The angry old man RSO #3 needs to be put out to pasture. He's the one people have been complaining about in the bad reviews -- for years, apparenty. Well he isn't getting any better with age. He probably shouldn't be around firearms anyway. When he's gone, post something here and we'll be back. Until then, I guess it is the 10 extra miles to the NRA for us.

Silver Eagle provides a clean and safe range for practice and competition events. Their conceal carry classes are first rate. I'd highly recommend them to anyone I liked. The range officers are highly skilled, knowledgeable and dedicated to keeping the facility safe.

I have shot at Silver Eagle multiple times both prior to and after their relocation, and have had a wonderful experience every time. They are thorough in their safety briefings and procedures and make it easy to have a safe, fun time. I also appreciate the RSO s commitment to enforcing the safety rules at all times. Today when I was shooting I noticed a man walking around with an open rifle for a period of time, which was very unsettling considering that s a clear violation of ANY ranges safety standards, but was relieved when an RSO intervened and corrected him shortly thereafter. All in all, I m happy that this has become my regular range.

State of the art shooting venue, expert staff. Had a couple of not-so-simple mechanical problems with my 30-year old High Power pistol and Rick, the gunsmith there, did excellent work and had it ready for me the next day. Observed range supervisor handle a sloppy gun handling shooter with utmost professionalism.

All staff knowledgeable, professional, and pleasant to deal with.

Really, really pleased. Keep up the great work!

Absolutely love the range. The store is fully stocked with plenty of guns, ammo and accessories; the ranges are modern, clean and well run and the rental counter has lots of options with free change outs.

After bringing a bunch of friend in for a shooting day and having a blast I brought my mother in law to find her first carry gun.

Rentals are great since you can keep switching out guns for free during your rental period. We wanted a gen4 glock 19 to try but it was rented out when we started. No worries - we started with a sig, moved to a walther, tried the shield then picked up a gen 3 glock. After a few rounds into the glock the rental guy showed up with a gen 4 that was just turned in. He showed us the differences in generations then took the gen 3 away. Mom loved the glock and loved how easy it was to try so many and confirm her choice.

I've never had a bad experience here and will definitely come back

Silver Eagle Group is more than a range, it's a one stop shop for any firearms enthusiast. I cannot recommend this place enough. The staff is fantastic. Bruce is an incredible instructor for every skill level. I've done dozens of his classes with Bruce and he really works with each student based on their individual skill level while focusing the group together as a team. Roy is an over all "go to" for info on ammo , firearms , targets, and accessories. Roy also helps out during the trainings. The guy is a walking encyclopedia of knowledge. He always has a smile on his face and info to share regardless of how busy he may be. Memberships are more than reasonable and at Silver Eagle you can take not only firearms classes but first aid , krav maga , and other courses that are applicable to every day life. I don't do a lot of reviews but I felt compelled to share my experiences here for anyone comparing ranges.

I stopped going there years ago. I had an agreement with them, as an Instructor. The owner and I shook hands on it. I promoted them to every single student and then, with no warning they broke the agreement. For me your word and a handshake is your bond. I walked out and have never been back.

We just hosted a customer event at Silver Eagle, and I can't say enough about the experience and professionalism of the staff. The meeting room was set with plenty of classroom-style tables, AV equipment for presentations, tables for catering, so all went smoothly. We then went into the next room for gun safety and instruction (for newbies), and SEAN and STEVE rocked it (along with other instructors)! Once out on the range, they were so helpful with loading clips, correcting your form and safety checks. I loved it so much that I decided to join as a member and will be back for lessons soon. I highly recommend this location if you're looking to host a customer (or team) event and don't want the typical hotel conference room environment!

I didn't speak much English, and I had no knowledge of guns, but the store clerk taught me how to use them carefully, and I was able to experience the gun safely without any anxiety. Shooting range fee is $ 25 / h, gun rental fee is $ 15 / h, and ammunition fee and paper target ($ 2) are used separately. It took about 70 dollars to fire a 9mm handgun in 1 hour, and about 100 dollars to shoot 80 rifles by adding 1 hour. You can exchange handguns and rifles as many times as you like for free.
I think it will be a taxi move because it is in the suburbs, but it is a recommended spot where you can safely experience a valuable experience more than its cost.

