Great pizza! My friend and I have been trying a new pizza place in Charleston every weekend and last weekend was Slice, and it's become the favorite quickly. What it lacks in curb appeal it makes up for in everything else. Owner was very personable and knowledgeable and the pizza was straight up good. Good cheese, good crust, good sauce. Will be back!

Excellent is all I can say! The pizza, salad, and garlic knots were out of this world. The owner and staff were awesome! If you want some of the best pizza in town..go check them out. We will definitely be frequent customers!

My favorite pizza in Charleston!! My boyfriend & I travel everywhere trying different pizzerias and this is amazing! The cheese, the meat, the crust.... it's all perfection!!!!! We just ate there and I'm already ready to go back!! The owner just created the best ranch dipping sauce I've ever had & the garlic knots are divine! YOU HAVE TO CHECK THEM OUT!

My husband and I have tried ALL the pizzerias in and around Charleston in search of the perfect New York style pizza. Our verdict: Slice Co. is the best! Their crust if perfectly thin with ideal topping ratios - we loved both the regular slices and the grandma style. Slice Co. also offers a vegan option which I am excited to try next time. We chatted with the owner, Todd, while we ate. He is very friendly with an interesting and rich background in the culinary industry. Todd went out of his way on a busy Friday night at the restaurant to connect with us which we really appreciated. PSA: they also have delicious ice cream sandwiches!

You have to check out Slice Co when you re in West Ashley!! My boyfriend and I came here to eat one night and the food was incredible. Todd, the owner, is such a cool guy and gave us so many suggestions for other great places to eat around town. We thought it was so awesome that he took time out of his work to talk with us and we really loved his food. Definitely making this a spot!

Vegan pie- sooo delicious. My husband and I tried the vegan pizza with garlic confit and mushrooms, absolutely amazing. We can t find an appetizing vegan pizza anywhere, usually the cheese and crust is gross. But dang, slice co has it going on! Highly recommend

Ordered a whole pizza and garlic knots. Crust was good but we didn't like the cheese. It tasted like it had something like ricotta mixed in. There was very little of the sausage topping.

The garlic knots weren't great, a bit soggy

I've long been a big supporter of Slice, having went to their walk up window at Workshop when they were there many a times. This most recent visit had me disappointed, however. I went with 2 classics, the grandma and the white. The grandma was still strong but the white was lacking in the heaps of caramelized onions I've come to expect, with small bits found sparingly over the pizza. I also ordered the kale salad. This was my first salad from them but will likely be my last. Its flavor profile was good but again, toppings were sparse. I still trust them to make good pizza and food in general but am not willing to pay premium prices for skimping on ingredients and toppings. I hope this turns around when I decide to try again at a later point in the future.

This pizza was pedestrian at best. But, like a pedestrian holding up traffic. Super middle of the road. Middle of the road, the saying, not the Scottish band.

Lets start with the sauce.
That's it, I'm done.
There was almost no sauce on this pizza. If my pizza was any drier, it could have been a British comedian.

To be fair, the crust was great. That or I was just excited to be done with the slice. Take that as you will.

What really waters my tomatoes are the toppings. I ordered a large pizza half cheese, half pepperoni and mushroom.

They advertise $3.61 a topping.
Read that again. $3.61 a topping.
On a large pizza, 2 toppings are $5.41.
I bought a large pizza with toppings on half the pizza. Still cost $5.00 for the toppings.

Normally, I wouldn't care in the slightest about .41 cents.
However, I am a big principle person.

That's why I am ahead on my car loan. I don't want to pay interest, I want to pay more on the principal.
The reason I hated high school wasn't the classes, it was the principal.
The last rodeo I was in, was a royalty rodeo. There, I actually rode the Prince's bull.
(These jokes work better when you can't see read the spelling of the words.)

I asked the woman behind the counter how much the toppings were. She told me $2.50. This made sense to me as I only got toppings on half my pizza.
I said, "Is that $2.50 a piece or both combined?"
She replied, "Combined."

