We had a fantastic time at The Grand, we were upgraded to a harbour view room and were treated to an amazing sunset over the harbour bridge. Service here was friendly, efficient and professional. We got chatting to the general manager Colin who was genuine and approachable and it was cool to see him meeting the guests in reception. We will definitely be back!

Everything with the hotel was great. No real issues with the room. Parking is quite a distance away in the casino building across the road which is also expensive due to being in Auckland city. Food is great, plenty of different services on hand. We would return in the future.

Quite a place for hangout and trying luck with different games and slots.. and to have chill out drinks with fun.

Clean, tidy and nicely appointed large rooms. Central City, good parking on site (at a cost). Valet parking if required.

Enjoyed my stay here. Very comfortable, clean rooms with daily room service. Good coffee available at the Gusto restaurant downstairs in the mornings, they also do meals or takeaway breakfast/ coffee and pastries. The hotel is central to everything and staff are helpful. If you are lucky you may get to enjoy watching people do BASE jumping from the Sky Tower across the street.

I was a little worried booking this hotel but I was very surprised... right in the heart of everything. Very clean and tidy

the poker tables werent open on a friday night! so disappointing

The rooms are spacious, modern and clean. Central location, so great to explore the city centre on foot. If you bring a car, parking is expensive ($25/night in the garage nearby).

Was there for a conference and dinners, the staff were amazing and the food fantastic!

Visiting Auckland for work regularly I've stayed at many of the hotels in the city. Skycity is one of the best hotels in Auckland, a central location with amazing restaurants and bars all within walking distance. However it's the rooms and service that have really been the draw to me selecting Skycity for all of my last visits. Highly recommended!

Fine hotel..lots of foreign visitors ( Chinese with spare cash for the Casino). Good location with very comfortable beds. Lots of reasons to recommend this one

Love the food! Especially at dinner. But, since I gave a 3 Star Rate, before making a reservation always triple check with everyone if they're going or not, because the staff at Fortuna expect the number of guests arriving when you make that reservation. That's the only downfall.

This hotel is right next to the Sky Tower. There are many people coming in and out because the casino is inside, but you can't come to the guest room floor. .. It is easy to be mistaken for the next Grand Hotel (mistakes lol). The room feels a little old, but it is large. There is no bathtub.

Cons:
Car Park is across under sky city requiring you to walk across the road to get to, Not fun with bags, Also no free parking for guest.

After a night out get back to room at 3am to a huge yellow stain that was wet in the bed. Larger than a dinner plate. On pillow bed and also covers.

Had to change rooms at 3am, no one apologized, nothing. Felt like they think I did it.

Pros.
Nice room, large shower and bathroom.

Never stay again. If I wanted a yellow bed I would have stayed somewhere cheaper. Have done heaps of traveling world wide first yellow bed stain.

Great place for wining and dining and if you're feeling lucky, head on down to the casino for a game or two.

Good hotel with large, clean rooms right on the Skytower. Good connection to local public transport and only a 10m walk from the pier

Today lunch in Fortuna restaurant was not ok .
Roast chicken was very dry .Mussle was so plain should have a taste of sea salt on it .Soup I serve my soup as I sit down to eat was cold already. Should be warm as a temperature of restaurant soup.
Mince dish was very watery like soup.

Service was good.

Lovely place. I went there for casino. Have won some $$ Very nice place, staffs are very attentive and helpful. Poker, slot machines and so many stuffs for entertainment. I can guarantee you won't feel bored once you enter. If you look young then don't forget to carry your id. Must visit once for better experience.

Verified review. Staff is top notch, we were able to leave our bags and freshen up after a very long flight. We were notified by email when our room was ready and it has exceeded my expectations. Location is a central as you can get in the CBD.

This hotel is superb everything you expect from a 5 Star Hotel. Fantastic dining options either on site or just outside front doors of hotel ( And these are award winning resturants also) and can charged back to your room.Rooms are nicely laid out some great views however you will have to ask when booking.Gym & pool area are very modern and are very clean and tidy. Some staff could be a little more friendly.

No matter where you go, you can return to the hotel without hesitation.
Hotel rooms are normal.
There were casinos, but there were many Chinese people.
Please go to see the night view of the tower.
