As if I died and went to foodie heaven....omg dinner was amazing. Really worth every penny. We also stayed overnight in one of their rooms which was amazing. Breakfast was out of this world. Didn't think if could top dinner, but I think it almost did.
100% recommend restaurant and hotel rooms x

Went twice over the xmas period 1st time service was rushed the food was awful,
my main of fillet of plaice was cold the fish had a cheap flabby texture.
The mains don't come with veg you have to order it separately at an added cost.
The sticky toffee pudding was a large dry chunk of sponge cake cover in cheap caramel not good.

The so called xmas lunch was a small dry piece of turkey sitting on top of red cabbage! no roast spuds! no veg! not what i call a xmas lunch,
the xmas pud was dry and boring.

simply french = simply crap

Really disappointing experience. This place has a good reputation and I was eager to see what this place could offer. However the customer service was poor, there was hair in the basket of bread and there was hardly anything on the plate to merit the price. I usually am happy to pay top prices if I receive high quality food In return but I was severely disappointed. Worst still my gf was sick after eating some of the seafood and I was alerted by several other customers about this rather than the staff themselves who seemed disinterested to hear about my concern after in the incident. I regret wasting my time on the experience and severely warn anyone who wants top quality food to stay clear. Potentially I came in with high standards but if it can t deliver, it shouldn t be merited with the title of being fine dining.

The food was awful, was not cooked even I did ask to make sure it's well cooked. Huge number of terms and conditions in early bird offer. Even in using Gourmet society card. The requirements of using Gourmet society card are as follows
- 2 people (so you can't use when you are alone)
- minimum 2 starters and two main dishes
Most of the menu are in French, so you don't know what you're ordering (if you don't ask them)
You better throw your money in the river rather than spending there

Comfortable, intimate dining experience. Good also for small to medium sized groups. Not much choice for vegetarians and even less for vegans, hope some options are added in future. Great location on the historic St George s Quay.

Great French restaurant unlike any other place in Lancaster. The decor and the friendly staff made my experience very enjoyable however the snug seating plan and the hot temperature of the restaurant limited an otherwise pleasurable stay.
