Echoing the reports of my colleagues... We had the kind of experience that left us all talking about (and laughing at) the egotistical bartender who felt so superior to us that he questioned whether or not we knew that we could make his job easier on him if we could all just download, learn about, and go through the effort of transferring payments between the group via Venmo to pay our bill. This would, after all, make his job easier on him. Last I checked, it is the restaurant's job to collect payment, and accommodate payment methods for guests. Having worked in restaurants for 15 years myself, I know that it may be a pain to split a bill a million ways (especially if you are busy), but we we were just 5 people, who wanted 5 bills, and the restaurant was not even half full. I feel so bad that he had to spend an additional 45 seconds of his life accommodating those of us giving him money (insert eye roll emoji). He made us feel that we were a major inconvenience to him - OH wait, just kidding, he actually said that.

Anyway, I have never posted a review on ANY business, but this place is not worth your time simply because the totally impolite customer service will make you forget about the okay food and tiny glass of wine that you just had.

When we go downtown, we seem to always end up at the Vintage Wine Bar. They have an excellent selection of wines both domestically and internationally. My girlfriend always orders the prosecco. I got a dry Grey Goose Martini with olives. It was made perfectly. They also have some nice choices of beer and a well stocked bar to make any cocktail.

This is a great and really cute and dimly lit place to bring your significant other. If youre really into wines and want to feel like your drinking in a retro european wine cellar, this is the spot. Very friendly staff, great service and last but not least, decent food. Pictured here is their flagship burger dish. Other dishes include overpriced appetizers and countless other french/spanish inspired dishes. If youre hungry, definitely get an entree. If you just want a little something to go with your wine, go with the appetizers.

There are plenty of great restaurants in Philly. This just happens NOT to be one of them. Food was below average. Salad dressing tasted like wishbone bottled Italian, ordered two different wines, both rancid tasting. Will not be back.

Rude waiter. Rude bartenders. We came from out of town and just wanted a small bite to eat. Also, apparently we pay a 20% tip for 5 people? We were all kind and grateful towards our server, but he could care less. Asked for the manager and he wasn t there ... convenient. Don t waste your time or money... unless you like to support businesses who treat you like dirt and take your money. Unprofessional and a ruined evening with my colleagues.

A big surprise for me was the curry cauliflower and chickpea salad. I never thought to mix those spices and those foods together, can't wait to try at home, opens up so many possibilities. It's not easy to find a good duck pate, the one here is very good if you have never tried it before. And my montepulciano . . .

The service could use some polishing, our server seem to be handling too many tables and couldn't spend time explaining the wine pairings properly. Apart from that, enjoyed the food, especially the charcuterie board.

Absolutely Fabulous wine bar. (Caveat Emptor: I personally know and love the owners) That being said, this is one on of the spots that will live in perpetuity on the Philadelphia scene. I think that sums it all up.

The menu was a bit startling with the short list. But despite that the food was avtually quite good. I had the chicken with the pomegranate. The meal over all was delicious. The server also recommended a port to go with the meal. A calm atmosphere fit for a good meal. Prices were fair. I would recommend this place to anyone for a small get together or a date night. Peaceful. Looking forward to trying other parts of the menu. Just wish i remembered what that wine was called. Was quite good amd complemented the meal. My first I guess...fine don't experience. Good place. So far on of my favorite places.

I wicked love this place, bro.

I wicked love this place, bro.
When I'm in town for work, it's our tradition to meet at vintage the first night in town. And when I'm in town for pleasure, I make sure to go there, at least, twice during the stay.
Fun, social feel to a wine bar that is serious about their wines. Great selection and the staff will help you wade through the list to find the perfect wine for your mood or food. The food is solid and staff is just the best!
If you haven't been here (and like wine) then go now. If you have been here then go again and go often.

We loved this bar! We are new to Philly but this spot made us feel right at home. They had a large and varied selection and our kind and knowledgeable server, Ed, helped us make our selections. We were amazed to hear he s actually new here! They must be great at training their staff. Great vibe here for date night and the people watching from the window seats was fabulous!

Had snacks, happy hour and dinner on a beautiful August evening just before a show. What a great place, open-air at the sidewalk, brick walls & nice bar. Started with a very nice Happy hour Cabernet and stuck with it, through dinner. Had The best burger ever, with the best thin cut fries, for dinner. The mussels and cheese platter were a great start too. I even bought a few wine glasses. They were a perfect size and shape. Did I say "Best Burger EVER!"

If you want to drink wine, talk about it, and learn more while you re at it definitely a place to check out. Intimate, cozy space with warm service and food was good. Miranda was our server and not only was she super knowledgeable and experienced in conversation about menu items, she also made us feel really welcome. We had a great time and will definitely be back the next time we re in Philadelphia!

