I recently attended a skating class with Skate Journeys and it was an excellent experience. The instructors were very helpful and patient. They gave clear instructions and made sure everyone felt comfortable on the skates. Highly recommend!

OMG... I'm 64yo and I just had the most fun I've had in years. Today I took my first roller skating lesson on in-line skates from Jake at Skate Journeys in Kenmore. Absolutely felt like a kid again. Josh had me skating backwards by the end of 50 minutes (a childhood dream of mine).
They rent you all the equipment (skates, knee pads, elbow pads, wrist guards) and teach you in an inside "rink" for your first lesson ($25 - 2nd class FREE). Two of us in the class, and we learned how to fall plus a host of basics in 50 minutes... AND a 15 minute free skate for all levels after the lesson. You have to pass a skills test to move on to the next level.... very cool.
This is a non-profit skate "school" for all ages offered on the weekends in St, Edwards Park-Juanita (Saturdays starting in the fall) and Kirkland (Sundays - summer and fall).
