The only reason this place gets 1 star was the fact that they make seemingly solid and good looking couches.

We have been shopping around for a couch and this was the 7th place we stopped in at in 1 day.
We went in knowing it would be expensive but wanted to give it a chance.
On walking in I gravitated toward one couch in particular, sat down and was starting to get a feel for it when the sales person walked up.
She started off by asking if we had been to Sofa Works before and, when I mentioned that I thought I had been to another location previously, I was met with a holier-than-thou response of "No, this is the only location, we have been around since...blah blah blah"
She then proceeded to tell me that she didn't like the couch that I was sitting on and, without asking, pulled out a iPad and started showing me all of the things that she could change on it, which happened to be all the aspects that I liked.
Needless to say we left almost immediately.
I don't care how good the couches are, terrible customer service wont sell products and we definitely wont be back

Really friendly and knowledgeable people. Furniture is made locally in Coquitlam at their showroom/warehouse. Have purchased many pieces over the years and will continue to do so. Highly recommend!

We had a sectional made through SofaWorks in Coquitlam just before Christmas 2019 and couldn't be happier with the result. It was a challenging build because the sectional had to fit into an existing sunken area but also be capable of standing on legs in future when we move from this house. The interior designer we worked with (Laura) was fabulous! She came to the house to assess the colours and style we had to work with and selected the perfect combination to fit into our decor for our sectional and throw pillows. The build was done on time, delivered as promised, and then when we noticed a small deficiency, they took the piece back and fixed it - no questions asked - and returned it within 2 days! Fantastic experience overall. We can recommend this company to everyone!

I loved everything about my experience at sofawork...

I loved everything about my experience at sofaworks. The staff was helpful and friendly, the selection was incredible. The furniture is custom made so we could pick all sorts of customizations. We purchased a queen sleeper sofa and had a custom made matching storage ottoman made so that it functions like a chaise. Easily the most comfortable sofa we say on in a week of sofa shopping. And best, it's all Canadian made, in house. It's really nice to be able to support a local business. Delivery was also efficient and hassle-free. THANK YOU!!

I bought a couch and chaise lounger from Sofaworks in the early 2000s and is still in excellent shape to this day. Highly recommend them to anyone. Well worth the investment and cost-wise it wasn't more than couches i was looking at from other stores.

Our experience with SofaWorks (Coquitlam) has been...

Our experience with SofaWorks (Coquitlam) has been exceptional. Our initial visit to the showroom provided us with advice on what to look for in a sofa - with no pressure to buy. After visiting about 15 other stores the same day, we returned to SofaWorks for some take-home fabric swatches. We then returned the following week and decided to purchase a sofa. We were told it would take somewhere between 5 & 7 weeks for delivery to our house. After about 1 week they advised us there was a problem with the supply of the fabric we chose. We went in 1 week later and chose another fabric - the owner and floor manager were very apologetic and supportive helping us to find an alternative fabric - which we actually liked better than the original. Despite this delay, the sofa still arrived just under 6 weeks after we ordered it. The delivery guys were extremely courteous and professional. As were the owner and floor manager at every step of the process. We are very happy with look, feel, and build quality of the sofa. We highly recommend Sofaworks - based on the quality of product, warranty, and service.

Jay was very attentive and thorough when my partner and I went into their store. We needed a custom sectional built for our home and he explained every detail. The price is very reasonable and the quality of the finished product was perfect. There was so much flexibility to what they can do and they have many textiles and fabrics to choose from. Overall, Softworks exceeded every expectation of mine and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a new loveseat, sofa or sectional.

I guess I was the few who have had a bad experience. Everything seemed to go well with the purchase. They seem to stand by their product and I love supporting Canadian businesses. The problem I had was they never mentioned the warranty of the fabric. It completely faded after a year and half. The warranty is only 1 year. I've never seen fabric fade on a couch like this. I've bought cheap couches before and I've never seen a couch fade like this. I spent 3400 on this couch. Also within the 2 years the cushion started to lose it's firmness, and I know this had a warranty because the owner said it would have a lifetime warranty. Sweet. Anyways, I emailed them twice and never got a response. So about 2.5 years later, I emailed again, and finally got a response. So obviously they wouldnt cover the fabric which is unfortunate, cuz the couch is gross and now I'm stuck with it. And I now have to bring the cushions in to get fixed. I'm not in a rush, since they werent in a rush to email me.
I posted a picture. We flipped the cushions, but still, it faded. Also, the couch was a sage green...the super faded one is yellow, and the green is a gray-green.

My husband and I had a couch and a love seat made 25 years ago. The couch we tossed about 10 years ago because we moved and didn t have room for it. But I still have the love seat and it is still in great condition except where the cat scratched it. But the frame is good and the fabric has held up tremendously. Just now looking to have another set made for our new home.