Terrible experience!!! Just came back to my hotel from that place and feel sick: We returned our main course with fish (trout) that was off and bitter and a bit smelly!!! Well, somebody should tell them that poisoning guests is not ok!!! I think the local food safety ppl should visit them asap! Btw, they gave us a discount, after we returned that fish:15%???!!! :)

Where to start... Myself and my colleagues stopped in for a quick drink and meal while we were visiting from out of town for a conference. We decided to sit at the bar as the host told us we were welcome to do. From the start our service at the bar the nameless bartender, was poor. It took 10 minutes for us to get our waters and even after our entire group ordered drinks, he still did not take our food order. Let it be known- there were food menus at the seats...How about don t offer food at the bar if you don t want to serve it to customers who are willing to support your business. I would just like to point out that me & my friends were not taking up seats for other customers. There was NO ONE waiting. After being giving the check, we asked for it to be separate because we all needed to pay separately in order to be reimbursed for our dinner as we were on a work trip. We were apologetic and polite in asking. He immediately responded (with attitude that we did not order) do y all not know what Venmo is?? ... i mean i was quite shocked to say the least. Surely he did not say that, but oh yes he did. He proceed to walk away, and returned with a piece of paper and pen- just to ask all of us what we just ordered 30 minutes ago. (Seriously?) when we gave some push back for that he responded with... I m a bartender not a server, I don t remember what you ordered. But, did you not just serve us food? I would really appreciate an explanation as to why there are food menus at the bar if the establishment does not prefer to serve food in that way. Just make it easier on everyone instead of being passive aggressive. Now if y all made it this far, thanks for reading! Were from the south so we know good customer service and hospitality.

Ps go if you like rude people Bc that was a 5 star

Found this place on accident. What a happy accident it was. The service was amazing. The food was superb. The wine selection was great and being able to try flights allows for a true adventure into the world of wine. The staff was so friendly. The manager was knowledgeable and helpful. We will be returning when we are visiting the theatre district again.

When we walked in there were 3 servers, and half the tables were vacant. We waited 30 minutes for what can only be described as flavored sparkling watered down drinks, and an additional 15 minutes to get a minuscule scoop of olives on a plate
(because we have to order food)
The server was nice and all, but seriously how long does it take to mix 2 drinks and spoon a pitiful amount of olives on a plate?
The restaurant wasn t even busy..
overall: terrible value for money and even more so for service. First and last time here

Good beer and company but that's about it. I sincerely felt bad for my colleagues sitting 3 sits away from my table due to the nature of the bartender. Our waiter was fine but for the rest of our group I hate to say I'm glad I wasn't sitting with them when it came to payment. I can only imagine how it must feel to have someone speak to you as if you're the inconvenience in their day. From their accounts the bartender was not only rude but disrespectful and condescending to the group. After asking if the group knew what Venmo was he continued to be inconsiderate to each of them. Overall, if you want a beer this place has that for you but if you want lively bartenders (who don't talk down on you) then catch a flight to the south.

I had been there a few days prior and had a great wine called Loupiac. My boyfriend and I decided to come back Saturday night and have some wine and dinner. The waiter who was also the Manager was horrible. A couple that he apparently knew walked up, and he pretty much ignored us and had a full conversation about Game of Thrones with them while we were sitting there waiting to order. I finally decided to say something to him and I did not like his attitude, so we left. I will NOT be returning!!

My friend and I came here after waiting a while in line for another restaurant. We were seated relatively quickly. The drinks were really good (get the Dragon s Kiss if you like it spicy or the grapefruit marg if you like palomas) and the food was tasty. All in all a great time! Will come again!

Went here for the first time this week for Restaurant Week, and it was great! A friend chose the place but I'm glad she did.

Our waitress was great! Had a great energy and personality, and showed a bit of herself when interacting with us, which is always good in my opinion. Like I said, we came for the Restaurant Week deal, which was a 4-course meal for $35. And, since it's a wine bar, it's only right to have at least one glass (I had Cabernet Sauvignon).

Would definitely recommend trying this place out and I hope I can make it back there soon.

Been here over a dozen times and it's always good. It can get busy! So it could get packed. They always have new and interesting wines to choose from. The staff is friendly. The decor is cool. Been here a ton and I'm sure I'll continue to go back.

The waiter was rude and disinterested from the very beginning. I was there with my husband, son, and sister, and the problems began right away. My son and I were brought the wrong appetizers. Those had actually been for the table behind us. Then the second course came right on top of the appetizer. Then, my (and only my) 3rd course came. We came to know that it had actually been for the table behind us. So we waited for about 45 minutes (no joke!) for the rest of the 3rd courses to come. Meanwhile, our waiter walked by us numerous times, ignoring us. The table to the side of us, who had come after us, got their 3rd courses, which were the same as the missing ones we were waiting for (this was a special Restaurant Week menu). My husband had to flag down the waiter to find out where these courses were. So he offers to give us the Pellegrino water and my husband s drink for free (really?). FINALLY, the missing 3rd courses arrived, and my son s pasta (which I d just had) was gooey and underdone, and my husband s cod was...wait for it...FROZEN. He told the waiter, who again was as unconcerned as he could be, but did finally say our meals would be free. His lame and unfelt apology came at the very end and he very unconvincingly asked us to come back. Sorry, Charlie Was a Sinner is just next door and is where we should have gone in the first place.

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!!