In town working for a bit, museums were closed on my day off so what a better way to relax than to go shooting! This place was an awesome shooting range. If I lived here I would have a membership here. Before I go home I'll likely be back. Top notch, high quality and great technology on the range. They showed me how to set up my target so it would go to any distance, spin, move in, spin again, move out, spin again. Set the time on how long you wanted it facing you, away from you and do it all over again.
It was a real bonus in practicing drawing from the holster to get the shots off in time. I know I need a lot more practice, and this helped me enjoy my day! Thank you!

Just had my first private instruction appointment with Bruce. He is not only a great person but of the best instructors. Bruce draws from his robust background to provide the best training instruction.
I would highly recommend to a beginner or advance shooter. Thank you, Bruce!

It's a great and is the closest range near me. It is very clean and maintained. You go in and are greeted at the front desk right away feeling welcomed. You go in sign in, go to the other desk if you want to rent targets, ammo, and rifles. oh also they will ask if you had been and shot here before. I haven't at this place but I use to go to the range in mananas. I do recommend you bring your own rifles, shotguns, and pistol because even though you get to rent as many weapons as you want within the hour, what will hurt is buying ammo for those weapons. They only use high end grade ammo for there weapons even thought I'm pretty sure they clean it any was. I tried to use my Winchester ammo yes the cheap stuff at Walmart, but was told I wasn't allowed to use it. There ammo is not cheap. Bring good grade ammo and bring it in. After you go and wait to get called to a lane. Yes there are major benefits to being a member. If you are not a member I recommend going early in the morning when it first opens. NO you don't need the fancy expensive membership, I got the basic one $35 a month. Once in the range make sure you follow all the rules, because they don't mess around when you break them. But you can set targets at different ranges, and can make them turn for quick draw. Very clean range. But if you are not a member I belive you have 1 hour to shoot. So make sure you set up everything first. The most time is reloading. A hour can go pretty fast, but that is a good amount of practice. You can shoot almost anything up to a 50 BMG, no automatic duh, and I had a friend who shot Armour piercing round that is a big no no. After you are done, you pack up and make sure you push the casings in front of your lane into the range to help making cleaning up easy. Then exit, and the staff will tell you to have a nice day.

I wish I could give this place less than a one star review. The coach who monitors range 3 is an over zealous moron who is looking for confrontations. He often resorts to name calling and has a racist attitude. Most of the bad reviews are because of him. A man like him should not be monitoring a gun range. The other staff members were extremely courteous and welcoming.

Brought my company here for a team building event. We had a reservation but they stuck us in booths that were not next to each other. I forgot one of their rules (which is not common to all gun ranges) that you have to case all firearms before moving them between booths. I was moving a firearm that was unloaded and pointing at the ground from one booth to another and the RSO, Josh, shouted "what the f*** are you doing?!" , Grabbed the gun out of my hand and berated me very rudely for not having it in a case. I get it, I broke one of the range rules, it was my first time there, that is absolutely not a reason to shout profanity at a customer that just spent over $200 for 4 people for an hour at your range. I will never come back to this range, and if you are planning a trip for your business, look into Elite Shooting Sports in Manassas, as they and their staff are much more professional.

Friendly staff. I ve gotten some great free pointers from the range officers that have improved my shooting. Clean and very safe facility. Prices are average, but membership is more than worth it if you re a regular shooter. They started rolling out some next gen sleds that are much better than the old sled/interface system. Overall a great place to train.

Very nice, clean, and professional facility. They have a fantastic selection of rentals and trying different models was easy to do. I had been shopping for a new handgun and had it narrowed down to a few models. Roy, at the counter, listened to what I was looking for and suggested a few I hadn't even considered. The one he suggested turned out to be a far better fit than what I had originally picked and I put an order in that day.

Shot at the range. About 2 mags in, the screw that held the rear sight of my CZ in place was coming unscrewed and obstructing the front sight. Took it to the RSO who was nice enough to get an allen wrench and screw it back into place and had me back on the lane within 5 minutes. Super nice guy. Love the people there.

