The sleep technologist was very professional and sweet. She made me feel at home and explained the process very well. As a result I had a decent sleep considering the fact that you are hooked up to so many electrodes.

When you enter this parking lot MAKE SURE YOU TAKE A TICKET AT THE GATE, even if the bar is up at night! Security would not answer to let me out in the morning and sleep centre could only issue you an exit ticket for the gate if you already have one. I was stuck there for 1 hour waiting for someone to exit so that I could follow behind, while also being sleep deprived.
As for the centre itself, it is decent. Don't expect to have a heavenly sleep, there are some noises around at night, people moving around to use washroom, snoring, lights in the hallway flicking on etc. It really depends on who you have for neighbours that night. Technicians are alright, doing their job decently but nothing more than that. Biggest issue is that the appointment started 1 hour after the actual scheduled time, would have been nice to have some warning. Something else is the gel they used to attach the electrodes must be odd because on my face where they placed them I have had so many breakouts!
Would definitely recommend to get a sleep study done in a hospital if possible instead of here. Would likely be more professional and feel less 'processed'.
Senior technician (lady) unfriendly and abrupt. Very dismissive of student who had made a mistake when applying electrodes. Pushed the student aside and said: I'll do it myself"
Had a terrible night. Regular noises in the next room; sounded like someone was working and moving papers/files around. Door to the hall was kept ajar and as a result, when hall lights were turned on/off (frequently) it disturbed my sleep. After barely sleeping, I finally used the intercom, at about 3.30 A/M, but the same technician brushed aside my complaints and tried to tell me that the noise was a one-time occurrence because patient in next room needed to use the washroom. Noise stopped and door was closed. I estimate I had a total of about 4 hours sleep.
After the electrodes were removed, I was left with a goo-y substance in my hair where electrodes had been placed. No warning of this when appointment made. What if I had been required to go to work directly from the clinic?
When leaving, I mentioned there were no paper towels in the washroom. I was told I should have brought along my own towel (Again, no warning of this).
All in all, a very unpleasant/unprofessional experience.
I expect to hear the results of the study from my family doctor , but whatever it is, it will not be a true reflection of my usual sleep pattern.
Staff was very friendly, helpful and kind. Facility was clean and comfortable.
