Affordable food and drink, and knowledgeable staff! Very interesting/delicious beers on tap. I was sitting at the bar and the bartender was very nice and helpful.

Good food but a little pricey for lunch. Nice atmosphere and good size portions

Only one waitress working the tables both sides and outside so very disappointed. Many summers we have spent here and the service is not like it use to be

Went to Skippers Pub for a date night. Was sat in a cozy little booth surrounded by charming nautical decor. Waitress was very sweet and patient as we were indecisive with our entrees lol.. we ended up ordering the Asian meatballs for our starter which I was very pleasantly surprised with. We also got the crabmeat stuffed flounder and the grilled chicken in black bean sauce. Portions were very decent. Left feeling not totally stuffed in pain, yet extremely satisfied. Definitely coming back.

This review is of the bar, where we went for Happy Hour appetizers and drinks. The HH apps are a great deal. You can't go wrong, try what sounds good to you. Make sure you stand or sit at the bar as the HH is not in effect at the bar area tables.

Food is serviceable, burgers, sandwiches. Yea you can get a steak but I never did.

Heard they were supposed to put a roof top bar on it, that would have been great! But never happened, too bad

Been going periodically for 40 yrs. A Northport Village classic. Small venue, with good drinks & decent food, w/very good atmosphere.

Great place to grab a bite to eat and a beer. Come during summer and sit outside to enjoy the incredible view of Northport harbor.

Great location---cold beer--my Cuban sandwich was just ok--our waitress Carolyn could have been a little more friendlier---

Get the Spicy Buffalo Calamari. Seriously. Out of this world. Super fresh seafood, good atmosphere for a get-together with friends.

Standard pub, the food is pretty expensive. Service was good.

Horrible!! Will never go back. Food is disgusting. My daughter threw up on the way home. Do not waste your money, so many nicer places to eat.

Our waitress Toni, was absolutely amazing.. she suggested the yankee pot roast for lunch... also told us about the specials .. she was correct. The pot roast was scrumptious and just melted in your mouth.. the place was cute and cozy.. I would definitely recommend this to all.

I got a turkey burger. It was very dry and flavorless on a stale bun. Disappointing and overpriced.

The food comes out to you nice and hot. Tastes great with a great view.

Went here randomly for a seafood choice of lunch and happy to know the bar is already opened. The staffs were friendly to locals and tourists alike. May wish to come back during happy hour to see this place come alive.

Really nice cozy place. Service was OUTSTANDING!!!! serve lunch and dinner. Lunch special was $13.00, two of us ate with generous tip for under $35.00, drinking seltzer water only.

I've known Skippers Pub forever, to me it was a great meeting place and a great place for hamburgers but the other day I actually dinned there and had one of their special dinners, a Pot Roast plate. I ate is all, it was fantastic. Skippers's is for everything!

Skippers must've been nice in 1974, but nothing seems to have been done since then, food is bad, service is average and the decor is awful, the location is nice though. They recently added video lotto so if you are looking for a quiet place to have dinner, this isn't it.

Don't order the mango brie quesadilla. Only a clueless chef would serve this, with the weird, unpalatable pieces of mango that were awkward to cut/eat. The brie just doesn't work, either with brie or with mango. The onion rings were so awful because the batter was dry, crumbly, tasteless and server brought NO dip. Really? A bar doesn't have a side of ranch to serve as a dip? Also, no real soap in bathroom which makes me cringe bc I wonder how staff wash their hands?! It was a cheap liquid soap pump that had run out so it was kept, just refilled with water. How classy! Not cheap at all. Oddly, this town stops living at sundown it seems, because on a Friday night, FRIDAY, they close at 10:30pm. Other places were either closed or closing by 9:30pm. Omg! What is this, Mayberry? The steak cut french fries were the only decent bar food. When I'm in the area again, I'll be sure to go elsewhere. This spot wasn't worth a revisit.

I ve been here a few times because the food is predictable and will please different palates. But every time, the staff is rude. We went for dinner tonight and the hostess and waitress were both rude. They weren t terribly busy and there was no reason for it. We wanted a candle in a dessert for my mother in law s birthday and the waitress said, oh, the apple cobbler isn t a problem, but the candle might be. What kind of a family, regular place doesn t have a candle? I worked in restaurants for decades and there always are candles. Skip this place for better food everywhere else in town where people aren t rude.

Went to Skippers in Northport for dinner, and I ordered a lobster roll for $21. The order came and there was about 3 teaspoons full of lobster meat on a mini roll. (I ate it in three bites) Bottom of the basket dry pieces of French fries. I complained nicely to the waitress and she looked at me blankly, shrugged her shoulders and walked away. Didn't ask if I wanted anything else, dessert. NOTHING. Never came back to ask us if we wanted a refill on our drinks. The piece of resistance was a piece of plastic that I chewed and came out of my mouth. I should've complained to the owner but I was so angry at that point I just wanted to go home. NEVER GOING BACK TO SKIPPERS again. I pray that don't approve the rooftop seating either.

Good food and fast service. Carolyn was very friendly and brought our food promptly. I had the fried clam po boy with fries and it was delicious! My wife had the vegetable panini which she loved.

Come for the drinks/apps, Stay for the Music. We had zucchini sticks and fried calamari - it was nice! Bar service was good and swift. They have live acoustic music on Saturday nights - mostly playing 90's and 2000 rock/pop songs with some new stuff here and there. I'd recommend it.

Great place in the village of north Port by the water. Excellent food and exceptional service!

Bar tender was super mean and couldn t be bothered , just moved here. First time last time

We had a party of 9 and they accommodated well! Went in with less then average expectations and was pleasantly surprised the more the food came out! I got their burger and could tell they ground their own blend in house which is a great sign. My mom got their special of citrus chicken and we absolutely loved it! The sauce was to die for and the cook on the chicken was perfect! I could have done with out the sides but all in all the flavor was there. Would I go back? Yes. Recommend 8/10

This Marylander loves Skippers! Been coming to this area my whole life to visit family and this has become my dining go-to. The food is excellent & reasonably priced, the staff is friendly and there are some great beers on tap. If you want classic Northport dining, this place is it.

Food just ok. Menu limited. Almost all entrees were the same price.

I LOVE this place!!! The food was absolutely delicious. I really enjoyed the lobster bisque and also the salmon corn and spinach salad!!! The service was excellent also!! Will definitely be back!!

Enjoyed their hospitality one cool spring day in 2016.
