All property is completely neglected, with management that is careless, rude, and irresponsible. They treat tenants with arrogance and greed, charging extra fees for everything, including parking and storage. Don't fool yourself into thinking your experience will be any different. This is consistent across all levels of management. I definitely do not recommend it!

STAY AWAY!!! BEWARE!!

STAY AWAY!!! BEWARE!!

After over 40 years of renting, I ended up at a Skyline managed apartment.

During my 3 years in this building, they have overstepped their boundaries so many times it's beyond reason.

3 weeks into my first month there, I get a notice on my door saying "You made a mistake on the deposit and rent, the rent is now $75 more than you signed on your lease. You will need to bring us a cashiers check for $150, for the rent and damage deposit - ASAP". I email them a screenshot from my lease and tell them I'm not paying more. Oh, it was a mistake they say. Then they go ahead and auto-withdrawl an extra $75 with my rent for the next 3 months as I keep complaining and they keep promising to credit me on the next rent. On the third month, they finally fixed it.

2 months after I move into a brand new suite(first person ever living in this new apartment), I get notice that it's time for the 6 month inspection - then 2 people show up and proceed to go through my bedroom, closet, deck... through my entire home cause they need to "check it out".

Then the control on the window blind breaks, lease says I can't change it - need Skyline to fix it. 2 years, 3 suite inspections(reported over and over), 6 emails - and I'm still waiting for my blinds to get fixed or replaced. They tell me it's ordered, it's on the way - 6 months later, they tell me the blinds are illegal in Canada so they can't replace them.

My heat goes out, and it takes 5 weeks and 11 visits to my suite to fix the heat pump.

One day someone starts banging on my door, they don't' say anything though. I open the door and some maintenance guy is standing at my door yelling that my suite is leaking water into the hallway. I look in my kitchen, under the sink and you can see some water under the pipes, but there isn't anything obvious. He runs in and turns off the water to my sink. Some other guy with a suit walks into my suite and starts yelling at me that I'm supposed to be monitoring the water and making sure it doesn't leak out into the hallway. I really have no idea what responsibilities I have for the hallway, if the water was leaking onto the floor in my kitchen, I'd be dealing with it - but if it's leaking into the wall and out of my suite - it's out of my hands. So, this jerk keeps on yelling and putting me down until I tell him he needs to leave now. I finally get him out and find that he's some sort of regional Skyline manager that shouldn't even be entering the tenant's suites. Like seriously? He didn't enter my home to fix anything, or help with anything - he just walked in the door and yelled at me for a leak that isn't showing in my suite.

Then I put in notice on the first of the month, that I'm leaving on the last day - but I get told, oh no - you can't do that, it has to be the day before the first day of the month, so you can rent it yourself or just pay us another $1600 rent.

Oh yeah, not to mention, they will guarantee to raise your rent every year on your anniversary by the fullest amount allowed by law, and once you are paying for parking - they will increase your parking fees by the same amount as your rent each year. Any place they can squeeze out another dime or 2, they are taking it.

I put in my notice to move out at the end of this month, and now 2 weeks before I leave, they needed to come in for another inspection, this time all they wanted was to take pictures of all my possessions. Literally stood in my kitchen and took a wide picture of my living room, went into the living room and took a wide picture of my kitchen. Went into my bedroom and bathroom and took full pictures of all my stuff. Didn't ask what was broken, didn't ask if I thought there was an issue. Didn't check any taps, none of the locks or windows - just took pictures of my stuff. The ultimate indignity to just walk into someone's home and take pictures of their life without any permission nor purpose at all.

I don't understand the audacity of this company. They treat every tenant as though we are the worst tenant they have had and that they need to force idiotic rules and home invasions onto us. Back off and leave your tenants alone, focus on the problems and be kind to those of us that have always been great tenants.

I have nothing but problems since I moved in. ...

I have nothing but problems since I moved in. most of the staff is incompetent and lazy. The people who do the maintenance aren't any good.
The building used to be very neat but since the only good managers have quit. I put in for a transfer to a 2 bdrm and put my name on the list. There was two 2 bdrm available and it was rented to someone not on the list. Instead of correcting the error they just ignored it. Now I am being harassed by the managers to show my unit 4 times this week. I just gave my notice yesterday and already they are bothering me. I asked if they could change some of the times but they wouldn't. Can't wait to get out of here !!!!!

Tom McPherson the wannabe superintendent at 945-955 Huron Street London is a lying instagating maggot.
Eats hate 3 times a day.
Talks openly about the "faggots"everywhere
"Handicappers"can crawl to the door before I give up that spot"
He tore down the posted handicap accessible parking sign and parks his Hyundai beside the front door.
This place with him around is a over priced bed bug and cockroach infested nightmare.

Reviewing application forever!

I am assigning my unit out. I brought the next tenant to submit all documents for application. They have been reviewing it for two weeks!! And the manager told me they will NOT refund my deposit… the case is still going on!! Absolutely no service standard! The manager here is rough and rude.

Dave and Michelle purves at 880 colborne rd ...

The landlords/super intendants at 880 colborne rd in sarnia ontario (Dave and Michelle PURVES) have physically attacked a tenant. A police report has been made ; the report number is SA22007556, if you would like to check it out yourself. The police officer told me to DEMAND video footage of the incident that took place on December.28/29th,2020 on the 6th floor. Now because the incident took place a couple years ago, no arrest/charges were made, although, the officer said if it had happened recently that DAVE would have definitely been taken out in handcuffs. There is now a police report now though, and the police officer told me to tell skyline that I need the video footage from December 28 2020, and that both Michelle and Dave PURVES NEED TO B HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THEIR ACTIONS. They also told me to request a dismissal/and termination in their residence/ job. As Iam now scared for my life because next time Dave gets intoxicated, who knows which tenant he will physically attack next. I have contacted everyone possible about this- so everyone involved with skyline now knows about it. Please message me back as soon as possible with the video footage and let me know about their termination- as they live in the UNIT DIRECTLY BESIDE ME AND IAM SCARED!!! Thank u.. Larissa.Little

Cheap company. I have had no fridge for over 2 weeks because they bought a cheap fridge and it broke down with in a few months of living there. All my food went bad and I have been forced to buy take out, over spending. They have offered no support on this issue, still no fridge here yet. They told me "bad luck".

Needed a place to rent for university and decided to rent from skyline. Biggest mistake ever!

Lived with mold for 3 months that grew all over the wall and into the bedroom. Slow to deal with the situation and told me constantly it wasn't a big deal. Had to leave the windows open in the winter because the smell got so bad.

Decided to talk to upper management to negotiate some sort of compensation and was told for a year that the paper work was processing. Just so happens that a year and 1 week after fixing the issue they said they won't do anything and to take it up with the tenant board, which just so happens to only cover issues up to a year.

Management did nothing and upper management did absolutely nothing but lie through their teeth. They are not honest.

EDIT: Also don't bet on their feedback link to mean anything with these review replies. Talking one year to management and getting nothing but lies, what's emailing going to do.

I find the staff at skyline Dunstan Street very pleasant and helpful especially Brigette, residential manager at 335 Dunstan St. and maintenance person John Murphy. Brigette was very pleasant about signing up the lease and all the paperwork that was involved and she had pretty good knowledge of what she was doing. John was there to instruct me on the appliances found in the unit All in all they were greatI Thank you for having staff as good as a Brigette an John thank you.
