Just moved back from Sydney and looking for a new barber. Walked past today and went in. Top blokes, nice shop and great haircut. Will be the new regular.

I can personally say, after slowly making my way around the world, from a small town in Wales through to the big hubs of London, Sydney and now Auckland, this is the best barber experience i have had to date. I look the best I have in years. All thanks to Joseph.

I'm a relatively difficult customer for a barber - not really knowing what I want from the haircut bar it being considerably shorter - so went in made a booking and told him that I wanted a number one on the sides and a cut to suit but other than that it was all in his hands to do his best for me. Excellent and honest banter - good focus in what he was doing - was comfortable and over all really just a good experience

Wicked space with tall mirrors on dark walls around polished aggregate! The team are good-people too including (imho) one of Aucklands most attentive barbers - Joe! He s always got a good yarn, a laugh, gives the best cut and fade - and occasionally a good Netflix recommendation Awesome products too (get the slick gorilla! ) Get amongst it

This spot is wicked! Highly recommend booking online if you are looking for a professional experience as opposed to the "get in, get out" approach most other places around Auckland offer. Joseph is a real player in hairstyling and I highly suggest booking with him if you get the chance. No need to go anywhere else after trying Slick Shop. Their product "Slick Gorilla Styling Powder" is also a hidden gem which they sell.

Always go to Josh here at Slick Shop and he's the most consistent barber/hairdresser I've ever been to. Gets me right every time and he's a great dude to chill and chat to also. Upon getting to Slick Shop I was offered a beer which is killer and then Josh got straight into it. He does exactly what you want and he's extremely talented. I have a bit of an unorthodox haircut but Josh manages to make it a seamless experience. It's also obvious that he really cares about his workmanship and it seems he wants the haircut to look good more than I do at times, definitely a professional. Can't recommend him and the shop enough here! Legends.

Best cut throat I've ever had, and i love a cut throat

Serious skill at a legit price. Went in today on a Tuesday. Joseph informed I had to wait for a potential no show as they have a 15min buffer (super legit) then sorted me straight away. I have now had my hair cut twice by Keegan at Slick Shop and happy to say on both occasions the results have been top notch! Very Slick fade and scissor skills with a lot of care and attention to detail right throughout the cut. Will definitely be returning and would highly recommend!

I've now had a few cuts from Joseph and haven't gone anywhere else! It's obvious he is one of the best barbers out there and the effort and detail is always appreciated. Great bloke as well.

My Mrs butchered my barnet with the clippers on the weekend. Had to pop in Slick Shop to salvage it. Never experienced this level of detail and care gone into having my hair cut. Can t recommend enough. Will most definitely be back.

Dropped in today with my son and out of three other barbers on Ponsonby Rd they were happy to help. I'd met Joe before at a previous Barber and new my son would be well looked after. Also found out my old barber is coming back so will definitely be back, these guys rock!

Stitch is by far the best trim I have had in 3 years in New Zealand. Him an Joe great lads and good banter every time I m in the shop. Reasonably priced also! And a complimentary beer is always a good touch. Would recommend to anyone!!!

Went in today. Have walked passed it before on the way to the Supermarket , and the JFK video screen in the window (being a Kennedy fan) appealed. Booked online which is preferable to walking in and waiting for eternity. Very professional friendly service. The end result was great and the pricing better than my usual barber. So being in the neighborhood will make it a regular go to. Oh, and being offered a beer at 11am kinda cool.