Great place to shoot. The staff is super friendly and willing to help with any question you may have. They are extremely knowledgeable about firearms for all types of people. The range is clean and well maintained with excellent features. My wife and I have never had more than a 5 minute wait for a range.
This is a great place to shoot.

I had a very positive experience here and would love to go back. I and my cousin went here to rent and shoot some guns, never having fired guns before. They staff here were very courteous and welcoming. We got the wavier signed at the front desk and went to the sales area to pick out the guns and ammo.
The person that handed out the rental guns patiently showed us how each gun works while handing it to us. The range safety officers (RSO) explained the rules of the range before we went in. He also explained to us how that target holder worked and how to set it up. The RSOs also ensured that we had eye and ear protection each time we were entering the shooting area.
We rented handguns for an hour first and then rifles for an hour after. We were allowed to switch the weapon that we were shooting at no additional cost. I appreciated this very much because it gave me an opportunity to try out different guns. We got a Glock and a 1911 model pistol chambered in 9mm and fired 100 rounds combined. Then we got a red colored skeletonized AR15 of some kind and what I believe is the new IMI Tavor X 95, both chambered in 5.56 ammo and equipped with a red dot scope. We fired about 80 rounds through the rifles.
The range looked and felt nice. It was well ventilated and cool. There was a bench at the back to sit-on, some chairs and some shelves to keep our stuff.
To wind it up, we had a lot of fun for two hours for what I feel was a reasonable price, given the top-notch experience that we had. My thanks to the staff for being extremely helpful to a couple of new-comers and I hope to return for another session soon.

Have you ever wanted to shoot a machine gun, AK-47 Kalashnikov, or M-16 assault rifle? Silver Eagle group is the place to go if you live in Northern Virginia. They have a wide selection of guns and ammo and an indoor shooting range with remote controlled targets. They also have concealed carry weapons (CCW) permit training. It's a bit pricey, that the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.

I have been there about a dozen times so far and the staff and range safeties have always been pleasant to be around. They don't bother me while I shoot but are quick to answer any questions or provide service when it is requested. I especially appreciate that they remove the shooting bench for holster work.

Great indoor range with a small selection of firearms and accessories for sale. Very helpful and attentive staff, and very clean facilities. They're an absolute pleasure to work with if you're bringing a large group - quick to respond to emails and able to accommodate whatever needs you may have. Only downside is that they are militant about getting you off the line after your time is up (though this is quite understandable during rush hour).

One of the best shooting ranges I've ever been to. Staff is friendly. The facility is clean and safe. Top notch guns available for rental. It is fairly more expensive than other places but you get what you pay for.

The SEG staff is great, they are very helpful, respectful, knowledgeable, patient, kind, observant, willing to take the time to teach and answer questions in regards firearm related subject matter.
Going to SEG as a family we feel that safety is a very important focal point and priority for their RSO's.
Prices are reasonable for ammo, targets, accessories and classes. A very well ventilated, clean and modern facility.
Overall great experience.
God Bless and continued success

Ever since I was in the NAVY with the Seabees I've...

Ever since I was in the NAVY with the Seabees I've been wanting to get a shotgun because it's one weapon I really wanted to have for home defense. So I saved some money over the last year and doing my research on what would fit my budget, my purpose, and my style (Patriotic, Veteran, Combat Ready, Military Oriented and a weapon that's heavy duty). I finally decided to get a Mossberg 590A1, which anyone can tell you are hard to come by, especially depending on what model you want. I looked at ordering one online and having it shipped to an FFL dealer, but by the time you pay for it, pay taxes, shipping, and fees for the transfer on the receiving end, you really didn't get the bargain you thought you were getting. So I decided to call SEG. Through several email communications between Amy Shotwell and myself, I ordered exactly what I wanted through SEG. Amy was always right on top of my questions and concerns. She is the epitome of excellent customer service, not only in ordering the shotgun and getting me the best deal that I could find for the process, but making sure the deal was completed all the way through. The staff at SEG is incredibly professional and dedicated to making their customers happy. Thank you to Amy and others members on the SEG team for making my money well spent. I would certainly recommend SEG to others who are in the market for ammo, accessories, weapons, and of course, range time. Great job SEG!!
