Sinai Health System Review

Obviously the staff don't know what they're doing and treat patients like criminal in prison

Although Mt. Sinai is one of the main trauma centers in Chicago, it is also one I would not recommend anyone going to. It is located between 2 ethnically segregated and undesireable neighborhoods (Little Village and North Lawndale), where crime and substance abuse/addiction prevail. Aside from the long wait (which is typical in any ER visit), you get all sorts of unwelcoming characters (usually regulars), staff sucks (unprofessional) - but not all of them; and the environment within the hospital lacks cleanliness.

It s nothing but money for these people they don t care about people s health. They always have attitude.

This is so unprofessional. Went there like around July to see the eye doctor and just payed for the appointment so now I go to holly cross and they tell me that I have to pay $300 at SINAI for hospital services and they never told me anything that I had to pay for hospital services. Now we didn't know we had to pay $300. If it wasn't for holly cross the bill for SINAI would of increase more! We re super mad and then the eye doctor gave my grandma a cream for her eye and it revive the virus that she had. It made it worst. Very bad service, the doctor was even on her phone while I was speaking to her, never going back there again!

Unprofessional, rude, and highly unorganized! More than half of the staff is completely repulsive! This is the place to go if you want to die in the EMERGENCY Waiting ROOM, just waiting! They treat their patients like numbers, and definitely show that their only priority is to get their pay. Heather from the Emergency needs to be reevaluated for her position and attitude! Repulsed to see that this a place where people rely on help and attention for their life and health! WORST EXPERIENCE ON BEHALF OF MY FATHER!

Don't come here. They are worth mothers if you are dying, they only care that they get paid. Besides, they don't have people who speak Spanish and the nurses think that by yelling at Hispanic people like that they will understand better. They are useless that do not help you with anything and when you ask for help they take a long time or they do it reluctantly. Yes, there are some very nice nurses but most of them are fucking old slugs who spend their time talking about their weekend and how many men they slept with.

Sinai is completely unprofessional. They nurses are constantly on their cell phones. They set up appointments on a weekend, (when the clinic is closed). When calling to set up or change a appointment, the nurses answer with a attitude.
The doctor I'm assigned to. Never gave me his contact number. So if I have a problem I can't reach out to him directly. Which is ridiculous. If you miss a call from your provider, hope that its nothing of importance. Because if you call them back, and leave a voicemail, you'll go two or more weeks without a call back.
Overall, this place is like dealing with school teenagers. They walk around as if they can't be touched, and fiddle with their electronic devices, while disregarding their job completely.

I never write bad reviews, but this is BY FAR the worst hospital I have ever been to in my life. Been here a couple times, once had to stay for about 4 days. Saw at least 6 or 7 different people who I believe were mostly students..actual doctor kept running in and out of my room to help others, so I'm assuming they're understaffed. Served old fruit to me. When I called once they were unbelievably rude to me, didnt wait for me to respond and actually hung up the phone on me. Not professional, complete idiots (never did find out what was wrong with me for my 4 day stay) and actually lied to me about a test they had to do so I would stay another night, then never did the test the next day because it was the weekend and it couldn't be done. So they just sent me home. Avoid this place if you can, it's just not worth it.

I found the hospital very efficient with friendly professional staff.Each time I've gone to get anything done concerning MRIs or CT scans it has been a pleasent experience..I have never been through emergency their but I'm sure it's just as professional

It's so bad service and they let you wait like 3 or 4 hours until you see the doctor.

Simply horrible! Floors are dirty, the bathrooms are the same way. Employees don t care about patients and doctors are lame.

Some people may not be the most professional but most are very kind

I had a wonderful experience. I was here a few moths ago and the hospital is much cleaner and the cafe has been updated. Overall I found a group of people that cared and were extremely helpful.

Its the worst hospital ever ... People are rude and they dont even let you go in with your family i understand because of the coronavirus but they dont even let u say something supportive because they are just starring at you like cmon . You gotta go

The staff at Mount Sinai Hospital is extremely unprofessional. They lack in customer service and conflict resolution skills. They are not attentive to the patients and their needs. The waiting rooms are over crowded and I personally observed patients leaving to seek medical attention elsewhere.

I wouldn't recommend this hospital to anyone. My family and I had a horrible experience. This hospital is dirty and most of the staff are unprofessional. Changes need to be made so the services of this hospital can improve.

This 5 star is only because of RN Benita in the ER department. Most wonderful woman I have ever encountered. She is a blessing in disguise. She is what we encourage other Nurses/Drs to be. She deserves these 5 stars. Lovely woman. Thank you for praying for me and my family and for the words of encouragement.

Horrible place my Mother and I have been waiting for 9 hours! My Mother is in heavy pain. This hospital doesn t have any respect or care about the People. The staff are very childish, it smells disgusting. We both will never ever come back to this hospital. I would give this hospital a negative 0 out of 5.

Place belongs in the hood, you only go there to die.....

I've been calling the Sinai to inquire about billing and It's been 30 minutes that I was put on hold. no answer, I don't know how high is the volume of the calls but it's terrible.

Nice staff at reception, speedy registration, wide variety of facilities, many equipments needs to be upgraded, continuing education is not supported among paramedic staff, stressful environment with many cases of shooting, library is small in size with no electronic system for borrowing and registration, some books, journals and DVD are mixed together (not organized), staff are helpful and friendly, and good security, I give five stars for keeping a prayer room for Muslim doctors and staff.

Above average they are very busy and yet manage to do a good job if you complain go to the county and then compare keep up the good work

Worst hospital in Chicago do not bother going there you would regret it