I paid and requested a receipt because trust issues. She printed it off, looked at it and said, "Oh, I guess it was $2.50 a piece."

Bro. YOU WORK THERE. Am I the ONLY person who has EVER asked you how much the toppings are??

Did you not know I was going to ask for a receipt? C'mon now.

She then lied to me, or at least exaggerated, and said a normal topping is $4 a piece. They are advertised at $3.41 but also irrelevant because 2 toppings on a Large are advertised at $5.41. Considering I got them on half, I would think it would be half that, not .41 cents less.

Now, that I have been lied to I ask. "How can you charge so much per topping?" To which she quickly replied, "we make all out ingredients in house."

YOU GREW THESE MUSHROOMS??
You raised the cattle? Their back room has to be quite large.

She corrected me to say they season all the toppings themselves.
So i said, "I guess I'll find out."

Big Time Lies. The mushrooms are the canned mushrooms and stems you can buy for .50 cents at the grocery store. Call me Gwen Stefani because I have no doubts about this. If they did season these mushrooms they gave it a scarf and went to the pumpkin patch with them. Fall is the only season these mushrooms have ever experienced.

After seeing the pepperoni, I understand why the prices are so high for toppings. They have a NASA branded meat slicer in the back room next to the cattle, that can slice the meat into such thin measurements. I know it has to be some kind of laser technology.
Perhaps Buzz Lightyear brought this pepperoni back from inTHINity and beyond, which explains the NASA sponsored technology.

Again, the pizza was pizza, nothing I would usually write home about.
However, If I wanted to be lied to I would just get into another relationship.

Slice Co. saved my friends wedding when her food canceled on her wedding last minute. Todd and his beautiful wife Isolda made pizzas, meatballs, and salad very last minute for the wedding at such an affordable price. I will always stop by Slice Co. when I m in the the CHS area. Y all saved the day.

My husband and I ordered two whole pies via their online ordering process for pick up. We ordered two completely different pies and waited the 30 minutes to go to pick up. We got there and had to wait an additional 10 minutes for the pies to be done. We got home, opened the pies and they were both plain pepperoni
, NOT what we ordered. I clled and the women who answered said the online order didn t print out all the toppings. In the middle of a sentence a man grabbed the phone and said I already spoke you about this last time. I told him this was our first time ordering. He jokingly said guess it wasn t a good experience was it followed by you weren t charged for all the toppings if that makes you feel any better. It didn t because that s not what we ordered! He offered to remake ONE of the two pizzas we ordered. We wanted the two pizzas we ordered! Not a good business owner! Needless to say we will never be going back there again. $42 for two plain pepperoni pizzas no thank you! South of Philly will get my business from now on!

Got the white pizza (mozzarella, ricotta, pecorino romano, caramelized onions, sesame seeds). SO GOOD. The sesame seeds especially gave the pizza a unique flavor. Looking forward to trying more from their menu. Nice people who work there as well.

Got the white pizza. I'm from NY and this is as close to NY pizza as you can get. Thin crispy crust, fresh ricotta used, and it only took 10 minutes to cook. Absolutely amazing. I will definitely be going back and trying all the other pizzas. Spoke to the owner while I was there and he was very friendly and happy to answer any questions I had. He definitely knows what he is doing.

Everyone was super friendly and personable. Pizza was fantastic and will most definitely come again. Started out with 2 slices (regular and grandma) and knots. Went down in seconds. Back it up with 2 more slices.

Not to mention the music playlist was on point.

Best pizza in the south. Pizza is my favorite food and I grew up in an Italian area in PA. This is what pizza is supposed to take like. Fresh ingredients. House made sauce and cheese. Just a welcome change.

Slice Co. in West Ashley is one of my favorite places for pizza in Charleston. All of their different pizzas are delicious and unique and something different. Everything that I have tried here has been fresh and tasty. This is a cool place to come to and has a relaxed atmosphere about it. The staff here is very friendly and efficient at making sure that you get your order quickly and that you have everything that you need. This is some of the best pizza in Charleston.

