Slo' Bones BBQ Smokehaus Review

On our family get away, we stopped here to try something new and am I glad we did!
They have amazing corn bread, bbq sauces, oh and did I mention the BBQ! Yummy.
Will definitely be back again.

Best BBQ I've had in a long time. The ribs and brisket were fantastic. Great atmosphere and Dan was great. Our first time there and he took his time to explain the menu. Can't wait to go back

Visiting from Ontario, Canada. Decent beer selection, however the staff didn't seem to have knowledge about the beer. Then food however was so good. Excellent ribs and pulled pork. Huge portions. Kid friendly.

Bavarian Inn had 90 minute wait so we stopped in here. Turned out to be a blessing in disguise as the food and service here was better. Great brisket and ribs. Service at the bar was also great.

They have the most amazing food! You won't regret visiting them, it is sooooo worth it!

Staff was good, food isnt worth the money. $20 for the 2 meat combo. 2 dry pieces of brisket, and 3 bones of bland ribs.

SERVICE WENT DOWN HILL. Napkins not even wrapped. Took 10 mins to be noticed on a slow day. Then another 5 to be Asked for drinks. Then are waiter acted as if we were not welcome. To bad wanted to like this place.

A pleasant surprise. Off the main street but still crowded during the off-season which means the locals go there. Fair prices but great service. VG++

This was my second time eating here at Slo'Bones BBQ. This brisket is awesome and you don't leave hungry. It's off the main drag in Frankenmuth, however it's worth the little drive off the main drag for some great BBQ. I definitely be back again.

When this place first opened it was great...but over time it's not good at all..we have been back thinking it will improve but it's only gotten worse..we ordered drinks and when the waiter brought those we ordered food..2 mins later here was our food..well you know it's not going to be fresh..and it wasnt..it was very dry and tasted like it sat under a heat lamp all day..the ribs looked horrible..can't believe this place is still in business..Famous Dave's has Better BBQ bar none.

This place was horrible! The food took 40+ minutes and it wasn t even busy, service was HORRIBLE!

First time ever eating here. Ive gone to other BBQ places to try their ribs and none of them, at least in my opinion, serve more tender ribs than Slo' Bones BBQ Smokehaus in Frankenmuth. The ribs are so tender they come right off the bone. The cornbread is VERY good! So as far as Im concerned, Slo' Bones is my number one place to go to for the best ribs. They're definitely worth driven an hour to eat good food plus they also have a live band, check for the times and days.

Horrible service was on her cell phone instead of working. Food wasn't that good either

Great find for BBQ in Frankenmuth. Fantastic service and good food. I had to get mixture of items so I could get a full BBQ experience. All was worth the money. They have sweet tea which is pleseant since it is not a northern state. It is off the beaten path and I definitely recommend this place for a change in pace and also for the love of BBQ

Food is over seasoned, and over priced. Nothing special, I'd give it a one start but service wasn't horrible. Would not recommend

Went here with a reservation on Father s Day. Got there and was told we had no reservation and my mother showed her the conversation on her phone. Still continued to tell us we didn t have a reservation, did not apologize and was rude as hell the whole time! Long story short we asked for a table she told us it would be 15 mins took our phone number and said we would receive a text when our table was ready. 45 mins later nothing, we went in waited 10 mins up front with no one to greet me so we left and ate else where and still never received a text. So disappointing. Was going to have them cater my wedding in September. DO NOT RECOMMEND

Lots of flies, dry tough brisket. Server Mackenzie was nice but not the best food or portions..

Terrible. Will not return or recommend. Server was good, hostesses were rude, manager needs customer service training and food was not good. Brisket tatsted like reheated on 30 seconds, I've had better burnt ends out of my crock pot. If manager had better experience to at least offer a better piece of brisket with meal instead of being defensive and rude, that may have helped. Overall, boo.

It's just ok. Food was mediocre, staff was less than mediocre. I wouldn't choose to go back, but I probably wouldn't refuse to go back either. Their smoke flavor tastes very artificial.

