I only order because my husband and I saw that it was new in the area and they were also listed on uber eats. Had know idea they were on channel 7. Why did channel 7 air them anyways??? Anywho...I did read all reviews and it seems like most liked it. I must say I agree with everyone that said it was not good. Not enough meat the fries are fresh cut so when you cook them of course there not going to be your ordinary crispy fries. Then they take their barbeque sauce and drown them which is not helpful. I order 2 tip wing link combo and tip wing combo. 1st off I only got 1 tip wing link combo. That upset me because now everyone is eating except for 1 person. I tried to call but went to straight to VM 3 times. Way to go on customer service. The sauce is mediocre and the tips do not taste like they been smoked. More like baked. The chicken inside was mediocre as well. Overall they get a 1 and I will never order again. If you are person that doesn't know much about Chicago barbecue this place is for you. Hopefully uber eats will refund me for my 3rd order soon!

Went there a week ago. Met my three main requirements for great carryout ribs....great meat, great sauce, great price. Just as good, if not better, than any of the long-time spots!

The place was crowded after being on a segment of the local news. The food was great definitely worth the wait. I will go back there when I get a taste for ribs.

I meet with friends this lovely spot quite a bit! This is the best place to dine. I visit this spot regularly. The food is fantastic, the staff members are professional and the payment is affordable. I enjoy going in this restaurant for a decent lunch.

Overall Excellent Product. I ordered the 1/2 Slab of Ribs with a side of Spaghetti and both items were delicious. The potatoes that came with the ribs were fresh cut potatoes. What impressed me the most was the friendly and professional staff and the cleanliness of the restaurant. This is a carry out place with ample parking. I will return to try other items.

I order two mini tips...my tips had nothing but fat on them...and the sauce is not tasty.

I ordered through Uber Eats a jumbo tip with extra sauce. This is my first time experiencing this place, my total order was 28 dollars for a jumbo tip. When my order came I had what looked to be be a medium with burnt fries soaked in sauce, and my tips were burnt and hard. I was so disappointed because I couldn t send it back for my money. If customers purchase through a third party app for food it s obviously a compliment they chose your establishment. I m not sure if it was a bad day but when you re dealing with food you have no room for bad days. Each day should be an improvement!!!

They are getting better because when they first opened they would actually give you bones with little meat on the bones, and small portions and little sauce, but I went in recently they serve better portions now and more meat on the bones, overall they are way better, everything else I like about the place, very clean and overall friendly staff.

Excellent BBQ...First off, the services is amazing everyone is very friendly..... I had the tip and link combo. The ribs were so tender. The links big and juicy and the sauce was to die for. Keep up the excellent work guys. Kudos to the owners. This place is a gem in the South Shore area

Friendly and welcoming staff. The rib tips are tender, served over skin-on hand-cut fries with a sweet, tangy sauce. The mac and cheese is a baked to perfection, and the mixed greens, flavored with bits of smoked turkey, and tender, like grandma's. Highly recommended.

After reading the reviews of other customers we decided to give them a try. The food at the Slab BBQ was disappointing. The French fries were made from fresh cut potatoes but they were burnt. The rib tips were over cooked therefore dry, tough and very little flavor. Their BBQ sauce kind of masked the bad taste of the meat. The spoon full of cole slaw was tolerable. My suggestion is to give a by-pass.

Best damn ribs on the south side! They don't just serve fries as a side. They greens, baked beans, and the spaghetti is wonderful!

I literally just left and I've had one bite of everything. I am in BBQ heaven! This southern gal has finally found her BBQ place in the Midwest. My daddy was a grill master so SLAB BBQ is right up there with him in my opinion. The young lady who took our order was very professional. My son is picky so she verified everything twice. I really appreciated that. Add some desserts to the menu and Lord knows you will be in trouble. We will definitely be back.

Food was not hot and half my tips were hard. I will not return. First time and last time

Sauce is very good don't care too much for rib tips next time I will try a small end ribs.

This really got my approval these ribs got my attention I ate my whole order of ribs couldn't put these bad boys down at all till they were gone.

My first visit with Slab Bar-B-Que was excellent! The order was a small rib tips with exposive Barbecue Sauce flavor that leaves you wanting more!!!

Service is great the ribs taste good I also had the mac n cheese which was good

I purchase 2 orders of tip an link combo yesterday....and all i can say is OMG.... I had to place another order just so that the family could taste it..... It was delicious an i will be back again....customer service was great....thank you again!!!!!

My favorite spot for tasty bbq. Don't fret if it's busy, it is worth the wait. Had a sister come into town and asked me to take her here again. Menu is similar to a restaurant in El Paso I loved.

The turkey legs was worth the 40 minute drive, the service was good, but was very disappointed that our Cole slaw wasn't with the orders

Food was very good prices are even better and you got your food right.

