Ben has been my barber since moving to Auckland and his level of customer service has felt like we have been friends more than a customer. The experience and vibe I received in this shop as well as the haircut made me feel so much more comfortable and relaxed. I have never been to a barber that offers this level of service.
I took 18 month old twin boys here today and not only was Joseph happy to cut their hair (it's really hard to find a good barber who will cut toddlers hair!), he was incredibly patient with them and did an awesome job! Thank you!!
Came in for a hot towel beard trim and was very impressed by the whole experience. Joe is a top lad with good chat and can cut a mean beard. Will definitely be coming back again.
Excellent experience, needed a cutthroat shave on the double and was bale to walk in and sit down directly. Wouldn't really recommend that, I think I just got lucky really but I was really happy to be able to get the trim. Good banter in the chair, didn't try to have a conversation with a knife to my neck which was nice because some guys just don't know when to not talk. Hot towel, good questions regarding style, real good shape and lines. Will definitely be back and recommending.

I cannot recommend Slick Shop enough! Had a great time here and will be making this my regular barber shop from now on. Haircut quality and attention to detail was above anything else I have experienced in the past. The online booking system also keeps things clean and simple, which is mirrored when you walk into the shop itself, with its sleek design and layout making you feel comfortable and right at home.

My first impression of Slick Shop was great, I was offered a beer whilst waiting for my barber Josh who then politely lead me to his chair. Josh overall was great/ banter, his haircut skills were brilliant and I would highly recommend Slick Shop based in Ponsonby.
The fellas delivered on a clean sissor cut for my mid to long hair. For my wedding too. Knocked it out the park.

Walked in of the street but will now make it a destination. No doubt that best best cut I've had for awhile(thanks Joseph) and I've tried the range of barbers ,barber shop, boar and blade and even the Barkers Groom room. They were good but this was great.

Had the pleasure of Josh cutting my hair today. After a not very good experience with a cut in Wellington I needed my hair tidied massively!. Re-shaped, faded, basically EVERYTHING!. Josh did not disappoint. It was a fantastic cut! I look sharp, styled and also enjoyed the hot towel treatment something barbers do not offer enough of including the complimentary drink on offer at Slick Shop. Josh is hugely experienced, professional and most importantly has a great personality to make for an even more enjoyable experience. I've had cuts all over the World and can quite safely say Josh knows his stuff!!!!!!!! Great atmosphere in an easy going barbers with great people. Highly recommend!!!!!!!!!

Don t leave bad reviews but had a shocker here, new barber who was quite incompetent, nice friendly service but they didn t explain that he didn t know what he was doing, I stoped the haircut halfway through and no one came to help or address the issue so hence the review. Hope you guys can address issues like this in the future. Maybe discount rates and explain about new starters

Great new barber shop on Ponsonby Road. Full service (straight razors, not happy endings), great chat and a bangin' looking setup. Barber Joe is a straight-up boss - best haircut I've had since the last time he cut it. Can't recommend highly enough.

Never rushed and felt very comfortable he knew exactly what he was doing. Also worth mentioning the shop has a very slick fit out in white, black and steel. If you are in the area, don't hesitate to make a booking.
