Wonderful staff and fun environment. If you would like to go for the view I recommend going in the day time. At night its pitch black and you cant see the inlet. GREAT drinks expecially the lemon drops.

The atmosphere is fantastic as well as the food. Many seafood options (which I recommend). The view out the window is stunning especially during a sunset. Service has always been good and drinks are great as well.

Was looking forward to dining at Simon's based on the reviews of great food and view. Set a reservation for 8, with a note requesting a window table. Arrived to a table in the back corner with a view of mirrors and the emergency exit. Now enjoying a meal at 49th State.

The wagyu sirlon was amazing! It was topped some lime peel shavings which gave it a great rest! We were also lucky to be there to partake of halibut cheeks which were tender and delicious! Fantastic experience!

Excellent wait staff! Perfect service! The food is pretty great as well. One of the better restaurants in Anchorage. Save this for one of your meals when the weather is nice. Spectacular coastal views from most tables in both the restaurant and bar. Choose dishes that feature local caught seafood. It is very fresh.

Not 4.5 restaurant. The interior setting and view of the bay was great and we were feeling pretty happy until our server tried to up-sell a club membership. After saying weren't interested, he dropped a brochure on the table and suggested we read it. We never touched it and it remained on the table the whole dinner right where he left it. Classy move S&S.

We had ordered wine at the same time as dinner, but it came halfway through our meal. My prime rib was excellent, and so was our appetizer (halibut cheeks) but my wife's scallops and risotto was terrible (salty and under-cooked). The Baked Alaska was the worst we've ever had. The cake was stale and dry as dirt. For supposedly being a high-end restaurant, it has a long way to go yet.

Waitress was fantastic. Amy was attentive and quick. she knew the menu very well and the specials and was able to rattle everything off. Disappointed with the lobster bisque. Nice flavor but only four small little chunks of lobster were in there. Crab sandwich he's nice flavor but nothing spectacular. I've been there for the crab legs and the prime rib and both were outstanding. I should stick with what I like.

The only thing I disliked was how loud the bar was, but it's a bar at happy hour. I ordered from their signature cocktail list, so I didn't get an actual happy hour drink, but it might have been the best cocktail I've ever had. My date and I ordered the steak tips and the brioche burger and both were absolutely delicious. As soon as I have the opportunity, I will be returning!

I found some really good food here. You don't have to get the expensive dishes in order to have a nice meal. It can be really expensive depending on what you order, so keep an eye out if you care about costs.

My husband and I were craving a good seafood restaurant and settled on Simon and Seaforts. It had a good variety of dishes and they seemed reasonably priced. Double win.
After struggling to locate the restaurant for a good ten mins, of which we drove circling the building it s in, we arrived. So for those choosing this restaurant for the first time... it s inside the hotel to the left of the abandoned building and parking lot. The sign announcing it, is very small, and easily overlooked.
While our server was extremely pleasant and went out of her way to make us feel welcomed, the overall atmosphere of the restaurant was strange. They only keep the bar open, with a limited menu, before dinner time. Which is fine, but we wished we had known that... the two items we preselected the night before were not included in the happy hour menu. bummer. They also do not properly staff for this in between time, Our server was visibly in the weeds. It is not her fault but it really does affect your overall experience, when you can tell your server has a million other things to do than refill your water. Again not her fault, she was amazing and really did go above and beyond.
Now for the food. It was delicious! We ordered the spinach and crab dip for an appetizer. So much flavor. And the perfect ratio of bread and dip. Would highly recommend this, and I m thankful our server did for us.
I ordered the fish and chip happy hour entree. For $9 it was a great deal! Just enough to feel comfortably full, but don t expect leftover, this entree comes with two pieces of fish.
My husband ordered the open face crabby melt., I had a small bite and I would definitely order it on our second visit. It was borne creamy and savory and very crabby!
Overall I had a good experience at Simon & Seaforts. While I enjoy the incredibly cheap happy hour food prices, I feel they come with a trade off. The service was not as good as it could have been do to understaffing and I feel that was related to it being an offtime. I would definitely come again, but maybe this time during normal dinner hours.

Good food. But Over-priced. We had the Halibut cheeks which was OK, Salmon was good. The drinks were good too. We enjoyed the table by the window which had a great view of the Inlet. We had a reservation however we were made to wait for another 15-20 mins or so, but I guess they were way too busy that evening.

Concierge at Hilton recommended Simon & Seafort's as the best sea food in Anchorage. Can't say if that is true but it was very good. Excellent service, presentation, and food. Got the berry salad and silver salmon with baked Alaska for dessert. Everything was excellent.

We loved Simon's so much we went 2 nights in a row. The first night, we had reservations and sat in the dining room with a great view. We were greeted with rose petals on the table for our anniversary. Everyone who talked to us wished us a More

The waiter was on his first day, but he could have used additional training. He forgot my coffee and was very slow to non-existent on refills. Overall, food was 4 stars, scene was 5 stars, and service/training was 1 star.

this has got to be the best happy hour in town. skip the long waits between 3-6 and head straight up the saloon for excellent appetizers at nearly half the price of their regular menu items. the sweet potato fries and the BBQ sauce on the side were to die for. fried calamari was excellent as well, and drinks were very good. service was fantastic and personable.

I spent a week exploring some of Anchorage's better restaurants and this one ended up being my favorite. They have a very attractive dining room with window seats that overlook the water (by no means do you have to dress fancy though). They serve a menu of the freshest Alaskan seafood with seasonal specials. They elevate everything they serve from the salads to the drinks. There's tons of unique ingredient choices/combinations that show how much thought and skill went into creating the menus. The servers are very friendly and knowledgeable as well. Do yourself a favor and go out of your way to visit Simon's if you're ever in Anchorage!

Food was great. But when you make a reservation 6 months in advance and the only request you make is cor a table with a view and they try to seat you in a corner with no view you can tell they just dont care.

Went here for my anniversary with my wife. They treated us great, they even had petals put out on the table for us (the little things that count). Every server that came by wishes is a happy anniversary. We came by for happy later and it was also great.

Have been in before and had a great time. This trip however was a total bust. After we were seated we had to wait over 15 minutes to get a drink order in and I had to flag down the server to put it in. My husband's clam chowder was bland and not creamy and his fish and chips soggy and unseasoned. My chicken wings were so dry that I asked for extra sauce and even with that I couldn't eat them. The table next to us also sent there wings back. The house potato chips were nice and crunchy, but if you call them bacon and blue cheese chips I expect them to have more then a few random specks of each on the dish . Highly disappointing, is supposed to be one of the better places in Anchorage.

Service was mediocre. For a place with such HIGH prices you would expect expert service (same as I-hop), better seating (crowded, tight) and excellent food (very small portions, NOT all homemade, SEASONED). First time there and a bit disappointed.

I've heard a lot of mixed reviews about this place. I finally went, and it was extremely disappointing. The food was either overly salty, or just bland. The seafood alfredo tasted like bacon bits for some reason. The service was excellent, and we were seated and served in a great time. Overall, I would never go back, the food was extremely over priced for the quality.

You pay to dine here, if you wish to eat you go somewhere else. Staff is attentive and the kitchen adjust to allergies and other request. Food is worth the price in quality, quantity, and dining experience.