Celiac friendly pizza place owned/operated by actual New Yorker that knows their pizza. Flavor was awesome, service was great, all ingredients were fresh, great ratio of sauce and cheese. And fresh cooked meatballs for their subs!!
Best pizza that I've had in a very long time!
Will definitely be coming back!

Love this place, nice owners. The pizza is the best traditional style pizza I've had in Charleston, and I eat a lot of pizza. Crust, Evo, Luke's are all good, but this is the best from a traditional, thin slice approach. They have always delivered on time without issue and usually throw in a little something extra, great service.

Reading these negative reviews, I have to wonder if I went to the same place as them! It is honestly unbelievable how good their vegan pizza is. It legitimately tastes JUST LIKE a New York style cheese slice, and definitely the BEST pizza I ve ever had in my life and that s coming from a Buffalo NY native.

PS my partner knows you, as he used to be at The Workshop as well, and we 100% stand by you and your talent as a business owner. Keep up the good work! You ve gained two customers for life :)

Their pizza alone is worth a visit because it's fresh, delicious, and unique for the Charleston area. The salads are great and tossed to order but that meatball sandwich basically a life changing experience. Well worth a visit (or 6) because Todd is genuine and dedicated which shows in the food.

No joke, the best pizza in Charleston. I ve followed their pizza since they were at the Workshop and it by far is the freshest and best pizza I ve had. A must have is the Grandma pizza pictured here. We also add the carmelized onions and Wagyu meatballs to put this pizza over the top.

AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE! I can t stand a liar or someone who doesn t follow through. I ll be sure to tell all the event planners and everyone I know about my horrible experience with this business owner

There's definitely good pizza out there, and I've tried a lot, but Slice Co is my new favorite. You can honestly taste how fresh the ingredients are and it makes other people's pizzas taste like garbage in comparison.

Fantastic pizza! Nothing extravagant or overdone, just great, fresh ingredients (in house mozzerella)by an owner that appears to love what he is doing. It was a very friendly place with surprisingly fast service. Many of the local pizza places all taste like fast food pizza, but definately not this place. I plan to go much more often now that I have discovered it. I ordered the pepperoni pie with fresh basil and garlic knots.

We order a whole Meatza pizza. Over all the pizza was pretty good. Sauce, cheese and crust definetly made in house, tasted very fresh. My only complaint is fo price of the pizza the amount of toppings very disappointing. Not much on there at all. For that I give them 3 stars.

Absolutely hands down THE BEST vegan pizza in the area!!! The crust, the sauce, the homemade cheese, the basil ,the service, ALL of it is top notch!! Charleston is seriously lacking in options for vegans (Come on! Catch up to the West Coast) so when we saw that Slice Co. not only offered a vegan pie but that they made their own vegan cheese, we had to try it I'm so glad we did! It was SO GOOD that we went back the next day for another!! It's am amazing pizza with amazing customer service-

Small location but they make up for it in taste. I absolutely love Slice Co. Their pizza is the best in town hands down! If you re in from out of town I highly recommend checking this place out and if you re a local, why haven t you tried this pizza yet?!?

It was my first time eating here and I can not say I was impressed. I have read the reviews of it all being made in house, but the overpriced pie lacked even the smallest flavor. Not even extra parm cheese and garlic salt could save it. Would not recommend.

This place is becoming a Mecca for vegan pizza in Charleston. The vegan cheese pizza is the best in town. All of their non meat toppings are vegan friendly. The people are super friendly also. Their vegan pizza is so popular they are going to start making their own vegan cheese which is awesome. We can t wait!

I can't understand the 4.9 stars on this. If this is "New York style pizza" well, I don't want to go. It was barely cooked, basically raw dough. Sausage, cheese and caramelized onions were all gross! Only thing I'll give them credit for is the pepperonis.