Delicious food, outstanding waitress,very nice and patient,explained everything, took her time with us first timers. We WILL be back.

Always wanted to try this place. Finally did and was disappointed big time. Grease soaked food. Dirty floors, crossing this place off a list of good bbq. Not even close to good..

We first went to Slo' Bones a year ago and we really liked it! We had been there 2 more times and it was ok. We went for our 4th time Saturday 1/20/18 and it was awful! I gave 2 stars because the Bloody Mary was excellent and our waitress was good. The food was insulting!
My husband has always ordered the "pick 3" $26! He's been happy to pay that in the past because the slow smoked meat was always very good and you received a reasonable portion. NOT THIS TIME!!! The meat was terrible! Dry and no smoke flavor and the most insulting tiny portion for $26! No moisture what so ever in the meat, this is what they are suppose to be known for! The slow smoked meat! How do they think they can charge their customers $26 for a plate of garbage?! I wish I had taken pictures! I would be posting them if I had!
There beer is over priced compared to other good restaurants and the food we had was way over priced and horrible! $80 for 2 people not including tip! This place sadly went way down hill! Won't return here and would not recommend to anyone!!

The BBQ at Slo Bones is really good. I had the wings and chicken quarter combo and they were excellent. If you're looking for something off the beaten path in Frankenmuth, this is the place to go.

Terrible terrible terrible!!! We were seated for over 10 mins and a server never came over. She did however wait on the tables that came in after us. We left without eating. On the way out we let the hostess know what happened and her response was, "yeah, I see that, I just sent Abby over to clean up your table." No I'm sorry, would you like to speak to a manager nothing. Not even a goodbye. I tried to call to speak with a manager and after 35 mins of busy signal each time I called, I did what their wait staff did and gave up! NEVER AGAIN!!

Great food and entertainment. I live in Missouri and frequent BBQ Restaurants on a regular bases in Kansas city and St louis and it was like being back home.

Holy wow! We came here under suggestions of the Google reviews and we were not let down!! Every thing we ate here wow'd us. The onion rings were magnificent! I really can't recommend this place more!

Food was good. Kyle was a very attentive waiter. But the flies that were buzzing our table were too much. We spent our entire dinner fighting the flies. Won't be in a hurry to return here

Service was bad, took nearly half hour to get a drink refill, food was okay, premade which is very unsatisfactory for couldn't get what I wanted for it had something in it I don't like. Will not be returning.

Best brisket ive had in the snow...well worth it...even my difficult family raved about it we fought over the left overs

My coat was hanging on the back of my chair and sticky BBQ sauce was spilled down my back, on my coat, and the floor. When I told the manager she said I couldn't prove it and refused to acknowledge that her staff was responsible and NOTHING could be done. Won't be back!

Great place for lunch or dinner. Their smoked meat is delicious, tender and flavorful.

Half the food came cold, the mixed drink was anything but, i had to go to a table that the people just got up from to get BBQ sauce for my group because it never came with the food, waitstaff is not attentive because the ONLY drink refill we got was with the check that we had to REQUEST. My friends and i will never visit this place again when we revisit Frankenmuth. Besides, a BBQ spot should smell like it outside, and not like the cigarette smoke from the employees hanging out by the dumpster! And nothing tasted truly smoked.

Slow is right. One star. We sat for 10 minutes at a tiny uncomfortable table and none of the servers even made eye contact. So we left. We probably could have gotten some water if we kept waiting for another 10 minutes, & maybe they would have brought food if we had a couple of hours to spare. It smelled good, I'll give them that.

Cornbread was excellent, Ribs and Brisket were out of this world, Macaroni just wow..and the Housburger was perfect

Hostess was unprofessional, untruthful....Food was horrible....The only good thing was the poor tiny little bartender that was all by herself and got no help!

Great food ok prices would definitely come back. Get there early.
