Cannot recommend this company. They absolutely do not respect your time as a worker. VERY low pay. This company is one of those bottom feeder IT firms. You'll do much better getting in touch with a company closer to the source of work. As someone else mentioned, the positive reviews are from employees. I just checked their LinkedIn profiles. Of course they'll have positive things to say about it; they're making all the money! Pay the field techs better, or they'll all go make more delivering pizzas or answering tech support questions in a call center.

This company is very unorganized and does not like to pay. I worked a few hours for them and they shorted me on my hours and now they don't want to pay me. If you want the run arounds and no pay, this is your place. I don't see how they got 3 stars when some well known companies don't even have 4 stars.

I was told that I was 'Unprofessional" because I backed out of an interview with a client. So I guess I should have gone ahead with a job I didn't want. That makes sense. I was also told that I would be removed from the smartsource database. This recruiter must not know of the considerable competition there is between recruiting firms. Who cares if I'm removed from smartsource. What a feeble threat. And how unprofessional is that.

Most unethical business practices I have seen in a long time. They use independent contractors in ways that are considered misclassification under IRS guidelines and when I tried to collect on thousands of dollars of work that I was stiffed on, they approach me with offering to pay it if I sign a non compete agreement and forcing independent contractors to sign non compete agreements is a big no no under the law.

I've started back in 2013 to 2016 with SmartSource. Gaining so much knowledge and experience. I offered to help in every way possible. I've worked with many recruiters and accepted low pay rate calls and just wanted to help and show them that I am a reliable IT Tech. I accepted rate started from $20 to $75. Then suddenly, they sent me an email saying that they need to put me on a "Do not use" list because I was not accepting jobs that they were offering, instead I was requesting jobs which I was able to do. Anyhow, just know a piece of me miss this company. I miss working for them. Any time a recruiter asked and called me to help, i was on my feet and ready to help them. So sad this happened.

These people use various worker sourcing platforms like workmarket and field nation. They maybe hiring you as a worker when there are multiple layers of vendors between you and the client you are doing the work for. Be very careful when you agree to work for these people because they will play games with paying you. For example, you agree to work for so many dollars per hour and then when it's time to pay you, they will deduct the platform fees from your pay and then tell you that you agreed to it when in fact there was no discussion about the worker paying the fees.

While it seems like it might be an isolated incident or not that big of a deal, if you multiply it times a hundred or thousands of workers it's a huge amount of money.

They are not above board.

Workers beware.
