Got robed by the ATM: tried to recharge phone credit (touch) the system errored and did not provide the coupon code and it registered the error: what does the Bank do? not care and "nothing can be done"

And i Just learned that my Father tried to withdraw 600$ - ATM errored and never got the money yet still got 600$ withdrawn from his account and the bank wont acknowledge before investigating a wait of 10 days at least. This is not good technology or good service !
