capital! The location was ideal, with numerous attractions, sights, and transportation options all within easy walking distance. The hotel's staff is always courteous and professional. The next time I come, I'll sit here again.
Best hotel experience, I am so grateful to this hotel. My sister was having surgery down the street and we needed somewhere to stay overnight, they were kind enough to loan me their wheelchair to bring her back to the room. Friendly staff, beautiful hotel. Would definitely recommend. Close to many restaurants.
Decided to come here during the holidays. Luckily it was a Sunny but cold day with leftover snow from days prior.
This hotel is conveniently located at the end of State Street and Chestnut. A perfect combination of a tucked away enclave of Premier shopping. Just down the corner is the Bentley dealership, followed by a few blocks and you are near luxury boutiques, car dealerships, and fine dining.
Depending on the floor, you will have great views of the city, everyone was so courteous when addressing me.

Had been here about 10 years ago. Great location. Friendly staff, decent rooms for the price. However the bed and pillows were awful - never had issues sleeping in a hotel, this was a first understand that this may be just me. If you stay downtown, realize that the noise level is considerable throughout the night. Views from 28th floor are amazing.
