Even with low snow levels, there was plenty of space to teach my son to ski and enjoy some more challenging runs myself. I do think they could make much better use of space in the chaotic equipment rental area. That said, the staff was quite nice and helpful.

Snow Valley is a great park for new riders. Most of the trails are a little raw as they where just built. It is cool to see all the progress they are making to add additional trails while visiting as well. Great for the price and almost no wait time at the lifts.

Less crowded, family friendly ski resort with some beginner and intermediate runs. Friendly people, too. Parking is $10, you must have ID of whoever bought lift tickets online. Go to Guest Services if you don't.

I visited this place on a Friday, rates are reasonably low. Customer service from staff was outstanding. Rental equipment are fairly new and well prepped. Trails were well groomed. Lots of room to play. Snowboard park has lots of obstacles to for you to try.
I would definitely visit Snow Valley again soon.

So I live in the area of this resort so I come here often. It's a very family friendly place and all the people who work here has always been so friendly and polite! It's so much fun and a great place to spend your day. I'd highly recommend going to Snow Valley!!

Just gonna throw out my thoughts here typing on my phone...Staff and the runs are just great. High speed chair rocks. The not so great = line for rentals are horrendous. We waited over an hour in a snakey long line. Parking lot traffic is a nightmare simply put so be prepared or leave before the crowd. Food is also sub par. Chicken sandwich was a microwave looking patty slapped on some bread. No sauce, lettuce or anything. Bar was nice and fully stocked. I already read some reviews so I kinda knew what to expect but one thing that rang true was that the staff more than made up for it. For those with kids... i put both my boys in boarding lessons and the teachers were amazingly great...dont hesitate to do it...pls dont forget to tip these awesome instructors.

This mountain is the BEST place to learn the greatest sport in the world.....skiing and boarding has been part of our life for 40+ years. The greatest ski school on the planet. Fun runs and real close to OC and LA cities. GOGOGOGO !!!

I honestly enjoyed my time last winter I was here, I'm preparing to go here once again this upcoming winter. The service here is great and so are their prices. I booked classes for myself and my 2 kids which they enjoyed, and the prices for classes beats any other prices around.

This was our first time at Snow Valley Mountain Resort oh, it was really fun even though there was not much snow, there was not that many people due to an event at Bear Summit which was even better for us.

My son took a half-day class which I found to be a very good way for me to have some free time and take the slopes by myself without having to worry about him , the class appear to be good since he learned many good basic things that he didn't know and the price of the class included a full day lift ticket which I feel it's a very good deal due to the fact that the clasp is three hours and then you're able to hit the slopes as much as you want.

As with all days ski resorts matters the most is that there's fresh snow and that you're able to have fun

We paid $10 for parking and then redeemed it in cash from guest services. Well maintained. If only they offer both up and down lift services, it would be great. For now. Its only one way up in lift and come down by skiing.

Funny

Snow Valley is a great place for skiing and snowboarding. The courses are fairly easy and the Black Diamond runs are very fun! The view at the top of the mountain is great and you can see Big Bear lake from the top. The only downside to Snow Valley is that if you like to sled or play in the snow it's an extra $30.

Really fun sledding and great snow! But I found it ridiculous that you have to pay for even just a 2 yrs old. On weekends they only sell the snow lift tickets and not the snow play tickets. Also, you cannot even walk on the snow without a ticket!! Staff is nice though!

Currently my favorite place to go for riding. It's closer to home, less crowded, and priced right. The beginner slope is my least favorite part, since in my opinion it needs a little more slope. It's too easy to get stuck on a flat part. My son is learning to ride, and this is a good place for him. But he too get frustrated at constantly getting stuck on the beginner slope, but he is still falling down quite a bit, which makes it hard for him to get started again.

Overall, this resort is a great value for a great day. We will continue to come here again and again.

this has been the biggest waste of a day. we bought our tickets online days ago thinking that will call would be better than waiting in line to purchase tickets when we got here but once we got here were informed they only have 1 line for both! the wait has been over an hour already and we're not even halfway through the line. on top of that they don't seem to care that they've sold way too many tickets and the lift line is now just as long as the ticket line. if we're lucky we'll get 2 runs in for our $100. not worth it for this crappie resort. if give it 0 stars if it let me. ...

Really good local skiing. Easy to get to from Southern California, lot's of parking and probably the most affordable skiing in the mountain. wish the upper skiing areas would open sooner, perhaps an hour after the lower sections - especially when the snow is great.

We drove 5 hours to get there and do some night snowboarding and when we got there we were told you were closed due to bad weather.. You should prompt people that you are closed or closing early if you are... Also the wait time to get your call answered was an hour. I am completely dissapointed with this resort...

What a great place. The service is excellent.

What a great place. The service is excellent.
I wish I had got the name on the gentleman at the ski lift who helped my daughter to adjust her skiis. He was so polite and helpful. [we went back today 31/03 and saw him again. Once again being super helpful, his name is Jeremiah.]
If you re thinking of learning to ski you can t do better near LA. We stay in Running Springs and miss out on all the business of big bear.

I just moved to the area and obtained a seasonal job with SV thinking they would be a reputable employer with an ethical work environment. I was astonished as to what went on during my employment there in regards to broken equipment and safety as well as the managements lack of response to employees concerns regarding their own safety while working with agressive guests. Their response is to bury the incident and let you quit so as not to have a ding on their insurance or to not acknowledge agressive guests behavior. SHADY! So many good people lost to subpar management with wetbrain. Droves of people have quit due to a hostile work environment and poor decisions being made on a daily basis. They can hardly keep up with the turnover. I would recommend you go to a more professional resort in the area so as not to subject ones self to the inherent dysfunction that exists here.

I HAVE A BROKEN TOOTH BECAUSE I WAS BODYSLAMMED BY A SNOWBOARDER 3X MAKING MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS TO BUMRUSH THE LIFT PAST ME AFTER REFUSING TO COMPLY WITH A SIMPLE REQUEST TO REMOVE HIS TICKET FROM THE PAPER BACKING OR STEP ASIDE AND WAIT FOR A SUPERVISOR. WHEN AN IRATE GUEST REFUSES TO COMPLY WITH STANDARD PROTOCOL AND HAS A PETULANT TANTRUM, IT PUTS THE EMPLOYEES AS WELL AS OTHER GUESTS AT RISK OF BEING INJURED. IF YOU SAY ANYTHING YOU ARE REGARDED AS A "DRAMA QUEEN" BY MANAGEMENT FOR DOING YOUR JOB. THEY ARE MORE CONCERNED ABOUT GETTING THEIR JACKET AND EMPLOYEE PASS BACK WHEN YOU DECIDE TO QUIT RATHER THAN ASKING IF YOU ARE OK AFTER BEING PHYSICALLY ASSAULTED. THAT WAS MY EXPERIENCE THERE.

We had fun with the bogo January learn to ski package & bonus night skiing on Fridays (& Saturdays) free parking and no crowds during the week, ended the night riding the roller coaster at Santa Monica Pier.