I'm really surprised to see so many good reviews. I don't like to bash a company for nothing. But I can't help but to add my 2 cents because everything was so bad. The food was pricey for the skimpy portions they give. Normally I don't mind fries soaked in bbq sauce but mine were room temperature, limp, and tasteless. The sauce is a weird combination of sweet/bitter. The rib tips were kinda tender, but they were shredded up and mostly bone. It was like someone put them in a blender for a few seconds. To give them a chance, I waited on my 2nd visit to write a review of this place and the first time was no better.

Wow just like on channel 7 hungry hound lol the service was great everyone was friendly, I don't eat pork so I tried the Turkey it was off the chains tender and juicy.

I'm not a big fry person but their fries were great!

Definitely going back for the mac and cheese and greens.

Best BBQ in the city! Hands down!!!! You can eat with or with out sauce either way, its GREAT!!!

The service is wonderful. The tips weren't seasoned. The hot links tasted more like polish sausages - they weren't hot at all. The fries were good. The customer service would bring me back before the food would.

No please No ... The tips where tuff ... The sauce was okay but not a fan of the meat .. Price was a little to high ..we have to do better.. Oh i will not spend my money here again.. Thank you..

The Prices are high but the quality of the food isn't worth the price tag. Better ribs at Lems and almost all of the nearby bbq joints. I'll pass on a revisit.

Ok while waiting on my order I asked for a bottle of water. " We don't have any more water",I then asked if I could have a small cup from them. We don't have water here-waiter said they go across the street for their water. How do you clean your hands when working with the food. I thought it was city ordinance to have water for the customer.

It's always good food..my first time trying the fried chicken wings and loved them.. I recommend them without any sauce they're season just right

I must have caught them at a bad time of the day - Friday 08/17 lunchtime - because it was all bad. I ordered the combo tips,wings,and links. Seemed like they went over board on the seasoning. To much ginger or turmeric? Everything tasted old. Link was tough. Shared it with other coworkers and none of them liked it. One coworker stated that she had some tips yesterday and they were good. Sorry I didn't get them yesterday if that was true. Slab Bar-B-Que if off my list. At these prices they should be good every time you walk through the door. Started to give them no stars:( Thumbs down.

That are extremely slow. Waited over 30 minutes for some chicken wings. They tell everybody it will only be 10 minutes. Don t believe the lie. The food is good but horrible customer service will fail any business. When I finally get my food there was no apology for the long wait or anything. I definitely won t be back

Trash I ordered the tip and link combo and the tips was chewy I had to put them in the oven so they could get tender and the link tasted like it was spoiled I will never order from this place again

They offer a fantastic variety of delicious food. I loved eating here. Staff members are always welcoming, pricing is affordable and the spot is always neat.

I have ordered mini rib tips and a small tip from Slabs. The second order was better than the first . The prices are reasonable, the orders a decent size & amt , the meat tender , fries not dry, tasty cole slaw and the bread moistened with their delicious sauce.The place is clean & service courteous.
I really enjoyed my meal. I like my ribs and have tried a few other places but I have to say Slab bar b que is my new go to . My order didn't last long enough to take a pic maybe next time .
A convenient location and there's a Cricket, Walgreens store & Chase bank branch nearby.

Food was hot, fresh, plentiful, we had the bbq chicken and ribs tips , just ask them to cut them into smaller pieces

Took 20 minutes just to take my order. I ordered tip link combo was very bad. The link was not done, and the portions are small.

I waited in an empty lobby for 10 minutes before someone took my order. Rib tips were not seasoned well, they forgot to give me 1 of my sides and the sauce was not to my liking. Mac and cheese was good though.

Ordered the Rib Tips and Hot Link Combo. Tips were tough and hot links were dry and tasteless. Very little sauce which you need for some flavor. Thimble full of coleslaw.

The meat was tooth tender. There was no fat, just meat. Not over salted or sweetene. It was smoked meat rather than direct heat cooked. The links need more heat.

My favorite location for quality bbq. Went there on a Saturday. They have a lot of good reviews for a reason.

The rib tips are delicious, the Turkey tips too! ...I've been here twice, definitely going back , the have soul food sides if u cater #Delicous&tender

They were at the south shore fest on sat at the cultural cry and I had some friends that drove Indiana to try it and then could not stop raving about it

Order was wrong, cashier went in back to handle food without gloves or washing hands, food under cooked (I had to put in oven at home) and that tiny thimble container of cold slaw is just plain stupid. Don't be fooled by those TV shows that do eatery reviews. Rib joints like this are hit and miss big time.

Love the food. I ordered today from Uber eats. Got lrg tips, 10 wings, Mac & cheese, greens and potato salad. I got it...no issues. Called the restaurant to let them know I loved the food but got very little sauce on the wings unlike anytime ever before. I'm still waiting...it's 6:52pm. 11/20/2020
7pm they hung up on me.

I finally tried it. It was okay. Service was fast. Rib tips were pretty tender, a few pieces were tough. I was not impressed with the sauce. The flavor of the meat had a chemical taste like lighter fluid. The fries were good. Thinking about returning the remainder of the tips and replace with fries. Still wondering why anyone gives a teaspoon of coleslaw.
