SLO Brewing Co Review

I was here for dinner over memorial day weekend and it was a big disappointment. Was busy on this Saturday night and we were trying to figure out where to eat. Our fault for deciding to eat here in the first place when we walked right by so many great looking restaurants.

We avoided having to wait for a table by sitting at the bar. The quality of food is below average, and the drinks were very weak. We actually asked the bartender to remake one of the drinks, and just left the other one sitting there. The Calamari was probably one of the worst I've ever had. Wasn't crispy at all. More soggy than anything else. Also interesting that they fry the slices of lemon with it as well. The Chicken Not Pie was okay, but a bit pricy for what you're getting. I ended up picking at this with my partner. The Southwestern Salad was very bad. It was literally a plate of goo. The salad wasn't fresh and the chicken came in big chunks, as if they just ripped it apart from a rotisserie chicken and tossed them in the salad. Terrible.

I guess this isn't the place to go to for a decent meal. People probably come here for drinks more than they do the food.

Fish and chips were on point as well as the tacos. Great outdoor seating as well and very spacious place overall with descent prices.

Good brew pub. Stopped in for a pint. Didn't eat so can't review the food but the mustang IPA was tasty. My brother got the blood orange hefeweizen which was equally good. They have a few blonde ales that are flavored uniquely (like blueberry), lagers, and a red ale. Atmosphere is relaxed and it looks like they have live music at night (we came during the day).

Came in on a Tuesday afternoon. Table for 2 with 2 large dogs. They sat us down in the back patio area. Setting is perfect with the creek running, just beautiful. It was a bit chilly so we had someone turn on the heater and move it closer to us. 15 minutes pass by and noone came to wait on us. My guest had to go in to retrieve a waiter. Hawkins was our waiter and apologized for the delay. He then offered our 1st round on the house for the delay in service. We ordered drinks and the appetizer of sausage, pretzel, and fondue. He proceeded to bring 2 bowls of water for the boys. We had the patio to ourselves which made it kind of romantic. The appetizer was brought out and was perfect. The best item on that plate was the garlicky broccolini. We then ordered the Brussels with bacon and goat cheese. So delicious and the goat cheese paired with its creaminess. We then ordered their Brew Burger and one extra patty for the boys. The boys just loved their burger, so did my guest! I would recommend a visit! Will be returning.

The beers were good, I can't expect less for a brewery, but not amazing.

The food I had was really amazing, the Growler burger, one of the best burger I ever had! The meat was really tasty, smoky and bacony, covered with onions, cheddar, egg, etc... Highly recommended! (in comparison the fries are not the best...)

Bomb food. Local and Slo town favorite. Great local brew and nice outdoor seating overlooking creek. Good prices too.

We're from out of town, but were looking forward to coming here to eat. Ezra our server was amazing! Came for our 4th wedding anniversary today & it was just wonderful! Best fish tacos I have ever had, seriously. My wife had the brew burger & was impressed. Her 30th IPA & my Blueberry Blonde were outstanding. Definitely coming back again.

WILL be returning here for sure! Everything on the menu looked amazing, but I couldn't resist the grilled cheese special, OMG! Goat cheese, mozzarella, fig jam, arugula, with a side salad, ridiculously decadent. Sat out back creekside, highly recommend.... listening to the awesome 80s music jamming, seriously a great way to end the weekend. Easy bike ride from where I'm staying and to catch the train home, right in center of town. Sorry, final note... server Daniel was great. Better service than other local places rated highly, IMO.

Good beer and good service as far as I could tell. I was only stopping in for a few minutes and had the fries, they were amazing! I would like to go again and try a few more beers.

The Brew Burger was amazing! I recommend coming through on a weekday, not too busy and atmosphere is a bit more chill. Boyfriend got the pork green chile nachos, lacked flavor and could use more spice. But not bad! Overall, great place and enjoyed it!
