On their website they listed individual tickets were priced at $6 for just the science center. When we arrived they said individual tickets were not available and forced a package of 5 attractions which we were not interested in and at $33 per person. My 10 year old cousin and I would have amounted to $66 and my husband who is on an ep would have had to pay $40+ which would have been over a hundred dollars. We left and went to the bird park instead. Much more worth it.

Wonderful place to bring the kids on the weekend. Educational and entertaining for the children. Better than wasting money on entertainment with zero educational value.

Highlight was certainly the butterfly garden, which was very well maintained with loads of butterfly species.

Downside was that some of the exhibits are poorly maintained, especially the defence exhibits. Not that children need to see military science anyway but if there's an exhibit on it, it should be maintained at the very least.

Good

Fun place to explore science! Hands on and educational. The super friendly staff are the best! Often updating their exhibits. Something for everyone. Adults will find the Earth Science exhibit more informative, while kids will love the fire tornado and tesla coil shows.

Must be in every high school childs to do list. Need 2 or 3 days to view everything satisfactorily. Young kids may find it boring.
90s kids(present day adults) will probably enjoy the most!

Been there several times as a child and as a parent. Every trip was enjoyable and fun. Learning about science in a fun setting really helps to expand the curious mind. Kudos to the Science Centre for bringing in new exhibits from time to time.

I enjoyed most of my time there so i had wanted to give 5 stars. That was when i went to the Butterflies Up Close exhibition and instantly changed my mind because of a few things:
1. The staff were rude. They reprimanded those who had butterflies on them because the staff thought the children had purposefully forced the butterflies on them. In truth, the butterflies landed on the children by themselves. Some unlucky chlidren had butterflies in unnatural places (e.g. the palm) and recieved an unjust scolding from the staff. To make matters worst, the staff came up with the excuse of the children disturbing the butterflies while the butterflies ate.
2. The staff mistreated the butterflies. Okay, you don't want children touching the butterflies. Its a bit unreasonable but since the staff' other excuse was that the butterflies would be hurt, they also have to take care of the butterflies. One of the staff there grabbed a butterfly by the wings and tossed it aside, while reprimanding the child who had the butterfly on her finger. Surely the staff knew better than to grab a butterfly by the wings? I mean, the damage caused to the butterfly would be greater. They blame innocent children under the pretence that they don't want the butterflies to get hurt. But what did they do? Cause more damage.
I hope the management will look into this matter and make the neccesary changes in the staff attitude. Although maybe many of you disagree with what i am saying now, consider this:Science centre is a tourist attraction in Singapore, and the Butterflies Up Close attraction recieves lots of vistors and publicity. Hence, many people(tourist and locals alike)would go there. Now let me ask you this. After what the staff did, would the tourist's immpression of Singapore be good? Would they think Singapore is a wonderful country?Or would they go home with the thought:Singapore is unreasonable and fierce to children?
Let me give you a true example.A tourist has 2 children with her and she comes into this exhibition. After seeing the attitude of the staff, she reprimanded the staff. This shows that she does not feel happy about the attraction.Furthermore, the staff did not apologise. Is this what parents want their children to learn? To learn to become someone who does not apologise? No.Before the matter gets worse, i implore the management to teach the staff some manners. Thank you
